It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Before the webpage changes I could see who liked a comment, I can’t now, will that be fixed?
It’s not related to the changes, it’s a glitch on WPs end. We’ve reached out to them and they’ve advised they’re working on fixing it.

Both Malwarebytes and my own broadband provider tried blocking it too for some reason.
I know for a fact it’s not malicious.
There is nowhere where it asks for or stores any kind of personal information.
It sets no cookies of any kind.
The only textbox on the whole site is for a password generator that asks how long do you want your password.
There are currently no downloads and none of the javascript code does anything except change what the page displays.
How do I know all this ??
Because it’s my website, and every last line of code was written by me !!
Imagine my surprise to find I got blocked from reaching it !!
That’s really funny, but not for you I guess! I had a similar issue years ago when I ran a website for an industry regions special-interest group for a particular e-learning authoring tool and my company had blocked my group’s website as being malicious…there was zero on it that could trigger that, so it was puzzling and annoying. Fortunately, I was eventually able to get my company to whitelist it.

I’m quite enjoying this event, a tv/film studio and a decent sized factory amongst the prizes make it a winner for me… Plus the 2 futuristic buildings I’ve been able to buy more of… My Zenith City / Futuristic buildings area is now pretty big… I just wish their were more types to buy

Happy Sunday, everyone! Every weekend I say, “This is the weekend I’m going to clean up my Springfield!” and then it never happens. I have so much stuff in storage and got lazy designing along the way. Problem is, I’m now stuck with the only land available is that for which you need a land token. How do I get them!? I’ve read about Golden Goose Realty, but I never bought it when it was available so I’m out of luck there. I just wish I could buy land with money! I have over $400 million and nothing to do with it!
You very occasionally get a token in the daily challenges prizes, but they are rare.
It’s been over a year since the GGR came back and there’s been a lot of noise on the forum so hopefully it will be in store for the next update or soon after. Until then it’s squeeze up or store I’m afraid.
I was lucky that I’d started a second town shortly before the last time it came back and knew how much I’d need it, so much so I left cash tiles un-bought too and banked a load extra for the next time they add land.
( 592 tiles need a token and I collected 88o-ish )

You just have to suck it up. Put into storage buildings/stuff that have very little bearing on the game. Race tracks, rocket pads, if they only earn cash it’s no problem you won’t miss them as you have $400 million already. GGR May return its been over a year now. Sorry it’s the only way.
EA will have to do something soon with the shortage of land, long time players running out of areas, spring field heights prime land that just need opened, not a programmer so don’t know what’s the problem with that?🤔
Totally gotta remember tonight’s episode only because of the Morrissey spin. Lol I’m such a geek.😜

Mornin’, all! What is everyone doing today? Would especially love to hear from some lurkers…I know you’re out there – come enjoy the fun of interacting with our friendly little community here!
I need to get going on my Classics Book Group book (“The Way of All Flesh,” by Samuel Butler), which I haven’t even started reading yet (although I should have started by last weekend). I also need to finally decide which fireproof document bag to purchase…I’ve been researching and analyzing options for WAY too many weeks! I also need to finish straightening the gems and removing hairs and residue from the diamond painting I just completed, so I can put the sealant on it. So, not exactly a wild and crazy day, lol! 😄
Oh, and I also just did a little decorating in my TSTO town, finding spots for some of the recent buildings, etc. Unfortunately, it’s sometimes impossible to put stuff that would fit perfectly into the theme of a previously created area because it’s locked in on all sides by other areas (IT’S IN). How do y’all deal with that kind of situation? Do you try to move huge swaths of stuff over to make room or just create a new, similar area elsewhere, or just store the new item(s)? For example, the bicycle graveyard (with the abandoned pool) would have fit in so nicely in my poor party of town, but there’s no way to add it in there at this point. So, for now, it’s been put in storage.
I have that same problem with themed areas I have created, no room for expansion 😩😩😬🤠😋

Wish me luck I can finally push through a broadband switch first ordered at the end of March, the tablet that is going to arrive actually runs Play Store apps and my browser starts to behave so if I tap to reply it shows up as a reply !!
There’s a load of minor niggles too, but I won’t bore you ( too much ! ).
