It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Clash of Creeds Act 3 is in full swing, with Act 4 hitting on Tuesday. Thoughts so far? How far have you gotten in the Act 3 prize track?

Hey It’s Monday ….. and I had no idea that FOX / Disney would offer up a new Episode Sunday night (“The Dad-Feelings Limited”) and it was cool to see the back story of Comic Book Guy (his name is Jeffrey “Jeff” Albertson!)😀👍🏻
My bad. I missed the episode myself. Wasn’t aware they were back yesterday.
It was one of the best of the year…by a long shot!

This episode and the wedding of CBG are our Most. Favorite.Ever. They are both so sweet. Made my anime crazy husband cry.
FOX didn’t do anything to promote a new Simpsons Episode for last weekend. I’m finally seeing promo videos on Fox Animation’s YouTube Channel today that wasn’t there (actually, FOX put more effort into promoting the new animated Series The Great North).
In 🇺🇸 , the Episode “The Dad-Feelings Limited” is on Hulu …. in 🇨🇦, my friend in Vancouver said it’s on Disney + (oh vey! these region blocks on YouTube content and where to stream Episodes of your favourite shows!)

Has anyone had trouble with the holiday tickets lately? I am still earning them through the daily tasks but I no longer have the option to spend them on anything other than cashing in for donuts. I have more than enough donuts already, I wanted those random prizes. Galaxy s20.
If you cleaned out the Santa’s Wonderland prizes already, then the tickets are only good to redeem for donuts.
That might be it. I wasn’t paying much attention to how many prizes there were or how many I had collected. Thanks!

One thing I’ve been thinking about TSTO recently is that it would be good to have a permanent low-cash character mystery box – say 1.99. I’d definitely spend money on that whereas I can’t justify 9.99 or more a time for a cash character or something like the Black Friday promotion. It could also help grease EA’s wheels into supporting the game for longer…what does everyone think?
Anybody else notice, on the loading screen, that Yahweh has 5 toes?
Matt Groening also drew God and Jesus with 5 fingers and toes in the show, stating ‘God is real’ in an interview (I paraphrase as I don’t recall the exact words).
Kathryn, my iPad reacted the same way. Many characters were off “chasing Moses with pitchforks” the more I committed the slower my system became. When the task was over the system sped up again as characters were released. I think the video graphics were just to much for the processor. All good now though.
For some reason my Springfield is acting kind of twitchy today. The movement isn’t smooth as I tap characters and it actually just froze up on me when trying to do the daily quest. But one funny thing…all the characters look like they are doing the twist!
It’s probably due to my iPad, but I’ll wait a bit and see if others are experiencing the same thing.

Mine is also doing this, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It started last night when I put all of my Springfield residents on a ticket generating task. All of my characters were doing it, now only a subset are doing it on other tasks. It’s definitely affecting my game performance.
For me it was that “accidentally” all the Christmas lights were activated.. once i turned them off with the switch it went back to normal. ooh yeah.. now you have to PAY to get the lights facades

From a cool/ cold foggy San Francisco area California morning
Have encountered a possible glitch in the past month or so. Sorry if it has been posted previously, but there are occasional blocked messages that prevent selecting ‘ok’, or any reply. Has happened a couple of times when the daily challenges are shown. Then some character is busy, eg, so the error message presumably appears properly- only behind the daily challenges ‘window’, preventing any clear response. Only after guessing that the specific daily challenge task requires a second character and freeing them, can the challenge task be started. Is this common? I might contribute to the problem with less than perfect close up vision due to Monty-like age.
Something like this has happened to me a few times as well, and it always seems to involve Helen Lovejoy.
I want to first say Happy New Years to all my tappers 🤗. I haven’t commented much in a few years but I do read and follow. I am truly grateful for this growing community and the admins that keep it running.
Okay, question for the ones that visit there friends. Do you click on that monument that collects all the money or do you let it stay unclicked so your friends have places to collect?
I discovered something wonderful this morning. I only had about 10 items available to buy with tickets. When I bought them all I now have the option of redeeming a ticket for 3 donuts! I still have 36 tickets and counting so
I think this might be a wonderful way to get a bunch of free donuts.
