We’ve received our info packet from EA and we’re FINALLY allowed to share the details with you! Curious about what’s included in the next event? When does it start? How many donuts do you need? Well done on the video, its nice to present things in a variety of formats. I’m looking forward to the event as there appear to be plenty of additional items to collect. I work hard to maintain a fairly comprehensive Springfield and don’t put any past update material into storage, yet i still have plenty of land thats currently available. If only the mystery box would contain any of the few characters i missed over the 8 years I’ve been playing the game!

Not in general just on the prize tracks. I own almost everything in the game and if I don’t it’s because I didn’t want it to begin with. So it’s just a waste of a prize in my opinion.
Any chance you posted who we need to keep out for tomorrow’s update. I don’t want to put the wrong character on a 24 hour job. Thanks.
The characters mentioned in the video are the ones you’ll want to keep free…

If you are using an iOS device, I had the same issue until I was able to download the update from the Apple store a couple of hours ago.
Once the update was loaded I was able to log into the game again.
No idea what the root cause was.
It took a long time but same with me on Kindle 🙂 Thanks and take care!
Great idea with the video, but could you also just post like the days of old what’s going on, as it is easier to search and find key bits of information without having to watch a video multiple time. Site is awesome
So as soon as the event goes live in the game I’ll be doing the normal rundown post. So all of that info will be available (starting tomorrow morning) for each Act. Nothing will change on the site. The only difference is with the spoilers instead of doing 1 long post with just images…which is what I usually do…we did a video with a TON of detail. But all the usual info you know and love from this site about events will be live starting tomorrow…so have no fear! Addicts will still operate as usual 🙂

So by not watching the video you’re just missing the spoilers. But tomorrow morning you’ll still see all the Act 1 detail, as you normally would once it’s live in game.

I have to admit I kind of like the mystery box tokens as a prize. But I never had an empty mystery box so far, so there where always nice things for me to win and I like the extra bit of surprise 🙂

Hey, I think the Spoiler Alert via video was great! Thanks! As for the (yet again) Multipart format for the event, I certainly prefer the old days of interacting with neighbors and plotting strategies. However, with outside events in our lives, maybe this boring format is not so bad… I can finish up each part quickly and have free time for FaceTiming grandkids, sewing masks, etc., or take it slowly and drag out the tapping over the full 9 days or so for each part.

Autocaptions are horrendously incorrect FYI. I felt left out not being able to understand this either.
Sorry! Thankfully I put loads of screens with bullet point words on it. So it’s totally watchable without sound. (I had those who’d miss the posts in mind)

There is a CC in a box logo that stands for closed captioning within the YouTube menu (right next to the 3 dots), you can click on it to turn on closed captioning.
Hopefully they will have the update in the app store soon.. almost 1pm MST and nothing is coming up for an update.
As for returning items.. I am hoping that they will have Flanders from the Flanders Family Reunion.. I lost some of the characters and decorations from a EA screw up.. and they couldn’t get the stuff back for me.
Otherwise it will be no mystery box for me again. Seems I have everything they re release.
I haven’t had to buy donuts in a couple of years now so the Gil deal and premium extras won’t be an issue for me.. have tons of donuts and would be nice to spend them on something.
All EA has to do with this update is bring back Scratchy’s girlfriend and I’ll be happy.
Same here about no update. 7:15 pm EST and no update on iOS. I guess someone forgot to hit the button.
So much for giving us a week between events. Worried about where to put all the buildings and large decor. Space is very limited and I’ve had to plop new buildings into one section. I guess the Squidport is going to have to be a new place for all buildings. Please EA, give a new strip or two of land.

2/3 of my Squid Port Pier is Buildings as I long for EA to make more Land available (I’ve already started storing Buildings with no Character Tasks due to running out of space in my Springfield).
Speaking of land…sure wish Springfield Heights would open up with more land available for all the wonderful mansions we’ve acquired over the last several events. With that being said, I’m really looking forward to all the fun characters in this upcoming event!

I agree. Springfield Heights would be a great place to add new land. And they could even turn it into a Springfield Heights event. Been hoping they would add more land there for the past year or so.
