It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The two-step authentication cost me my Springfield about 4 weeks ago. I don’t have it in me to start over. And passing EA’s account restoration test so that I can just change my email address has been impossible. I’m just so bummed that I lost so many years of TSTO gaming.
I’m feeling the same way about the idea of re-starting. Hard to go from level 939 back to 1….
I was able to get EA to update my email address, but I get no further. Can’t sign into Origin because two step authentication is not working there either for my account. Help desk chats are rather useless – “they’re working on it” Guess I should have spent a few more real world $$$s on the game….maybe then EA would commit more resources to fixing this issue.
Due to the code issue and me not having a mail for my account I have to restart the game… I guess it can be great to begin a new town
Finally got hit with the two-factor authentication login thing, but, thankfully, it went pretty smoothly for me (knock wood, kineahora).
It was my second weekend in a row (and second time since the start of the pandemic) that I actually got to socialize with friends in person. It was fun, but exhausting (and all we did was have lunch together at their house and sit around and chatted afterwards)!
Okay…time to go give an orientation session to a bunch of new hires…. 😝
Anybody else having issues with squeaky voice teen getting stuck doing the lard lad quest with the current event? Any resolutions?
Store that building that they are in and bring it back out .

I found the ending to the Dalai Lama quest very strange. It was like it stopped too early. Anyone else think it was a weird side quest?

I lost my Springfield town of 13 years due to the code. As Alissa would say, my own fault for not keeping up with the email address. I lost my friends, most I had for years. That made me sad. Lucky for me I had a B game on another email. I had stopped playing that one years ago, but I am still determined to play on. I am so far behind compared to the game I lost but I am trying to enjoy building up my old town. I went from level 939 to 120. Sigh. Just venting. Keeping on playing.

I wish ea would get rid of the stupid code thing. I have a lot of family members that play and most of them can no longer play. Too many server issues too.

Event Completely Done by Thursday!
This should’ve been – 3 Acts, 6 Days per Act, 18 Days Total (Multi-Act Events are just too loooong with 4 Acts stretched over 32 Days!)
Some of the Premium Content should’ve been Event Prizes, the kind you really Grind for (Grind because it’s worth doing so!) and this would cut down on padding Event Prizes with Dumb Content!
Grade B
It’s not a Grade B+ (or a Grade A) due to some Dumb Event Prizes, as well as New Content that’s just too Big (and not animated enough when in use! recycled audio cues for New Content is L-EA-Z-Y!), along with New Content that should be available for Simpsons 💵 (instead of just 🍩’s) – but it’s also one of the better Events this year! I completed the whole Event (vs Tapping Out 2/3 or 1/2 way thru!) feeling happy (these Questlines and the Premium Content for them were all great!) 🤔 😃
Ok, back to marveling at Sir Richard Branson (go Team Virgin!) 👩🚀🚀👨🚀
Agree with the sooooolong event but did Branson achieve anything today, did he reach space I thing not, 53 miles, but he didn’t reach the Karman line of 62 miles, I personally would have been impressed if he did a complete orbit then landed but he didn’t.
Providing this amount of time for an event seems long, but some people don’t sprinkle their way through everything or check in every 4 hours…let alone all the problems some have just getting into their game, so I think the timing is fine. As far as Richard Branson accomplishing anything…that’s pretty funny. Even if he didn’t reach some people’s definition of space, or complete an orbit,…the guy has a SPACE PLANE..did he actually accomplish anything??….What a society we live in where that’s even considered a valid question. Wow…

The US government recognizing the boundary of space to be at about 80km (50 miles) and it awards astronaut wings to anyone who exceeds this altitude (Sir Richard Branson reached a height of 85km (282,000ft; 53 miles) at Mach 3); but I expect a longer flight – reaching a higher altitude – docking with an observational Space Station to be a future goal (Branson, Elon Musk – who actually was on the ground in New Mexico – Jeff ‘wealthier than Mr Burns’ Bezos who sent a congratulatory note, can probably all combined their efforts to increase what NASA can do once each achieves something individually).
The New Premium Content is fun (I still enjoy sending the Dalai Lama to do his sun bathing) 😂 Work / Family will always be a priority over a Game App, it’s just 4 Acts at 9 Days each is 36 Days too long (just 3 Acts, make it 6 to 7 Days per Act, 4 Solid Prizes per Act). Land – we need that Expansion – and Patric is right as we need a standard size on Buildings. 😃👍🏻
Yes I read all that on Google, all for 2 minutes of weightlessness and could not do the extra miles into space sorry it doesn’t impress me, it’s a bit like turning round and going home just before you get to Disney land. 👾🚀😎
Personally, I like the pace. Actually have time to live my real life. Been enjoying TSTO much more lately….doesn’t seem as a chore anymore.

Work / Family definitely come first before a Game App, too (as long as I can Login to TSTO without getting the Bart Simpson Screen of Death? I can expedite with 🍩’s if I need to speed up the grinding for Event Currency).
The Multi-Act Event Format needs to change (4 Acts lasting over a Month is too long, it just seems logical to drop an Act and make it 18 to 21 Days with a solid Week – or more – to prep for another Event). Because New Content eventually ends up in a Mystery Box later, I don’t worry about not obtaining right away (9.5 years later I need more Land). I definitely don’t want to make it too difficult to Tap thru, just a reason to grind for achieving (Prizes need to be worth your efforts in obtaining).
Sending Dali Lama and the Master on Visual Character Tasks is hilarious 😂 (that alone makes this Event a winner!) 😃👍🏻
Is anyone else having massive Login problems. For a day and a half all I get is the “Cannot connect to the Server” I uninstalled TO and reinstalled with no improvement. Any suggestions?

I don’t want to jinx it but I can say there are times when EA’s Network goes down and the only time you will know is if you visit their Twitter Account @EAHelp !
EA should really just set aside a Time for Network maintenance by sending off a message in game warning Tappers ‘we are shutting down for a few hours for maintenance reasons blah blah blah and we will be back up in 4 hours’
So my suggestion is, depending on the Country you are in (your Network region), time you are Tapping (Morning Noon Night) that needs to change pending on circumstances (this is definitely a Wi-Fi game vs a throttled 4G connection game) and device used (have lots of free ROM available, using at least 4G RAM , latest available OS vs 3 generations behind, old Kindles seem to lose support).
I hope you find a solution and keep on Tapping! 👍🏻
