It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Simpsons are all new tonight with a brand new episode at 8pm on FOX.
Blargsgiving is officially over and that means it’s almost Christmas! Remember, Winter in TSTO always brings snow to our games. So your green grass will soon be covered in white. If you’ve got decorating to do, it’s always best to try and knock it out before snow hits our games…or wait until it leaves. I except Christmas to hit this week, so be prepared and don’t get caught out in the snow!

Hi. The Springfield Elementary School has a glitch were the snow doesn’t appear on it unless I use a façade. I tried storing and placing but it didn’t work. Please help me. Thank you.
Does anybody else have a problem with Homer and a whole bunch of other characters being stuck in a task at a quickie Mart? When I login, there’s a bunch of characters with a complete a task at the quickie Mart. I tap on it and it releases them all back in the game, but then they go right back to the quickie Mart and start the task again without me doing anything. And the homer character icon in the upper left shows it but green checkmark like the task is completed but I can’t release them.

Last year I posted an extensive EA Christmas wish list, hoping we’d get at least one thing [we didn’t]. This year I’ll keep it short and sweet:
5. Ice sheets are part of returning content.
4. The return of Golden Goose Realty for those who don’t have it and stopped playing from lack of land.
3. Expand the land in Springfield Heights.
2. A search function for Inventory and Town Census.
1. My foremost wish, something that has bothered me for years, is the return of the Buff Homer snowman so I can finally complete my Simpson snow family!
I also wish Tappers wouldn’t post oversize photos in the comments as it turns the feed for me into microfont requiring much scrolling and makes it hard to leave and proofread my own comments.

Sometimes I get a Character’s Visual Task glitch …… they can be funny 🤣 (TSTO as a Game App has bugs, it’s still playable, but yeah I can see where you’re coming from with Characters hidden in Buildings).
Unfortunately that just seems to be the way it is. For some reason (probably due to coding) there are some dead spots for the walkways for the Number 5’s.
I had to move my Number 5’s because of this.
I accidentally posted this to the wrong spot. This is a reply to Scott’s question about why the walkways for the Grand Canal No. 5 building don’t always show up.
I started with an organized town, but as time has gone on, it looks like someone just threw up buildings and other things everywhere. Other than blowing up the town and starting fresh, any tips?
Depending on if you still have areas you like, you can get away with a partial remodel. Take buildings youd want to organize together and separate them or use them to build a new area. I just did a partial myself. My Outlands area got enveloped by new things so I rearranged it to put it back to the edge of my town and then fill in that space. Turned into about a week ordeal to fix everything. But no nuking was needed and I was able to keep a good portion of my town intact

I have a “Plopper” section in my Springfield, but I tend to use it as a means of putting Content into Storage (taking Content out when I have the space).

Some idle thoughts on Neighbourinos. I’m just wondering what other players criteria is for adding or removing Neighbourinos? I’ve seen some people comment on EA boards that they’ll only accept Billionaires and those maxed out on 939 – no condemnation from me, play the game how you want – and remove people if the bug that stops the thumbsup from showing keeps happening on their town or for not playing daily (both of which are a tad harsh IMO). For me I’m happy to add anyone, and for removing I only have two reasons. 1) Not playing for more than 4 weeks and 2) persistently graffiti (petty I know but it bugs me).
Side note: Have you ever gone to a Neighbourino’s and thought, ‘I’ll give you a 1000 donuts if you just add roads!’? How do you find anyone or navigate without roads?
Like you ill remove people for not playing in weeks or vandalism. But there are times when I may want fresh neighbors and ill see who hasn’t been returning the favor visiting my town (although I’m less strict on that with the glitch) or if people’s towns are a complete mess. I’d much rather have neighbors with cool looking, creative or well designed towns
Before you get rid of people who don’t visit your town, please understand that some of us (me!) have a game glitch that prevents us from clicking on your town.

You made valid points regarding Neighboureenos ….. I don’t have time to eliminate those who have left the Game App (I just wish I had more time to visit them).

I’ve asked this before but no one had any feedback… Any idea as to why Grand Canal 5 (the corner) doesn’t always have the paving automatically pop up like the other canal pieces in certain parts of Springfield? I really don’t want to relocate my canal houses to another spot.

Last Christmas I bought 2 of the decoration bundles [mostly for reindeer and bistro sets] so I have a lot of decorating options. The way I’m doing it is I went through my main inventory and wrote down everything I have that I might want to use, including things not necessarily Christmas like marshmallow trees and lollipop flowers. Then I think about where I want things to go and when I’m ready to place stuff maybe I can find it faster in a sub category ie poinsettias under nature and candy cane fences in the fencing section. Most items fall into the broader decorations category, fortunately most start with ‘Festive’ and are relatively close to the front, some items sadly are only in your main inventory and require much scrolling. That’s why I plan ahead of time because if I’m scrolling all the way to Wooden Soldiers I want to place them all, even if I just put them in a convenient bare patch nearby and move them from there. Have Fun!
Are there any items that give an odd hundredth of a %? I thought that the lowest percentage increasing items were 0.05%, like the white picket fence pieces. My bonus’s perentage, however, ends with a 0.99. Somewhere I got an item that had a unusual bonus amount.
Curious.
Patric spoke of this, once. Explained why it happens. I know my percentage flows from even numbers to ‘odd’ numbers. I’ve added flaming torches and my percentage moved from 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, etc….
And now is 0.95
It happens.
Why?
Patric? Do you or someone else want to weigh in?
I am pretty much in “meh” mode as it applies to Bonus % month’s ago. I always have more than enough to earn enough. “Enough,” not “more” being the operative here. So, no…don’t have an answer.

I was just curious, or maybe some ocd. If there was an item that was 0.01% or 0.06%–something to bring it back to an even %–then I would pick it up.
I’ve fully refreshed my town after a long absence, and I’ve even complete my tram line ! haha

Help. As I have gotten almost everything I need help in getting the last 2 prizes for upping my real estate worth. I believe I have everything and am still in the 400’s (I think the next prize is when you hit 500). Any ideas…thanks for the help.
