Springfield Enlightened Act 3 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Are you ready to reach true enlightenment?  Feel an inner peace you may have been missing in your life?  Inner peace might be nice after the Robots tried to destroy Springfield… Get ready as Siddmartha comes to Springfield to bring us all a little calmness in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Springfield Enlightened!  As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on July 14th.  However, Act 4 will start on July 6th (note the Tuesday start date).

Things kick off for Act 3 with some dialogue between Prince Gautama, Siddmartha, Apu, Quimby, and Lovejoy…

Prince Gautama: Why did I get a free ride to a school I didn’t even know existed?
Apu: Reverend Lovejoy, Mayor Quimby, and I have banded together to wreck your sister’s plans here in Springfield. We were hoping you would join us. …now that I say it like that, does it sound to anyone else like we’re the bad guys?
Quimby: Relax. Once the Squishee money starts rolling in again, you won’t care how many children you’ve destroyed. Take it from one who knows.
Apu: Oh, I might have made a mistake.
Prince Gautama: You had me at “bad guys”. What’s the plan?
Quimby: Siddmartha is encouraging the people of Springfield to educate themselves, and we can’t have that.
Lovejoy: Yes, so if you can just absolutely ruin Kathmandu U.
Prince Gautama: I’ll do my best.
Apu: Actually, if you could do your worst. Oh, I sound like a bad guy again.
Siddmartha: So…we meet again, brother.
Prince Gautama: Indeed. I look forward to destroying everything you’ve built in this town.
Siddmartha: You’ll find it’s far more difficult than kicking over building blocks like the last time you pitted your will against mine. Even with those blocks being solid gold and really, really heavy.
Prince Gautama: Then I’ll just have to use something a little larger than my foot.
Siddmartha: Good luck. Once on the path of enlightenment, most never stray.
Prince Gautama: I don’t need luck. I’ve got the elephant of surprise.
Siddmartha: I believe you meant “element”. Plus, there’s no surprise since I’m standing right here. Although that hasn’t worked so far.

This triggers the Act 3  questline, Oh Brother, Why Art Thou?, and is followed by a 4hr task for Siddmartha and Apu, as well as a task to collect Act 3 Currency (100).  Oh Brother, Why Art Thou? is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 3…

Here’s the Act 3 Synopsis from EA:

Siddmartha’s brother Prince Gautama is brought to Springfield by the coalition of Apu, Quimby, and Lovejoy. He is encouraged to undo all his sister’s teachings, starting with Kathmandu U, her pet project. Happy to be working against his annoying sister, Prince Gautama immediately gets to work turning Kathmandu U into a top tier party school. That, however, is not enough to sate his desire to ruin his sister for always stealing the attention. He realizes that Springfielders have a weakness for donuts and gets Siddmartha to proclaim that donuts are too self-indulgent to be part of the Buddhist philosophy. When the town balks, Prince Gautama is ready and waiting with his own competing philosophy, Buddhism With Donuts. All of the Zen and none of the no-donuts. Homer quickly becomes the patron saint of Buddhism With Donuts, despite Buddhism not having saints. Siddmartha is distraught and once again turns to Advisor Frink for advice. His counsel is to tattle on Prince Gautama to their mother.

As I stated above, you’ll go right into the Oh Brother, Why Art Thou? questline, which is what the Act 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 3 prizes.

The currency we’re working on collecting for Act 3…

DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.

I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this.  So don’t forget to SCROLL!

  1. Act 3 never showed up for me yet. Game has been buggy the past week. Had three daily tasks show up at once. Checked the App Store for updates and nothing. Logged out and still nothing. Any ideas fellow tappers ??

    • Have you got the Springfield Enlightened event at all in your game? If you haven’t, then you should have the new loading screen and app icon for the event as well as having completed the quest “Sunday Manifesto” in order to start the event. As long as you have the event available in your game then there shouldn’t really be any issues with Act 3 starting since it appears automatically in the game.

      • Act 1 and Act 2 worked just fine. Daily tasks didnt show up again today. I uninstalled and re-instaled game but still didnt help.

        • Did you manage to get Act 3 in your game yet? Do you have the Koi Fish icon in your task book? As long as you’re completing the daily tasks and collecting the rewards then you should be getting new daily tasks every day.

          • Craig W Miller

Act 3 still hasnt shown up. Currently nothing in my task bar. Daily tasks haven’t returned either.

  2. Happy Sunday / Hey it’s Act 3 😉👍🏻

So, yes, if you actually have a new Mystery Box for this Multi-Act Event? then that’s where you will find the option to use the Tokens, or cash them in for 12 🍩’s (all of which is in the Store!) OR – like Me, who didn’t get a new Mystery Box ’cause I have all that Content – you will see that option to cash in a Token for 12 🍩’s immediately (and that’s still in the Store!) Thank you fellow Tappers for helping navigate to where it’s at (in the Store!) … it’s nice that EA gives us choices, maybe if we collectively comment on EA’s Forum Facebook Twitter requesting a ‘Land Expansion’ perhaps they will do so.

I may take weekends off from Tapping, but I’m still grateful for Alissa’s Act 3 update post. ✨

  3. I got the Golden Goose Realty from the mystery box. I now have 137 land tiles.. have you guys tried checking your mystery box?

    • People…such as myself, that have been requesting more land is because we have used all land available for purchase. My golden goose ran out its bounty a year or two ago?….

  4. I was wondering. Does anyone know if EA plans on selling Skins related to this quest ? It would be really cool to have the residents of Springfield running around in colorful outfits. they should have been available starting with act one. Disappointing that they didn’t think of this. Oh well what do I know. Lol
Thanks and have a great Sunday..

    • Crazymom

1st – congrats on obtaining the Golden Goose Realtors (attention Tappers that still don’t have this Building, now you know where to get it!) 👍🏻

2nd – this would have been an amusing Event if EA had taken those extra steps to mimic the Stonecutters (where we got a Premium Character Skin for those in Springfield that are Members). I want a Stonecutters type of Event involving our Secret Society of Bartenders …. ✨

  5. I really like the look of the items in this act. The prizes in this act look better than the Act 2 prizes. I’m looking forward to getting all the prizes especially Springfield Ele-Zen-Tary. The Ancient Multiplayer Game and Prince Gautama seem like fun items as well.

  6. Paul William King

Is it just me, or are the premium buildings a bit large?

    • I love the buildings and agree they tend to be of the larger type this event. If we could get MORE LAND…it definitely would not be an issue. I don’t like storing things, especially currency generating buildings, but I’m running out of areas to condense and create space. EA!!!! More Land…soon….please?

    • Paul

The Premium Buildings are large (larger than they should have been, and so is Katmandu U!) I hope you found space for everything. ✨

  7. I am trying to find out how to cash in my tokens for donuts, CJ responded , but not too much info, I looked in “The Store” but to no avail, I couldn’t find it anywhere! CJ just stated got to “The Store” that was a bust! Please advise with SPECIFICS Please Advise!!!!

    • go to the store.. tap on the donut/cash icon. swipe left and you will see a box of a dozen donuts with a token under it. that is where you exchange your tokens for donuts. If you have several tokens you then repeat the exchange.

BUT if you have a mystery box.. you will not see token for donuts.. you use your tokens for prizes that you don’t have that are available.

      Hope that helps.

    • Click hammer/saw icon, click right arrow icon, click donut/cash icon. slide til see “exchange tokens”

    • If you still have items in the Banned by the Buddha Mystery Box then you have 2 ways in which you can get the option to exchange the tokens for donuts: 1). Get all the items in the Banned by the Buddha Mystery Box (a large portion of the items in there are also in the Yearbook Mystery Box).
2). Wait until the current event ends on July 14th for the Banned by the Buddha Mystery Box to leave the store and the option to exchange the tokens for donuts should be in the Currency section of the store.

      • If only, those tokens could be kept for a subsequent Event Mystery Box!

… I’ve never tried to see if it would work, though.
