Springfield Enlightened Act 2 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Are you ready to reach true enlightenment?  Feel an inner peace you may have been missing in your life?  Inner peace might be nice after the Robots tried to destroy Springfield… Get ready as Siddmartha comes to Springfield to bring us all a little calmness in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Springfield Enlightened!  As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on July 14th.  However, Act 3 will start on June 27th (Note the Sunday start date).

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Siddmartha and Ned…

Siddmartha: Excuse me, I’m looking for a quiet place to meditate and focus on my Zen. Would you happen to know of anywhere?
Ned: Whenever I’ve got a yen for some Zen, I find the First Church of Springfield serves up a heapin’ helpin’ of solitude.
Siddmartha: I don’t mean to offend, but I find churches distracting…
Ned: Well, since you seem to be some kind of devil-worshiping pagan, perhaps you’d prefer a nice séance circle? Maybe a cauldron to make your Buddha brew?
Siddmartha: First off, if I did make Buddha brew, which I do not, then I would call it “Brewda”. Secondly, you seem to be confusing Buddhism with witchcraft. Not that there is anything wrong with being a Wiccan.
Ned: *gasp* That’s Wiccan talk! Spare my children and be gone Wiccan!

This triggers the Act 2  questline, Om is Where the Heart Is and is followed by a 4hr task for Siddmartha, Lisa and Ned, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (200).  Om is Where the Heart Is is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 2…

Here’s the Act 2 Synopsis from EA:

Taking Advisor Frink’s advice, Siddmartha seeks a place to meditate and focus on her Zen. She learns that Springfield has a Bodhi tree and settles in to seek enlightenment. She is there so long that Gil senses an opportunity to make a quick buck. He sets up a Crazy Princess Viewing Area where Springfielders can gawk at her for a reasonable fee. After some time, a bear emerges from the woods, and rather than attack Siddmartha he feels the power of her  enlightenment and begins to meditate. Seeing that enlightenment allows Siddmartha to control beasts, nearly everyone in Springfield begins to practice Buddhism. With everyone in town overtaken with the quest for Zen, consumerism takes a huge hit. Mayor Quimby, Apu, and Reverend Lovejoy are not happy with the town’s sudden turn toward inner peace and enlightenment. They band together to take Siddmartha and her philosophy down. And what
better way to do that than with a family scandal?

As I stated above, you’ll go right into the Om is Where the Heart Is questline, which is what the Act 2 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 2 prizes.

The currency we’re working on collecting for Act 2…

DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.

I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this.  So don’t forget to SCROLL!

  1. I’ve got everything I need but I can’t send Homer on the “Make Homer Meditate” task. It appears in his task list but it’s not highlighted in yellow and sending him to do the task doesn’t complete it in the list of achievements for earning Siddmartha’s Ponies in Oh Brother, Why Art Thou? Pt 4. Does anyone know why this would be happening? I’ve completed the lotus flower and rocks parts of the story, so I can’t see any reason why I can’t get him to do the meditation task so I can get to the end of Part 4 and earn the last building. It’s very frustrating!!

  2. I can’t seem to find the pet bear anywhere. An I missing something?

    • It’s an NPC, so he’s likely roaming around your Springfield somewhere. There’s really no good way to find him, other than just catching him as he walks by (or searching your town for him)

    • Yes I have. I’ve sent him to meditate a few times now and he sits there in front of the Buddha statue and falls over, etc. But it isn’t counting as the specific task for the storyline and I can’t progress through the rest of Part 4. It must be a fault, but they aren’t going to help me soon enough for me to finish the storyline quests and unlock everything before the 14th.

  3. 1st – thank you for the detailed rundown on Act 2 , Alissa (I’m delayed in getting it started since I spent most of my day 💔 with my fellow Members of the Groundlings improv with an R.I.P. John ‘Jambi on Pee Wee’s Playhouse’ Paragon)

2nd – I spent the sprinkles for King Gautama & Gautama Palace & [Gil Deal] The Master & The Taj Mahal , I 💜 ’em (both New Characters are Voiced!) however ..

3rd – as detailed as these New Premium Buildings are? they take up so much Real Estate and if you are a Long Time Tapper running out of space in your Springfield? please let EA know at the official TSTO Facebook Page by posting screen grabs (you don’t have to be angry, or rude, but you need to let EA know it’s becoming difficult to find room for New Content!) If all you do is ‘waah’ on TSTO Addicts, it’s not compared to posting away at the Facebook Page!

  4. What a jib. I have no rocky formations and can’t get to them yet :/.

  5. What a jib… I just started playing and can’t even start act 2 because I’m nowhere near close to getting a rocky formation. I’m a freemium player :/

  6. It says my job location is currently unavailable for the stacking rocks? Where or what do I need to collect these?

    • I answered on your other comment…

    • To answer the where:
      • Most of the mountainous landmarks are available in the Yearbook.
      • Mount Fuji Is available during the event for 80 doughnuts.
      • I’m not sure if the pillars and piles are currently available anymore.
      • Homerlayas is more of a “when” as that starts as a level 60* task
        * (in terms of game progression.)

Of the decorations listed, Mt Carlmore and Springfield Gorge appear to be the best ones to try and get as all event characters can use them to collect rocks.

  7. Game is telling me that I can’t send people to get the rocks. Do I need a decoration to do the mission?

    • According to the files you need a rock formation/mountain in Springfield for the main characters to do the task, here’s the list:

      Homerlayas
      SpringfieldGorge
      MountCarlmore
      MountFuji
      SugarloafMountain

And for the premium characters with this event you’d need:
      Rock Piles
      Rock Pillars
      Great Plains
      WolfRock
      SpringfieldGorge
      MountCarlmore

  8. Just got king guatma, and is amazing, and I just realized that I can get another premium in the event. Just to everyone would you recommend buying advisor frink and tower of science or (SPOILER)
Prince guatma and ancheint multiplayer game?

  9. WARNING! WARNING!
Gautama Palace is HUGE, really large
For that matter, so is the Taj Majal

    BTW,
    Thanks for everything Alissa

    • Great Premium items, the 2nd Act Freeium stuff is junk!

    • Space becomes more of an issue especially if you want to add the water and trees and walkway leading up to the palace xD

    • Tracy

I know …… the New Premium Characters are great but the New Premium Buildings take up so much Real Estate (I am encouraging everyone to let EA know on the official TSTO Facebook Page by posting screen grabs – meanwhile I have lost count of how many Tappers post there regarding the verification code snafu).

Fun Act 2, but EA has got to understand the need for a Land Expansion!
