Rise of the Robots Act 3 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Robots are coming, the Robots are coming! Get ready for a dystopian Springfield, as the robots try to take over!  Can they be stopped?  It’s up to you to save Springfield in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Rise of the Robots!  As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on May 12th.  However, Act 4 will start on May 4th (Note the Tuesday start date).

Things kick off for Act 3 with some dialogue between Brockman, Marge, Homer, and Smashius…

Brockman: In a turn of events that surprised absolutely no one, Smashius Clay and his small robot army have begun to conquer and enslave Springfield’s human population. Join us after the break when I will reveal my feelings about our new robot overlords.
Marge: Homer, this is terrible!
Homer: Are you kidding? The robots canceled all “organized human activities”, including work! WOOHOO! Hashtag Team Robot!
Smashius Clay: Come, Homer Simpson! You are our slave now, and we’ll be putting you to work in pointless menial labor for our amusement!
Homer: Aw! What’d I do to deserve this?
Smashius Clay: Our friend the bear robot says you were “very handsy”.
Homer: But…he’s so furry! I couldn’t keep them to myself..

This triggers the Act 3  questline, Who’s the Bot, and is followed by a 4hr task for Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa, as well as a task to collect Act 3 Currency (115).  Who’s the Bot is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 3…

Here’s the Act 3 Synopsis from EA:

Smashius Clay and his robot army enslave the non-robots of Springfield, forcing them to labor at
pointless, repetitive tasks…which isn’t all that different from their normal lives, but they still don’t like it. Meanwhile, Lisa and Bart escape and soon learn that Springfield has secretly been the home of the Pos-i-bots, virtuous robots disguised as everyday items for many years. Their leader, Bestimus Mucho, enlists Bart and Lisa to help go around town and recruit the other pos-i-bots, after which Bestimus Mucho leads them into battle against Smashius Clay’s forces. Unfortunately for Bart and Lisa, Smashius is able to convince Bestimus that humans really are terrible and the two robot leaders should join forces and conquer the world!

As I stated above, you’ll go right into the Who’s the Bot questline, which is what the Act 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 3 prizes.

The currency we’re working on collecting for Act 3…

DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.

I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this.  So don’t forget to SCROLL!

Here are the prizes for Part 3:

Flanders Car Pos-i-bot (Decoration) 115
Simpson Car Pos-i-bot (Decoration) 115
Springfield Robotics Laboratory (Building) 115
Giant Buzz Cola Can (Decoration) 155

Questline, which I’ll post later, will show how each is unlocked.

5 /4hrs for Freemium
8 /4hrs for New Premium

Acts 1 and 2 Prizes

These are STILL unlockable if you haven’t completed that prize track.  You have until the event ends to unlock ALL the prizes.  So keep going with the earlier Acts if you haven’t yet finished it. You have until May 12th to finish those…

  1. Terrible Analogies

Seems like every day, TSTO has to download another 1000+MB of new stuff. Usually I also have to log in again. Anyone else?

  2. I will be skipping the premium content on this act. I myself like 👍🏻 the giant buzz cola can. Don’t know where I will place it yet but I will think of something.

  3. Spinning donut problem again with Amazon fire, does anybody know how to fix my problem :(?

  4. were is the hot dog bot

  5. Michael S Reardon

Is Cyborg Willie a skin or Full character?

  6. The items in this act look pretty cool. I hope the Flanders and Simpson Car Pos-i-bots have the option of being the full bots and turning into Flanders and Homer’s Cars. The Springfield Robotics Laboratory looks cool. The Giant Cola Can looks like an okay stand alone decoration. Depending on his tasks, Bestimus Mucho will probably be the best prize in Act 3. Just like the Mr. Sparkle Factory and Love Bot, the Thai Food Factory and Brenda will probably be a random character/building combo with one being better than the other. Killy the Killer Tractor and Cyborg Willie also look like a cool combo since 150 donuts isn’t bad for a Gil Deal.

    • You’ll be pleased with act 3…

    • Bobothy Gerfy Jr.

If it does turn into Flanders car I’ll be leaving it as a car rather than the frozen Flanders car from a couple years back

      • @Alissa: Yeah, I’m very pleased with act 3. I actually prefer the prizes to the premiums in this event and I think the prizes are a bit better than the premiums in act 3. The Flanders and Simpson Cars Pos-i-bots are great decorations that can be toggled between car and pos-i-bot. The lab is a nice building with a pretty cool animation. I missed out on the 7200 Ounce Squishee when it was released so the Giant Buzz Cola Cans are a neat addition to the beverage decorations. Not much is needed to be said about Bestimus Mucho except that he looks awesome.

@Bobothy Gerfy Jr.: It does have the option to turn into Flanders Car and the Pos-i-bot form which is great for anyone that prefers the cars to the pos-i-bot version. The same thing can be done with the Simpson Car Pos-i-bot.

  7. For the first two prizes you get an animated decoration for 115 Circuit Boards which is fine. However 155 Circuit Boards for a Giant Buzz Cola Can that does nothing seems a little cheesy …

      You nailed it! 👍🏻

THIS! 👉🏻 155 Circuit Boards (Event Currency) for a Giant Buzz Cola Can (that will go right into Storage) is 1 of many reasons I say ‘Nope’ to Act 3!

I don’t think the Gil Deal might be it (Cyborg Willie and Killy the Killer Tractor), I’m sure the rest will end up in a future Mystery Box (and avoided by me!)

💜 Act 1 and Act 2, but EA just failed this Multi-Act Event with Act 3 (for me).

      • Act 3 is actually the best act of this entire event. Cola Can excluded.

        • I would’ve embraced the Pos-I-Bots , but EA left out the ONLY 🤖 that was funny from that Treehouse of Horror Segment (Sex Toy – lol!)

2 Decor 🤖’s that don’t Battle each other (because they’re Decor) is just L-EA-Z-Y … I would have spent 🍩’s for both as Characters.

C’mon, another Factory? another Tech Building?
both take up a lot of Real Estate (I’m not making room for what looks repetitive).

I’m debating over Cyborg Willie and Killy the Tractor .🤔

          • Within the context of this event, it’s the best act. Outside of this event is another story.

            • Act 1 should have set up the Pos-I-Bots beginning with New Character 🤖’s (featuring Visual Character Tasks that are battles on par with the Superhero Event).

Act 2 should have sets up the 🤖 ‘s takeover of Springfield.

Act 3 should have been the Springfielders Rebellion against the 🤖 ‘s.

Act 4 just gives you your Happy Ending (at least that’s how I describe the end of any Event where The Simpsons Family saves the day).

I 💜 the Robot Rumble (that was a Fun Episode), I 💜 what the Writers did in Act 1 and Act 2 – but if that Episode didn’t offer enough Content for a Multi-Act Event? Then this should have been a Mini Event. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The ‘Untitled Robot Parody’ was the weakest Segment of Treehouse of Horror XIX (well for me it was), so dropping that into this Multi-Act Event in Act 3 just lost my interest. I’m 😊 with the Content I have, I don’t need another Factory Building, or another Tech Building (I definitely don’t need a Giant Buzz Cola Can – lol!) I’m still debating over the Gil Deal (because that looks funny!) 🤔

              • I’m with you on the fact that there should have been battles like superhero, but I think the storyline (setup etc) has been on point. You needed to setup the robot rumble situation in Act 1, which is where chief knockahomer comes in. It wouldn’t make sense to start out with pos-i-bots immediately. There’s no story setup.

              • This is EA taking Content from two separate Episodes in order to make a Multi-Act Event (because if it was for one Episode? it would only be a Mini Event – so yes this is two Mini Events sandwiched together). Correction, it’s Content from at least 5 Episodes (2 that were very funny and I 💜 the Content from those 2 out of 5 Episodes).😆

I would have spent so many 🍩’s just to have an Event on par with the Superheroes (which featured some of the best Visual Character Tasks) featuring New 🤖 Characters (I 💜 my Chief Knocka-Homer, Frink Jr, Female Lovebot, Robot Rumble Announcers – I 😊 with these).

I probably will pick up the Gil Deal (Tappers on the Facebook Page are already complaining that “it’s just another Willie Character and he already has a Tractor” – that’s valid – but these look funny / he looks like he has funny Visual Character Tasks). 😆

I don’t want another Factory, I don’t think there will be a Tech Building on par with Globex (comes with free 🎈 – lol – I still think it’s cool that you could purchase Expansion for that Building). I got enough 🤖 Decor that’s gone into Storage, I don’t want anymore (and – yes – a Testosterone Network Billboard sponsoring the 🤖 Rumble would have been funny).

      • Act 3 is definitely the best so far with the first 2 prizes car bots, great animation, and got Willie and bot tractor as well 😁 all smiles here

        • Keith

I think I’m going to get the Cyborg Willie and Killy the Tractor (those look very funny). 😆

I’m just not interested in more 🤖 Decor (EA could have offered up an Event on par with the Superheroes – with 🤖’s Rumbling and Humans having to learn from their mistakes). I don’t need another Factory Building.

Please watch Treehouse of Horror XIX ‘untitled robot parody’ , EA left out the only funny part (the Pos-I-Bot called ‘Sex Toy’). It is the weakest segment, but how do you top the 🎃 King screaming ‘revenge’? 🤔

💜 my Frink Jr Chief Knocka-Homer Female Lovebot Robot Rumble Announcers (that’s enough New Content for me) 😊

  8. Yeah 🙄
Pos-i-Bots are from “Treehouse of Horror XIX” (Episode 4, Season 20) in the least amusing segment ‘Untitled Robot Parody’ (in my opinion) …. I just lost interest (EA, these Prizes are a nope!)

I’ll sum up a better opinion later (I’m debating over the Premium Content, it’s just another Factory Building EA?) 🤷🏼‍♂️

  9. Thanks so much for the information.
Do we know size/ footprint of the Lab and the Thai Food Factory?

Much easier to arrange now rather than later.
    Proactive vs Reactive

    Thanks

    • Thai Food Factory is 13×7
      Springfield Robotics Lav 13×6

      • Thanks for that info MIchaelk202 👍🏻

That’s too much Real Estate for Buildings not relevant to 🤖’s –

Thai Food Factory (“Please Homer, Don’t Hammer ‘Em” – Season 18, Episode 3 where Bart Simpson and Principal Skinner fall into a Vat of Peanut Sauce)

        Springfield Robotics Laboratory
(blink and you’ll miss it scene in “Lisa the Skeptic” – Season 9, Episode 8)

        Again, another Factory EA? 🙄

    • Factory is 7×13
      Lab is 6×13

Act 3 is always a rough one because it hits on Sunday, so we end up being a little behind on posts…
