Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Spending actual cash on donuts for a character is back in TSTO. This is something EA’s been rolling out over the last few years, and it’s a new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them) Where they attach a premium, limited-time, character to one of the donut bundles sometimes in addition to bonus donuts.
This time around we’re being offered Libido, a premium character, for a tray of 132 Donuts ($9.99 in the US)..no bonus this time around. While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of Libido, tasks, questline and other details you may be curious about.
So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy….
So what is the deal? When you can find it in the Currency Tab of your Store (also by hitting Get More)…
Basically, spend $9.99 on a Tray of 132 donuts and you get the Libido character.
And yes, for those outside of the US I know my price is probably lower than yours. EA only charges 9.99 USD for this package…anything over that that you are currently paying goes to Google/Apple/Amazon for Tax and Duty etc. EA only collects the 9.99.
So, personally, I’m glad EA went back to the $9.99 price point for these (the last one was $19.99), and happy it’s a character.
Not a huge fan of the character itself, but happy to see they’re back to what should (in theory) work.

Libido: It’s too late now, sister! And there’s no way I’m going back in your mind with Honesty, Jealousy, and Conscience. Those three never stop yapping.
Lisa: Conscience I understand but you’ve gotta go back in! At least get off that staircase!

Libido: Umm, how about that Malibu Stacy movie?
Lisa: Really? I’ve actually been wanting to see that.
Libido: Great. I heard there’s a great kissing scene!
Lisa: Gross. I’ll be buying popcorn during that.
Libido: Extra butter for me!

Libido: I have a rare disease that makes me age backwards. They made a movie about it. But I was too young to see it. I mean, too OLD.
Raphael: I’m gonna need to see some ID.
Libido: I’m very contagious. Best we just go on in and keep our distance.
Raphael: Oh yeah, I wouldn’t want a disease that might make me look younger. Go on in. I hate running the projector for an empty theater.

Lisa: I’m not sure what bothers me more. The fact that you took me to a McBain movie or that you were so into it.
Libido: How many people do you think he killed in that movie?! I lost count because I started counting all the abs in the locker room scene instead.
Lisa: Okay, so we saw your violent, sexist film. Can we go back home now?
Libido: That was just the appetizer. Let’s chase boys!
Lisa: No! Need I remind you we are only eight years old.
Libido: You may be eight, but I’ve been aging in dog years inside your brain. It’s time to party!
Lisa: Okay, okay, since you’re going to do it anyway, let me think for a moment. What boy would be desperate enough to give Libido the attention she wants but awkward enough so it didn’t lead anywhere…

Milhouse: Now that we’re boyfriend and girlfriend, Libido, you wanna stay for dinner and see where the night takes us…? *massive eyebrow wiggle*
Libido: Actually, I think I need to buckle down and start studying more. It’s never too early to start preparing for college.
Lisa: Your cage awaits, milady.

That’s pretty much it on Libido. Not as bad as one might think, but still just an eh pickup. While I haven’t made my final decision, I likely won’t be picking it up.

I agree w/ TDill76, $4.99 is a better price for donuts & a character, but to complete the set u need Libido so I got her even though I didn’t need donuts atm. Liked this option better than another skin/costume for a character like Muscular Milhouse. Btw, anyone have a quick way to break down how to calculate XP w/ a 3000% for example? Probably for another post but I haven’t seen one. Any word on what the next event sill be? I like how this 1 came quickly after Xmas….
I held out on buying Strong Guy Milhouse because I felt he was way overpriced. I nearly didn’t buy Libido ($4.99 is more tolerable to me), but I wanted to support the game so she’s running around in my Springfield.
I bought libido. I thought 💭 it was a cute character.
I was thinking Libido might be a fun companion to Mr. Dirt. Is she oversized like him and the Homer/ Paul Bunyan character?
Is the stage task visual? What does she do there?
I don’t think it’s visual (there are no animation cells for it)
Yeah, I was incorrect; as Alissa said there’s no animation on the 1hr task. She can’t “Jam” on the Rock Stage like some other characters. Kind of a bummer because I keep my music festival constantly going.
But the main reason I bought her in the first place was to support the developers since I don’t really need to buy donuts anymore.
I like this character, it’s a girl that is VOICED!! Finally!
Also thank you very much Alyssa for the complete rundown, the character isn’t actually as creepy as we initially thought and chooses chaste studying for college after 1 kiss with Milhouse. And that ironic jab at Kentucky – oh naughty EA-writers! (or is it Matt G’s own doing?).
Just like Nathanengland I am very pleased that we can use her on our rock stages, besides the visual tasks. And I like meta-characters too. And she looks hilarious when she narrows her eyes.
I will be picking Libido up because I like all her features, and to support the game, and also to get more donutters for more characters.
Same, and contrary to Pat, I actually like how meta the game is getting, with characters such as this, the glitched Game Master Milo, the Wiggum/Cartoon Motel quest, Constance bewildered by buildings dropping from the sky, the Sky Finger Monument, etc. etc.
Also, I didn’t even think to try her on the Rock Stage! Lots of outdoor tasks w/ this character. Reminiscent of the Inside Out movie …
I picked her up to financially support the game.

Same, and contrary to Pat, I love how meta the game is getting, with glitched Milo, the Wiggum/Cartoon Motel quest, the Sky Finger Monument, the complaining about walking around, Constance bewildered by buildings falling from the sky, co-existing time alternates … it’s like a spin-off “what if” series now.
Also thanks for the Rock Stage info! Lots of visual tasks for this character.
