It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Just lately I seemed to be swamped by Gremlins !!
Yeah – I’m not a fan of the five comment restriction, although I understand why it was imposed. I read the site on an iPad Pro, so the problem that allowing deeper comment threads poses doesn’t pose an issue for me. However, I also don’t generally read the comments looking at the site… once I’ve posted and subscribed to the conversation, I tend to read the comments in the emails I receive for each one. Fortunately, those show what existing comment the new comment was referring to. (Plus, in the case of your comment, I had no problem realizing what it was a response to (but maybe that’s just because it was a response to a question I asked).
So sorry to hear that. 🙁 Hope you find something more satisfactory, yet still affordable.

if the XP you earned plus the XP on display is worth more than 2 level-ups and the game reloads ( Barted or you tap Friends Towns by mistake etc ) Then all you get is a counter showing zero XP and a single apology bonut round.
I tap SkyFinger in my main town and that’s about 32 million XP in one tap, and if I collect half the rewards for that it’s a good day !!
I might not need the sprinkles, but many do.
It happens too often and leaves me feeling cheated every time.

Interesting – I never noticed that! I get so many bonut rounds just collecting one round of buildings and tasks that I don’t really keep track of what’s happening. Or does your thing oomph apply if you’re under the top level (still leveling up)?
Can’t remember if the counter to zero bit ever applied, only noticed that recently, but while I was levelling up in both towns I dread to think how many sprinkles Bart stole. I’m fairly good with numbers and usually know what I should get before I tap, up to the point it’s a big enough amount I don’t need to worry – in which case, catch 22. when it does happen I lose a lot more !!
Even my little town is now level 939 and loses who knows how much every time I tap skyfinger and sync. I make a point of collecting just enough tasks to tip me over the million XP for a bonut round and aim to have as little as possible in the counter before popping to Friends Towns so whatever I lose is minimised.
I’ve lost count how many times Bart struck when I was up to 999,000 odd and lost tons.
It was one reply each to the two new posts below – no idea why they came up as orphaned when they were first replies on both.

This one replied correctly, not as a new comment.
They can never guarantee the servers, but they could fix the XP counter so all you lose is time.
Look on Answers or the Forum and I even told them how they can do that – maybe they will in the next update but I’m not holding my breath.
What do you mean by “fix the XP counter”? What’s wrong with it? I’m confused…

Really a nice guy to see at the Conventions, very approachable, originally from El Salvador (graduate from Pasadena ArtCenter College of Design / Bridges Visual Institute in Santa Monica), 💜 his work at Hanna Barbera, and his last credits on The Simpsons was this previous Episode (“Burger Kings”).

I personally think that EA should sort out connectivity problems and open up the land mass in Springfield heights even if it means taken the game off line for a few weeks, make it so EA
Over the last couple of weeks there’s been a fair bit of chat about tech I’d noticed since I mentioned the Send Youngsters part of Spiro’s quest slowed my kindle to a crawl. Thought I’d share this :-

My Kindle has gone from just about coping to constant struggles and fails. Friends visits, next town, oh look, it’s my home-screen !!
Decided it was time for a new tablet and looked at one for £84, but it didn’t have details for the processor so I sent a message to ask.
The reply basically said – go read the listing !!
I went back searching to find another supplier no matter what, and got a better deal. Couldn’t resist letting the first seller know a rude reply was a mistake . . .
” If the listing included details of the processor I wouldn’t have needed to ask.
I must thank you for your reply however. If you had provided details, or even simply said you didn’t know, I might not have found a 10 inch Android 10 tablet with 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage running on a 10 core MTK6797 processor for only £52.99.

Less than 2 hours before the NEW Simpson’s Episode “Burger Kings” (if you’ve seen the new promos Fox Animation put up on YouTube? then you know where this Episode is going!) 😂
Finished Act 1 Friday, except for these Questlines:
Robot Rumble Announcers ( “he’s killing him softly with his saw” / “there’s no love lost between these emotionless devices”)
Ladybot (Not Voiced)
Chief Knocka-Homer (“bee-boo-bee-boo” 🤖 noises)
These Questlines can wait for Monday, I’m glad to see other Tappers enjoying new Content (and I see some great ideas for new sections in Springfield!)
Kudos if you got prior Content from the new Mystery Box (I’m happy with my Future Proof Homes / Homes of Tomorrow!)

I managed to buy a few Future Proof Homes at 45 🍩’s (so I’m guessing they are not that unique) and Homes of Tomorrow (expanded my Tomorrowland). 🤔
If they are still classed as unique and them being available is a glitch it could all end in tears. I know people were storing LadyBot and buying the bundle over and over, getting the building for 100 sprinkles, and that definitely was a glitch !!
Thoughts so far on this update ………. I got a shiny new robo-pet (npc) and I’ve yet to catch sight of it roaming my Springfield.
Almost as bad as that pesky little tumble weed that can never be found.
Seems he tends to head to the water.. I found mine heading into that direction and my wife found hers on the boardwalk and a few others found their by the water as well. . Check there every so often.

As I was looking for my robo-pet I found my tumbleweed, I haven’t seen it in years! Now if I could only find my guinea pig which I also haven’t seen for a while!!!
I can’t exchange Krustyland-Tickets into normal money at the Krustyland Entrance any more since this update (the option is not there any more). Is this a bug or intentional? Not that I would really need, I have way more than I could spend, just curious.
Have you reached the $4.29 Billion maximum cash ??
My main town has, and that won’t let me exchange even if I’ve spent some.
My little town still has the option, but I expect I’d lose it once that hits the cash limit.

I’d imagine it’ll be the same as the cash limit, which is down to how big a number a 32 bit system can store.
I’m somewhere around the 2.5 million mark so it’ll take a while !!
I don’t think there is a max KL ticket limit, but so far I have over 3.2 million of them.
Hmmm, I’ll have to watch for that.
The little town is just over $1.6 billion.
I never notice in my main town until after Itchy and Scratchy land and the KL nuke, and I’d maxed out on cash by then.

Lately been searching the web for some inspiration to redesign my town and realized how much awesome content I missed as I started playing Tapped Out so late – around Christmas 2018. Really wish EA brought more old content to buy for people who were not around, for example Eiffel Tower, Itchy, some China/Japan buildings/decorations or other important items from series that are unobtainable like Stonecutter Daycare Center etc

Prior Content will always be available in the Mystery Box (whether it’s the one we permanently have, or a new one strictly during an Event). By golly I would say between Thanksgiving and Christmas we get the Black Friday Deals (numerous Mystery Boxes), be sure to login and play so that you will score! 🤓👍🏻

Best Non Premium Event Prize (so far!)
I’m enjoying this update a lot more than I thought I would. I have 10 items in my mystery box which is a lot more than usual. I think the dialogue for the main questline and the announcers premium is great. Best of all, I’m usually motivated to design around a related ‘event’, and since I envision Cypress Creek to be wealthy, futuristic and somewhat criminal, mad scientist, this update is perfect for finally working on that. Plus recent stressful developments in my life have given me a renewed appreciation for this little bit of relaxation and escapism into TSTO. Happy Tapping Everyone!

You need a password if you have an EA account, which I hope you do, since it’s the only way to keep your game saved and protected! If you don’t, and something happens to your device or installation, there may be no way to get your game back. (If you’ve forgotten your password, I’m pretty sure you can reset it.)

Please disregard my previous (stupid) response…I didn’t read your message carefully and didn’t realize you were talking about your WordPress account, not your game account. I guess that’s what happens when one tries to engage in vibration before having one’s morning coffee! 🤦♀️ That said, I’m sure WordPress also has a way to reset a forgotten password.

Creating a WordPress account requires a name and password, but you can sign in with a Google Account, or a Yahoo Account (save that account info and check your WordPress Profile to subscribe to TSTO Addicts!) 🤓👍🏻
Here’s maths problem for you: I run two games, and in both I am part-way to getting the fourth prize. One game says I have 63 wrenches, the other 61. I play both games (almost) identically. To my mind, depending on how many characters you send on the task, the number of wrenches you get should either end with 0 or 3 or 5 or 8 (combinations of 5’s and one 8). So, 63 is logical, 61 is not. Am I going mad?
It is possible to get 61 with a premium character.
If you send the premium character twice for 16 and the freemium characters nine times for 45, you’d get 61. Likewise, if you send a premium character once for 8 and freemium eleven times for 55, you’d get 63.
The discrepancy is probably due to how you unlocked the third prize. You probably unlocked your 63 game third prize with the premium character and rolled over couple extra freemium characters. You probably unlocked your 61 game third prize with freemium characters and rolled over the premium character an extra time.

Hey, Alissa (and any other LEGO fans out there)….just read a couple of days ago that a second season of LEGO Masters is scheduled to start on June 1. I got my new phone mostly set up yesteryear, but am having a problem getting the Mail app working correctly. It wants me to add a mail account, but, when I did, it says that account is already set up. When I then try to continue, it tells me I can’t, because there’s no email account set up! 😩 It was too late last night when I encountered this issue, so I left it to today to research and (hopefully) solve this issue. Also need to find a good sound for my pill alarms and do a few other minor things. I’m hoping for a productive day today….so many things on my to-do list and weekends are my time to get those things to-done. 😉

Alright! That’s one of the few competitive shows I’ve admired (Legos Forever!)
Anytime I have a new Android device, I sign into it using a Google Account and then tell Google to ‘Sync’ (every App you used, every Account you had on the prior device should be available to sign in).
As for Email? I download the Apps for each Account (ie Gmail, Yahoo Email, Microsoft Outlook) and keep them separate.
