Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Yesterday, an app store update hit our games to remove the Springfield Enlightened Event. And, today a brand-new mini-event started up in our towns! (as long as you’ve downloaded the update) I will admit, this caught me completely off guard. I was expecting a week off…and honestly looking forward to one…but EA (as usual) had other plans in store for us!
As a little inside TSTO baseball: I will say, thinking about it, this does totally make sense to start up now. You’ve got this 2-week mini-event, which ends July 28th, then a week off and a 5-week major event likely to start on August 4th. That will likely run until Sept. 8th…and that’ll give you a week off, followed by a two-week mini-event, and another week off followed by Halloween starting around October 6th. Of course, this is just my suspicion…and it lines up well for this…but we’ll see what EA actually does.
Anyway…running through the game files now, I’ll be back in a bit with more info on this post once I have it. For now know that you’ll need Homer and Moe free to run 6s tasks, which will trigger the prize track and new items in your store. At that point you’ll need the Barflies free to do the mini-event currency earning tasks.

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT….
Before we get into anything else…THE GOLDEN GOOSE REALTY IS BACK! If you have it in your store BUY IT! Spend the 150 donuts on the GGR vs the Premium character combo with this event. BUY IT! DO IT RIGHT NOW! I don’t care what else you’re doing. If you don’t own the Golden Goose Realty, drop everything you’re doing (if you’re at work go to the bathroom) and go into your TSTO AND BUY THE DAMN BUILDING! This building is how you get land tokens! SO BUY IT!

Here’s the quick rundown of Tavern Trouble details:
First thing first…this event, and everything with it leaves games in two weeks…July 28th. It’s your standard mini-event, leaving just in time for August (which is when we’ll likely see the next major event…see above)
So you’ll have to finish the prize track questline and purchase any premium items BEFORE July 28th. Don’t let the timer run out on you!
Onto the mini-event itself…
So the same basic concept for mini-events, in general, applies to this one. Follow a questline, do the tasks, and unlock the prizes associated with it.
The premise of the event starts when you log into Springfield, with Men of Brew Words…
Harv Bannister: Ah, Moe’s Tavern…the best drink of all time was invented right here!
Moe: The sign says “NO UNPROMPTED DECLARATIONS WHEN ENTERING” — so get lost, weirdo!
Homer: *entering Moe’s Tavern* I’m never going to Alaska again! Baseball’s a second-tier sport! Funnel cake should be sold everywhere, not just amusement parks!
Moe: Hi there, Homer! I’ll get you your usual.
Harv Bannister: Homer Simpson and Moe Szyslak — just the two people I came all this way to see!
Homer: Moe, who is this jerk?
Harv Bannister: Harv Bannister. Tipsy McStagger’s Good Time Drinking and Eating Emporium.
Homer: Wait, I know this jerk! You’re that news anchor who fell face-first into that alligator! I thought you died!
Harv Bannister: That wasn’t me. And yes, he did die.
Moe: Hmm, you do look vaguely familiar though… You a loan shark from Kansas City? Because I’ve never been there before. Never.
Harv Bannister: I’m the guy who tried to buy the secret recipe to the Flaming Moe off of you.
Homer: The drink that I invented, then Moe stole and renamed after himself?!
Moe: I didn’t steal nothing! I created the Flaming Moe!
Homer: It’s called the Flaming Homer and Homer invented it — and Homer is me!
Harv Bannister: Look, I’m on the hunt to introduce the next Flaming Moe…
Homer: Flaming Homer!
Harv Bannister: …and I thought I could put your genius inventing heads together to create the next drinking sensation!
Moe: What’s in it for us?
Harv Bannister: A substantial cash prize of course!
Homer: Woo-hoo! A vague amount of money!
Moe: I could pay that Kansas City loan shark back!

This dialogue is followed by a 6s task for Homer and Moe and after that you’ll roll right into the main questline….

Golden Goose Realty is a game changer. You will be SO SAD when you run out of land to buy! Also found it odd that King Snorky shows up as a job character but has no jobs. Wondered if it came later in the event.

I don’t think there will be a WDTCF post on Golden Goose Realty but there might be WDTCF posts on the items in this event and the last event (Springfield Enlightened) next week or after the current event finished. It was also mentioned in the last Addicts Live episode that WDTCF posts would be delayed. If you’re interested, Golden Goose Realty appears in the episode “The Great Phatsby” as a sign but the building itself doesn’t make an appearance in the episode.
I’m glad I got pick to pick up both Knockers and Hell Moe’s combos! I was low in donuts when these were originally offered.
I was hopeful with the Coconut Babaloo that I would be able to get the Mona and Grampa combined actions but no go. Am I the only stuck with no 12-hour event for Mona, and no joint Abe activities?

I’m curious where your characters are hanging out in this event. Mine are all at the Beer -N- Brawl. I moved my Moe’s next door to try and break them up into two different groups. Any other places they are going to?
Mine are all at Tipsy McStaggers (the new premium).
My characters go to Moe’s and when I have a skin on Moe’s they go to Hell Moe’s instead.

After all these years playing I forgot I did not have the Springfield Mall so that was a nice pick up for me. So far I’m into this event. This question isn’t about this event. When I place dirt roads…they have no defined border. I’m trying to figure out how Kristofferson(?) created those dirt roads with a dark brown border as shown in his Springfield show off designs…I’ve been playing for years and have never seen these roads..What am I missing? Thanks for any input…
There’s two similar tiles, Dirt that’s rounded and ragged like River tiles and Dirt Road that has a Kerb and Roadway like normal Road tiles.
When you’re in Build/Move mode scroll down the list and look for the Kerb
Thanks for the response Graham-S….I still can not locate this bordered dirt road…in build mode..top of the list is monorail, then normal road, pavement, water, Brown boardwalk tiles, fancy boardwalk tiles, dirt, cobblestone road, ice tiles, and lastly..krustyland roads…No bordered dirt roads anywhere.
The road with borders has to be purchased with donuts, but i’m sure it’s in some category. It’s not free, but once you purchase it, you can then use that road freely and without limits and it’s then added to the list of roads.
Thanks for the help…Alissa pointed out to me that these roads became available in a 2016 event. I may have been just starting out then, or I started playing shortly after and missed it.
I just checked my 18 month old second town and that doesn’t have them. A quick search and it seems they haven’t yet been made available for anyone who missed the Wild West event in 2016.
Never used ’em since so I hadn’t thought to check my newer town, just assumed they’d be there – sorry 🙁

I have the Chinese Restaurant and Crouching Panda, Hidden Eggroll in the store on my anonymous game so you might have the Chinese Restaurant already.

Didn’t they end up extending the prior event by a week for some reason? If I’m remembering that correctly, then that would explain why this mini event started up right after the last event ended.
But how do you really feel about whether people should buy the Golden Goose Realty, Alissa? 😉😜😅 seriously though, anyone who is able to buy this and doesn’t shouldn’t be allowed to complain later when they don’t have enough room in their town for new stuff!
Yeah, that event (Foodie Fight) was extended because of the login/verification code issues but that extra week was also the week off before the next event (Springfield Enlightened) started so it didn’t really make any difference to EA’s schedule. I wouldn’t be surprised that after this event has ended someone will complain about something.

Do I need to buy the golden goose building if I have started a new game and I can’t farm the donuts? I know the building is great but 150 donuts is a lot at the beginning of the game. I need your help
Is this a second game for you? Or will this be your main game? If it’s your main game, and you think you’re going to need a ton of land…it’s an investment I would make now. You never know when it’ll come back (it’s been well over a year since its last appearance), and you may be kicking yourself 6 months from now when you’re out of land and it’s no where to be found.
If it’s a second game, and you don’t see yourself having a very expansive Springfield you probably can hold off.

Even though I didn’t have much money I didn’t pause for a second before going buying the sprinkles to make sure I’d got it.

Ok quick question, does anybody have a glitch where it’s like king snorky is a playable character? I click on him but there’s no task options but his avatar is still in the top corner??

King Snorky and K9 Officer Dog are both doing this (play through the Mini Event and see what happens). Everyone’s favorite Abominable Snowman started as an NPC and then eventually became a Character with Tasks.

NPC’s are okay for the game in general, but there are just some NPC’s that, in my opinion, EA should have turned into playable characters with tasks. Of what I can remember, without referring to my list of characters that are part of the game, these are some of the NPC’s who should become playable characters with tasks: Evil Homer (one of the characters that I don’t have yet); Mecha Hawk; Mayan “god” (I think that the other 2 Mayan “gods” should also be added to the game); the Pharaoh Guard (NPC that was a tappable in the Time Traveling Toaster Event); all of the monster minion NPC’s from the Halloween 2018 Event, especially the Mummy Minion (I think that the other monster minion tappables from that event should be added to the game, especially the large/fat mummy, and the child/small mummy).
I also think that EA should add the Robo Funzo (tappable from the Winter 2017 Event) to game as an NPC.

The glitch will sometimes show a picture of a character looking away from you instead of the normal profile. Looks like an origin for a Tapped Out creepy pasta!

It’s just a Mini Event, so hopefully when that small dedicated EA Staff decides to drop another Multi-Act Event? it won’t get in the way of you’re much needed Disney Vacation (yay!) 🎉
This Mini Event is super duper easy (if you have all – or most – of the Barflies), the Content is nice (Tappers can create a new Bars and Taverns Area, or expand on an existing one!) and you know I spent the sprinkles on for that New Premium Combo Harv Bannister w/Tipsy McStagger’s (but I’m not spending any real 💵 for Content until we get a Land Expansion!)
I agree 100 percent….we need more available land. My town is getting too crowded…please please more land.
I like the predictions all the way through Halloween. I think you’re probably spot on. After all this time, you know the game really well.
I wonder if that means no Olympics-themed event?
They already did one last year…likely because events are pre-planned months in advance and then the Olympics were postponed but they ran with it anyway for content.
