It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

And any other parent out there. My sweetie came across an cute idea for Easter Morning Breakfast.
Take a hollow chocolate bunny, nip the top off, ,fill it with milk, add a straw and the kiddies have chocolate 🥛 milk.
I think it’s something kids would find interesting.
Of course, I’m too much of a klutz to be able to fill the bunny….
That is cute for sure! My worry is the way those bunnies are made these days they’ll probably have a few holes and we’ll have milk all over the table!
There’s an advert over here where easter treats are used as makeshift glasses for Baileys – so adults can have a treat like that too 🙂
Just don’t fill a monster size egg with booze – it won’t end well !!
Family story…
Mother in law gave her baby daughter, my wife, orange juice. Put her up for a nap. Baby had a really long nap. Changed the diaper and thought she smelled alcohol.
Father in law comes home and asks, “ what happened to my pitcher of Screwdriver?”

This may be a stupid question, but this game, which I’ve been playing since the beginning, is KILLING my storage on my phone. Can I download it on a flash-drive? Is that possible??? I’m tired of deleting other things to make more room, (and keep stupid “Bart screen” from popping up every single time I want to play!). Thanks in advance!
You can move it to an SD card if your device has one. Otherwise there’s not much else you can do. It is a giant storage suck for sure!
That might work on iOS, but when I’ve tried that before now on Android it just wants to download all over again, and again . . .
Moving the other stuff to a flash drive or SD card ( or 3 ) makes more sense and has a better chance.

I don’t think I’ve played off an SD card in about 6 years, so perhaps they made a change.
If it’s an internal system limit it’s bad news.
I started my smartphone life with a whole 2 gig of system storage and the system needed most of that.
If I got the splash screen before it flipped out and crashed it was a good try, had to get a better phone.
My second town runs about OK on a Kindle though, but that is all I use the thing for and it is starting to struggle.
Maybe one day Apple will stop working out the price in Baht and then putting a £ in front of the number and I might think to try one !?!
Hi Everyone – I find that I really miss the more complex events that involved visiting our neighboreenos and dropping off “surprises” that were beneficial to us *and* them (e.g., snakes for whacking day, gremlins for a THOH event, etc.). Some of those events could be a bit time consuming, and I don’t miss that, but I do miss the interaction between tappers!

There have been several discussions regarding the fact that if people don’t buy donuts EA will stop supporting the game. I read on Wikipedia that they have grossed over $200 million from Tapped out in the first 8 years. It appears to me that EA puts very little effort into the game. Events are basic and glitches go unchecked for months and thus they can’t be spending much on the game at all. How much do they expect to make from a free game?
I think it’s more a throw EA a bone every once in a while and buy something…even if it’s a $0.99 scratchR once a year. The game is free, there are no ads in it, and you can still play the entire thing 100% for free.
Gross doesn’t mean profit, it just means how much it’s made overall. Just because it’s grossed 200 million doesn’t mean that continually supports the people who run the game. You need to pay for the artists, the writers from Gracie, the programmers etc for each and every update. Plus EA is a business not a charity, one that’s publically traded. They’re supposed to be making money, when they’re losing money that’s when they stop supporting things.
I notice you didn’t mention the servers EA have to be pay for !?!

It’s late Sunday night … and that means I must get to bed for a 5:00 a.m. wake up (if there’s insomnia? there’s always Hulu – lol!)
I will finish up those Questlines related to this Mini Event Tuesday (anyone currently having fun with them?) 😉
I’m wondering if Ned’s camper and the lemon tree has a questline now, that would make it worth $10, or if it is just a decoration?

@ Essence- can you please size your photos down? In order to accommodathe oversized photo, it turns the font on my tablet [and others I’m sure] to microfont that I have to size up to read and makes the photo absolutely enormous. Especially if you’re going to show photos for the next 15 weeks or so? Thanks.

I keep hoping they’d fix the neighbors glitch. I STILL have nothing to tap on with some neighbors. C’mon EA.. you can do it, I know you can!

I can only visit about 4 Neighboreenos and then I get the Bart Simpson Screen!
It’s not like I have a 100, I barely have 30 and who knows how many of them have left the game. 🤔
I’m forever finding I’m friendless, with only Other Springfield showing up for my second town. Force close and run something to clear your device memory helps with that usually.
When I do get neighbours showing up there’s rarely anything to tap, even if I pop to my A town and a cluster of brown houses I know are going to be sitting uncollected.
Two things that help sometimes, but not guaranteed –
Try tagging a building you can vandalise.
If that works and you see the tag show up, not just the action count drop, try popping back to the friends towns map and re-load that town. Sometimes it will remember to load fully, with the rest of the buildings able to be tapped.
My second town is 16 months old and level 939, and if I recall correctly I’ve got a whole four friends prizes so far !!
Ooops, forgot to add – if tag and re-load doesn’t work try and find another couple of buildings to go and spray.
3 quick notes for those who aren’t fans of tagging –
It’s meant to be a fun part of the game
You’ve got 4 buildings that normally earn nothing, but if you clean graffiti you get paid !!
If you’re worried about Righteousness just go and buy a load of Training Walls.
I’ve tried a few times recently to visit my neighbors but I quickly give up when two or three towns in a row have nothing to tap. Your town always has something for me to tag Graham 🙂
I’m glad, considering I’ve ignored my A town so much recently.

I would like to be tapping happy BUT I can’t get into my game. I am about ready to pull my hair out! It will not let me connect to my game. I have tried to contact EA but so, to no avail! Please help! I need to get tapping and gathering donuts! 😷

EA Tech Support has Sundays off (they will be available again at 7am Eastern Time Monday morning).
The TSTO Game App is the only one using Origin Account. EA has replaced Origin with EA Play and EA Play Pro (highly unlikely they’ll transfer TSTO to either).
In the event there is a Network issue (and there are globally), for whatever reason – if you find you are signed out of Origin Account? Signing back in is impossible until that Network issue goes away (it happens? just walk away and try again another day).
Be sure to keep your name / password handy for your Origin Account (especially if you deal with EA Tech Support).
Ok. Ive got a couple things. 1-since it popped up as a quest, I still can not locate Lady Duff. Ive heard its in the yearbook (???) But I still cant find her. What can I do? 2- Apparently I am at max capacity on my land expansions. What will this mean for future daily quests? Can I still acquire them?
With Patric gone.. will there be someone taking over doing the Event Calendar and Event Math? or is that now gone for future Events?
Yes. Don’t worry, the calendars were here long before Pat and they’ll remain long after 😀

Hello everyone! I’ve often wondered, which characters in the game offer the best value per task? I know Sherri and Terri are double value, Patches and Poor Violet and The Wiccans are extra, but are there some hidden extras like Bumbleeman’s “Attend lessones Espanoles” earning 300 not 260?? Thanks, and keep up the great work!

I thought the 3 College Nerds were a good value (especially since I got them from the Mystery Box for 30 🍩’s). They payout in Premium, their Visual Character Tasks are funny, the have Tasks at the College.
Gosh, Alissa and Safi would have to spend some time compiling Premium Character / Premium Characters (those that are 2 or 3 combined), but that would be a great article here on TSTO Addicts. 🤔
Are they EVER going to add that final Road to Riches to the game? It’s been in limbo for years now. 😢. And I also have another question. Do you know if there are people out there who would be willing to organize people’s Springfields for them for a nominal fee?
I really hope so. It’s part of EAs unfinished house…

Yeah, we are still waiting for the World’s Largest toilet. That’s right!!! But yeah, is there a way we can contact EA and request that they please finish up the Road to Riches quest line already? I mean, it’s kind of silly to leave something hanging for so long. And ARE there people who would design a Springfield if you paid them? Sound off everybody!
