Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2nd) marks the end of the Blargsgiving mini-event! So, if you haven’t already, finish up that prize track, purchase your last few premium items, and be prepared to see the mini-event leave our games tomorrow morning!
Note: Christmas/Winter and SNOW will likely be arriving soon. So if you want to do some designing in your Springfield while it’s still green make sure you do it soon before the snow arrives. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting until January…
And a note about the tokens. Do not assume they’ll carry over to another event. Use them now or lose them. The tokens earned with this event are only valid for the 2020 Gold Mystery Box, and won’t be valid for a future Mystery Box. Visually they look like a standard token, but they’re coded to only be valid for the 2020 Gold Mystery Box. So DO NOT try to carry them over thinking you can use them on another box. If you’re done with the Gold Box just convert to donuts.

Well this was a massively irritating event for me… Decided I’d toss EA the $2 for the dozen donuts to get the required tokens to clean the gold box out of what little was in it. Bought them on the 20th or so and the game crashed immediately after buying them. After 2 days of no donuts or tokens, I contacted EA who said it was still pending and I’d have to wait.
November 30 the dang thing finally went through, and at that time I’d had it and requested a refund from Apple because they *still* as of last night weren’t in my game.
I read this article after the event was over! 🙁 I really thought I’d still be able to use the tokens. I am not that angry about losing then BUT I think ALL of them should have converted to donuts since they were bought with cash. Only ONE was converted to cash and I lost all the rest!! I will never do that again.
Ugh now I’m going to have anything to play for in the game until January. I wish we could have the option to turn the snow OFF and keep our town winter free.
Enjoyed the Thanksgiving event as it should be amongst the annual traditional events both main events and mini (Christmas, Hallowern, St Patricks day, Easter, Valentines day, Pride eyc.) I hope we get more of these in the future. Looking forward to Christmas I would like Christmas decoration skins for the houses/mansions which dont have them and a few other buildings like townhall, Springfield elementary, police station and old folks home. Hoping for a lot of additional decorations as wel, was thing street lights which can be place across road ways with lights between them!
Thank You EA for bringing back a Thanksgiving Event (even better that it was a Mini Event) and involving 👽’s …. I guess the only thing missing was a metal Monolith (ie such as those found in Utah and Romania, then disappeared recently). 😅
Who knows what EA will do next (ie more Mystery Boxes?). I was just surprised has anyone else that EA quickly had an update available ….. if it’s going to be a Multi Act Event? EA has to start soon ….. unless they don’t mind dragging it into January. 😉
Alissa is right, better get your Springfield ready for snow (turn the ground green) and do it now before the snow overlay (it gets difficult to decorate once the snow is in place). Not every Building has Holiday Lights, so it would be nice to have this available – yep that’s something many Tappers have asked for over the years. 🎄🦌⛄
Liked the event overall but couldn’t really make use of the Golden Mystery Box and the Gold Token Prize Track because the game wouldn’t let me buy the $49.99 Store Full of Donuts deal. It kept saying I already own this item even though I never purchased this set this year. All my strategizing on buying from the Yearbook Mystery Box to ensure I’ll get everything from the Gold Mystery Box out the window. I also spoke with EA about this and the rep said that this was an issue right from the beginning of the event 🤦♂️ so lucky me that I got caught in it. Perhaps next year I’ll clear out this box.
Yes, thanks for the advice on the golden tokens. I was just on chat with EA and the rep was not able to give me an answer as to whether or not they would carry over!
I’m starting to almost run out of land and all I see from here on out are buy land tokens? Bought too many Mystery Boxes hehe… So where can you get them ?? I’m worried I wont have much room for the Christmas event :/
I thought everything in the small event was good, I kind of wished it was longer. Any advice on what to do with donuts? Also, is there anyway that we can find homers Pin Pals clothing? He’s the only one I’m missing 😢
Thought it was a good small event, for some reason I thought it would last longer. Really wanted to find Homer’s Pin Pals attire, but couldn’t. I hope they bring that back because he’s the only one I’m missing.
I like the snow so I can’t wait for that to come and see what the Christmas is going to be like. Any ideas or advice on what to spend doughnuts on??

Just decided to splash out on a truckload of donuts and I’m so pleased I did. Managed to get CostMo and Lard Lad Donut Factory from the bonus gold tokens!
I’m wondering if this is only happening to me having to do with the token quest. Apparently not all my doughnut purchases are being counted towards this quest. It’s happened twice, and I noticed it was when bonus character Shelby and item Ned’s camper, where included in the doughnut purchase that those doughnuts were not counted towards the quest. Is this happening to anyone else?
I have a question about one of the yearbook items: The Best Snowman Ever.
It appears I have received only the 1st level of this snowman. Unlike Moe’s Exotic Zoo, I cannot cycle through the other incarnations of this decoration.
Is this because the snow has yet to arrive in Springfield …or am I stuck because the minigame/event is long done and cannot build anymore levels?

You are talking about a limited time Building (this is what it’s considered once complete, but during the build it’s considered a Decoration) released during the Winter 2015 Event … and it takes several Upgrades (this involves
sending specific Characters – youngsters, dimwits, seniors, pessimists, gluttons, high rollers, kooks on Tasks when prompted to) before it is done.
If you haven’t been prompted to build up the Best Snowman Ever? You can wait until tomorrow when this Mini Event ends (but there shouldn’t be anything stopping from the ‘dialogue’ to show up prompting the build, in fact you can store it then unstore it to see if that prompts anything).
Homer Simpson has a permanent Character Task when you are done building it up.
No change after moving the Pile of Snow in and then out of storage, & no characters on a task. The only variable, so far, that is lacking is the snow itself. As the small snow sculptures (e.g. Ice Shiva, Snow Sofa, Snow Grandpa, etc) are full only when snow is in Springfield, I’ll see if this starts up the build a snowman process.
