  1. I didn’t get the Surgeon Moe outfit, looked in the inventory and everything. Am I missing something here?

The skins, especially for characters that already have quite a few, are the least interesting prizes for me. I rarely use them, however because I do love fun visual tasks a new skin might always become the default skin. For example I usually have Ralph in his Little Helper outfit licking the North-Pole, another of the missing visual tasks missing since the xmas event ended. Here’s hoping they bring them all back.
Out of Moe’s outfits the one I’ve used the most is the Emperor Moe one with the traffic cone hat, it’s convenient to have a one hour task when I need him handy. Rest of the time he’s seen serving beer at Moe’s Express.
To anyone who got the Surgeon skin, are the visual tasks any fun?

    • I’m about to find out if I’ll get it, in 4 hrs.
What irritates me the most about skins is the amount of work it adds to the game. Having to go through the entire list of characters, after they did a quest/event task in their standard skin and then changing it back to a premium skin is such a royal PITA.
EA really needs to overhaul some of the game mechanics that make this game unnecessarily time consuming and inevitably may turn people off of the game because you just get burnout.
Some of my main wishes would be to add a search function to both the inventory and also the city hall/people. Another is that they need to change that characters with an open quest don’t get sent to work via the unemployment office. Clicking through every single one to say, for example, send them on a 4hr task vs them doing a 1hr hour task because there happens to be a quest that involves all springfielders… it’s just so much more of an inconvenience than a character being sent on a task and then realizing he would have had a quest. If what I’m trying to explain here makes sense to others.
There’s really quite a few things that are long overdue for them to change. It’s just going to keep piling on and piling on. Yes they just recently gave us the item limit increase, but at the speed that they have been making positive changes… it’s just not enough. I mean how much effort could it be for one of the devs at EA to implement people search and item search at least?

I really hope they wisen up soon and listen to their players more often instead of just throwing us a bone every couple of years…
I started playing in 2014, stuck with it for a good while, playing entirely too much if ya ask me, but then I got burnt out. Came back again in 2017, same thing. And came back the second time a couple of months back and I’m already starting to get that bleh feeling again. The way the game is structured right now is just tiresome. 😕

  2. It’s a decent filler event, a nice riff on the diet fad that usually follows Xmas, with some fun awards and characters (who doesn’t want an octoparrot?) but if it had fixed the tasks bugs and removed the snow I’d have been a lot happier.

  3. Great. For their next trick, can EA please restore the tasks that disappeared for so many characters I won’t bother to name them here?

  4. Did anyone else notice that Alice Glick’s 4-hour-task isn’t animated anymore? It’s still listed as an animated job but she just disappears infront of the Original Brown House. I first noticed this a few weeks ago, so it can’t be related to the recent problem with the missing tasks. I wonder if EA decided that it was too morbid and subsequently censored it.

  5. a little futurama nod… nice… but its a bleh update…

  6. Undesirable rewards, hard pass on this round

  7. I encourage Tappers to watch “The Heartbroke Kid” (17th Episode, 16th Season) in order to understand where the Event Prizes come from (except the Premium Character Combo – that’s a wildcard!) ….. halfway thru this Mini Event. 😀👍🏻
