I’m having issues with my daily quest from 4/6. It’s the one to check out the latest Krusty promotion. It’s complete and I click it to finish, my money and xp gets collected but then Apu shows that he’s still doing the quest. It says he’s at Krusty burger but I can’t click on it to collect it. All of my other characters are also stuck in this way. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions to help clear it? Thanks!

Happy belated Easter! I would have posted yesterday, but I awakened to discover that my beloved Moto G4 Play, the firs smartphone I ever owned, wasn’t working….the screen was black and, even though the phone was otherwise working, not being able to see the screen was kind of a fatal flaw, lol! So I had to spend the whole day researching a replacement and, because I wanted a smaller-sized phone (my old one was a 5″ screen, but about the size as some with a slightly larger screen now, since most newer phones use more of the surface for the screen), I ended up having to spend about 3.5 times as much money (about $350, before tax and shipping) on a new phone than I had on my old one. I hated to spend that much money on a device I don’t do that much with, but I’m thrilled that it has 128GB of storage, since I was so tired of ruining out of space in my old 16GB phone (which I got through Amazon and, therefore, wouldn’t allow me to delete a few Amazon apps I didn’t even want…and those things are huge!). At any rate, my new Google Pixel 4a will arrive at the end of the week and I look forward to spending next weekend setting it up and getting to know it. I really hope I made the right choice! 🤞
My husband has the 4a and likes it a lot.
That’s really great to hear…thanks for letting me know! I spent more on this new phone than I did for my new (used) Lenovo laptop last year, so I’m still dealing with sticker shock, lol!

Moto G4 Play? 😳
aye caramba that’s from 2016 running on Android OS 7 Nougat (as I type this on the 2021 Moto G Stylus with Android OS 11).
5″ Screen? Android device?
I’d say the Google Pixel 4a (2020) is the perfect for you (it’s a 5.8″ screen and that’s smaller then my 6.8″) and it’s guaranteed OS + Security Patch updates for the next 3 years.
$350 may sound like a lot, but that’s still cheaper than a $1000 flagship (not to mention the Google Pixel has one of the best cameras + it qualifies for Google Fi).
Kudos to you for getting so many years out of that Moto G4. You got Android OS 11 + 6Gigs RAM + 128Gigs ROM (okay the battery is small, but you said you don’t use it that much, so you won’t have to charge it too many times).

Thanks for the reassurance! It did seem to be a favorite of the reviewers for phones in that price category, which is part of why I chose it. And, although the screen is bigger than my old phone, the actual unit isn’t that much bigger, which was the real reason I originally got a 5″ screen phone for my first one. I have small hands and a small slot in my purse to store it, so a small form factor was ideal for me (although I also didn’t want one of the super tiny ones, either).
The Moto G phones from 2016 were actually quite good (especially for a low-end phone)…. I’m temporarily using my husband’s Moto G3 (which he got at the same time I got my phone and which still works prefect fine, although our cellphone company said it would cease to work on their network at some point, which is why he replaced it a while ago…but it’s still working!) until my new phone arrives on Friday. We tend to use tech equipment (and cars) for as long as it’s practicable… we’re not “got to have the latest thing” folks. But I do research major (and, TBH, some minor) purchases to death before making them.
At any rate…REALLY appreciate you taking the time to post that comment…I won’t say that I’ve been having buyer’s remorse exactly, but I am struggling a bit with internally accepting that it was okay that I spent that much money. I’m trying to pacify myself with the thought that the stimulus money I got was intended to be spent to stimulate the economy, not saved, so I’m just being a good citizen by spending some of that money to buy something (and from an American, not huge company, since I bought it from my cellphone service provider, Ting). 😉😅
You’re doing better than me with the stimulus money. I used mine to pay off my student loans… lol

You got a Google Pixel that’s got at least 2.5 to 3 years of guaranteed updates. The price is right ($300 to $350 is great compared to $700 for the Pixel 5).
I’m using a 10th Gen Motorola G (somewhere along the way they offered up three versions Stylus = Great , Power = Good , Play = Ok. the better it is the higher the price).
It’s very rare that you find a smartphone under 6″ (I have large hands so I can navigate a 6.5″ to a currently using 6.8″ size), so the Pixel 4a is perfect for you.
The battery on my smartphone is 6000 mAh (literally 3 Days of use before I had to charge it up). 8Gig RAM (if you got 6Gig RAM that works just as well keeping any Apps you use running without lag).
128Gig of ROM, you practically don’t need a microSD card anymore to expand storage (it’s nice to have that option, cloud storage is nice because you can share content between a device and a computer instantly).
Tapping will be easier on you now and yes you stimulated the economy via being a Consumer with your Carrier. 😀👍🏻

I’m thrilled with the 128GB on-board storage…I had issues when I tried to use an sd card to extend the storage on my Moto G4 Play. (There were two options for that and the one that would let me extend the storage for doing things like running apps frequently ran into issues, so I could only use it to store photos and such, which I didn’t even really need to much, because they were up on the cloud (although useful for times when WiFi wasn’t available, since I almost never use data, because of the type of plan I have).) But the 128GB better be enough, since my new phone doesn’t take an SD card. While it wasn’t enough, on its own, to make me want to spend all that money for a new phone, I was frustrated at having to remove a bunch of apps on my iPad phone to stop it from giving me warnings about running out of space. Part of the reason I got my old phone for only $100 was that I got it through an Amazon deal, which, unfortunately, meant that it came with a bunch of Amazon apps preloaded, some of which I didn’t need, but none of which could be uninstalled. (And those apps were by and large HUGE in terms of the space they took.)
My new phone arrived yesterday (days ahead of time, making me so glad I went with the cheapest FEDEX option I was offered), but I’m not going to set it up until the weekend, when I have more time. And, fortunately, I’ve also received the new case I ordered, too. Looking forward to checking out my new phone and I’ll try to remember to report back in the Sunday Open Thread! 🙂
A Google Pixel 4a doesn’t offer up a micro SD card slot, but 128Gig (typical software + OS pre-installed probably uses about 18Gig) ROM is plenty …. I move pictures and videos immediately to cloud storage after use.
A Google Pixel 4a does offer plenty of features you will appreciate. Thank you Amazon Prime (you can get the device + the case + the screen protector).
The bonus of purchasing an unlocked device that’s not tied to a carrier is ‘no bloatware’ (unwanted software, unwanted apps).

Actually, my previous Moto phone was unlocked, but it was, as I said, an Amazon deal, so included bloatware. And I chose to buy my new phone from my cellphone provider (Ting) so they could include the SIM card and to generally simplify things. The price was the same from both Amazon and Ting (although I did have to pay for shipping with Ting, which I wouldn’t have with Amazon Prime).

I have no idea. Word Press made updates and screwed a bunch of stuff up. I’ve spent the last week trying to correct a lot of the issues…
The only difference I’ve noticed is I can’t see who “liked” a post now. It just says “liked by 1 person”. I never created a Word Press account so I’m assuming you have to have one now to see the likes?

That’s weird. On my phone, I see the desktop view as well, but I can still see all of the comments.
Having a WP account doesn’t help. Here on the laptop it used to show who’d liked a post if you hovered, but now it’s just a link to the WP Like Widget.

The main content with a proper big like button is one thing, but I meant the comments we can post, as I think Justin did.
Not sure how that might’ve worked on a touchscreen, but leave the cursor over on a laptop etc and it did show who’d liked before WordPress mucked about.
Yea on a phone in the past you had to hold your finger down over it to see, which sometimes would result in you liking it as well. Let me find a comment that’s liked and see how it looks on my desktop. Going to reach out to WordPress this morning. Just trying to take care of a few things at work first, then prep for the event hitting 🙂
Hmm i just “liked” your comment and it didn’t even show up for me. Also on the backend we can usually see in the dashboard which comments were liked etc, and it’s not popping up. Very strange…but good data to have to go to WP with.
Add to your list that I now have to confirm with WordPress that I want to follow comments for each individual post (not comment, thankfully!) that I select that option for the first time I comment in it. Never used to have to do that!

Ok…as a general note. I just updated the theme, so no it’s not you it’s different. I tried to keep it looking as close to the old way as possible. I will write a post about this later. But after 2 hrs on with WordPress, the resolution was we needed to update the theme. The old one is no longer supported. This should fix the mobile issue as well as the like issue. If anyone sees anything else pop up let me know!
Yes Graham that was what I meant. There seems to be a issue with all the comments below this on this thread as well, as all the comments seems to be compressed vertically. At least it is for me, may be a temporary glitch though
That’s an issue on the mobile phones. It has to do with how many comments are replied to off of a particular comment. We currently have it sent to up to 10 replies per comment allowed. This can make for some crazy strung-out comment threads. The mobile phone settings aren’t wide enough to handle that, which is why it compresses it down to a vertical string.
I can adjust this by limiting the number of comment replies to a comment. I can reduce it down to say 5, and see if that helps.
Update: I stand corrected, it’s happening on desktop too. But it happens when there are so many replies to a reply to a reply of a comment, if that makes sense. Each reply to a reply shifts over one spot, and the wider that particular comment gets the harder it is to showup on the screen. I made the adjustment to the number of replies allowed. We’ll see if that helps, and I’ll try to get in contact with someone at WP later today to see if there’s anything else I can do to correct that.
Ah, see you noticed the trouble with nesting replies, and stopped them being one letter a line !!
If there’s any way to reduce the indents too, something to ask WP, that might also help.
I’d guess at 10 to 15 pixels for each indent would make the fifth level of reply about as far from the left as the third level replies would be now, giving them a bit more room.
It’s dependent on the templates and WP though if that’s even possible

Yeah you will need to pinch your fingers to enhance the size of your screen on your mobile device in order to see things on TSTO Addicts (’til enough people start writing to WordPress to let them know how screwy it is now!) and see what you type.
If you have a WordPress profile , you can subscribe to TSTO Addicts (for those reading this that don’t have a WordPress profile, it’s worth it because you could do the same). You’ll get an email alert that will direct you to your WordPress profile in order to reply to any posts here via a link.
I 💯 agree , do not mess with it if nothing’s wrong format-wise, but it’s going to take enough WordPress users to complain before anything gets fixed.

So, yes WordPress kinda played with the format of TSTO Addicts, it’s an adjustment but you may have an easier time on a desktop OR laptop until you can adjust doing this website on your mobile device’s browser (please don’t let that stop you from partaking and being social here!) 😊
Same here! I just cleaned out those who have stopped playing and put in an ad for new non-tagging neighbors. Some of them used to be very active. It was sad to see them go. I’ve been playing since nearly the beginning.

Although it just finished snowing here 🇨🇦, but will be plus 17 Celsius tomorrow and the rest of the week. Got to love living next to the Rocky Mountains!
Most of my neighbours have dealt with the Gingerbread Couch glitch so I don’t have to vandalize every time I visit! 🙌🏻 I just stored mine and it obviously made a difference as I have many things tapped now.
Although I do like to use the spray can every once in a while 😈

If you tap and get them off the couch or store the couch like I did, it should free up everything in your town for neighbours to tap, not just the vandalizing buildings 😉☺️
Hello everyone. And Happy Easter for those who celebrate it. Cannot wait til the update hits. I finally purchased all land tiles now slowly opening up more land through land tokens, this is going to take a long time. On a non tsto update, I had a job interview about a week ago or so and I was informed a few days ago that I didn’t get the job. But that is ok I have applied to other companies. WordPress made an update on Wednesday and some things got switched around
That explains my difficulty in logging in.
But,
Every day I wake up and celebrate that I woke up. Any WordPress issues are piffle.
Another site that details the upcoming event listed all the items available in the mystery box. I stopped counting ashen I reached 40 items.
There should be something that will satisfy the most cynical among us.

Is it just me or are EA seriously missing events in the calendar?
No St Patrick’s. Now no Easter!
Neither of those are regular (yearly) events in the game. Sometimes they’re there and Sometimes they’re skipped
That may well be but EA are missing a whole load of events these days.
If they are going to persist with theses lame formats, then at least please celebrate occasions like Easter.
We haven’t had a St. Patrick’s or Easter update since 2017 but we did get some St. Patrick’s Day and Easter content (new and returning) in 2018.
I get that its unlikely we get an St. Patrick’s and Easter themed update each year but it shouldn’t be difficult for EA to just bring back the returning St Patrick’s and Easter content each year in March and April no matter what the March and April updates are about.
At least we got a (loosely themed) Valentine’s event this year and I’m hoping that there is something 4th of July themed this year since EA skipped it last year. Again, they don’t have to add a lot of new stuff for 4th of July since they can bring back returning 4th of July content (I’m still hoping for the Fireworks Factory to return).
Aloha TSTO tappers, I have a question. Does anyone know what happened to the bell shaped symbol 🔔 that used to be in the upper right corner. It’s the one you could tap on to view past comment replys and likes. I used it this past week to figure out when the neighbor glitch started for my last comment. I hope it’s not gone for good!

Yeah WordPress changed the format of the TSTO website (you can open a tab on your browser to your WordPress profile and reply such as mine will pop up! you can’t even check the notify me of new comments via email!) but don’t let this stop you for preparing to share on TSTO Addicts. 👍🏻
