It’s that time of the event…time for another fun and exciting prize post! Yes, I know they’re your favorite, don’t even try to deny it. Ok, you can deny it. I think we probably feel the same way about these….but they still must be done! Otherwise, what else would I refer people back to when they ask what something does 6 months from now? Act 1 of the Rise of the Robots event consists of 1 new building, 2 new decorations, an NPC, and one new character.
So let’s take a look at the prizes on the Act 1 Prize Track: The Prodigy Barn, Chocobots, Bear Robot, and Rumble Trophy (Chief Knocka-Homer (a full character) we’ll break down in another post)
First up, the Prodigy Barn…

What Does It Do?: Animated when in use

Make Homer Accidentally Break Control Unit- 2hrs
Make Burns Flee Bear Robot Rampage- 2hrs
Make Smithers Flee Bear Robot Rampage- 2hrs
Collect Wrenches- x115
Once achieved you’ll unlock Bear Robot, this is an NPC so it unlocks like a character but has no tasks in Springfield.
Other Details:
What Does It Do: Like other NPCs, this robot will roam around Springfield and has an animation when tapped. Beyond that not much. It has no tasks and earns no income for your town.

And finally prize 4, the Robot Rumble Trophy…

Make Bart Ditch Nerds-1hr
Make Bullies Bully Using Robots- x3, 1hr

Build Time: Instant
Earns: Nothing, a decoration

What Does It Do?: Nothing, just a static decoration. (will likely head straight to my inventory)

It’s not entirely true the Bear doesn’t earn . . .
If you have the Airport you can send it on flights, and that’ll earn you a little cash and XP.
Seeing as that’s also true for Octoparrot I suspect it may also be in the list for Send Springfielders tasks too.
As far as I know the Airport hasn’t made a repeat appearance in the last four years though, but hopefully it will sooner or later for all those who started playing, or started an extra town, any time since Around The World.

Hey, Alissa, sorry for this somewhat off-topic question, but I didn’t know where else to put it…. Do you still do the annual survey of the folks who read this site (how long they’ve been playing, how long they’ve been Addicts readers, where they’re from, etc.) that you used to do? I have almost zero sense of time anymore (combination of age and Covid, among other things), but I don’t remember seeing one in the past year or two. I think it would be fun to do that check-in, if you haven’t already! 🙂
I stopped doing them after the 5-year anniversary. Just had so many other things going on after that (similar to how we stopped doing the blogiversary q&as)
I may bring it back this year, we’ll see what’s going on. For sure though it would be brought back for the 10th anniversary. (which would be 2023)
Is there any way you can pass along a Halloween or mini event suggestion for a future event. “Dia de los Muertos”! I have not seen this event yet and I have been around for many years. Just an Idea.

It’s too bad that the Chocobots cannot be placed individually. :\
I would have have liked them put them surrounding the Fortress of Choclitude as a vigilant sentry.
OR maybe put up some castle walls, and then set them as guards for each of the Cardinal Gates!!! XD

I can’t even get into the game. Deleted it and reinstalled from the App Store and it won’t even download the in-app data pack/updates, nor get to the sign-in screen.
You may need to free up space on your device. I couldn’t download this update without deleting some apps.

Hey, I got Chief Knocka-Homer this morning (“woo hoo! I mean beep beep beep!”) 😅 OMG! this Character is great and the 🤖 is Voiced! I’ll start on the Questline later today! 👍🏻
