It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I wouldn’t mind some feedback on this; how many times do other players receive the ‘Bart screen’? I get it multiple times (5-7) per, say, a one-hour play. Drives me nuts. And I don’t know if it’s a gift for being an annoyance or not, but 70% of the time that the game comes back, I get the ‘donut prize’ box and get some donuts out of it. That’s nice, but I’d rather have uninterrupted play than a few more donuts, which I can get a ton of just by planting 8-10 rat trap trucks.
Anybody else get too many Bart screens in a sitting?
Yes, common occurrence, every time I go to play I need to clear my cache before the game lets me in.
I also get chucked out of the game mid flow of clearing everything and lose lots of xp frequently.
Even when I log in it takes ages to load on my device which is not very old.

There are two things that have been bugged me for a while and I would like to know your take on those.
Those are regarding Premium Event Characters and their interaction during the event.
The first one is, I am definitively not a fan of E&A adding regular event tasks for Premium Event Characters that do not give event currency. Usually those kind of task are replaced for a regular character when the player doesn’t own the Premium one. When I buy an Event Character the main thing I would like to do is getting event currency at premium rate and I think current approach drawbacks that propuse.
The second one is, I think Premium Event Characters from Acts 2 and onwards should be able to earn event currency from previous acts. I have face the situation that due to my work I am not able to start the event on time and I think Premium Event Characters could be a great way of catching up. I mean, those characters are not cheap by any means, and this could be a way of getting more value of them (specially from Act 4 character).
What do you guys think?

Howdy fellow Simpson addicts. Hope this is the right place to ask this. My wife and me play TSTO on newer Ipads. About 2-3 months ago now my wife has serious issues getting into the game. It just spins and does nothing else. She has deleted the app a few times but no luck. Crazy enough she went to an old Samsung android did the update and it works. Any ideas how to fix the issues with the IPad?? She can do the updates every time they come out but it just spins. Thanks for any help.
She likely has to remove it from her device and the iOS cloud and then reinstall it
In the spoiler video it was mentioned that the evil godmother castle can be used over mountain sections..like the homerlayas…Will this NEED to be used to replace a mountain section, or will you be able to also place it on any free land? Thanks….
We won’t have an idea until the files hit. All we have right now is a note from EA saying it can be placed on mountain tiles.
Hello all! I’m experiencing a very annoying thing with the app where just about every day I’m required to install a huge update (about 1100 mb) in order to play the game. It also logs me out each time and takes about 15 minute to update. Have anyone experienced this lately? I tried removing and reinstalling the app but it still seems to be happening.
You need to free up space on your device (also try clearing your cache). TSTO needs A LOT of space to run…
When I wrote this post, in 2018, you needed about 5GB free to play…now I’d say more like 10-15GB.

Thanks Alissa! I didn’t even think to check my storage but sure enough, it was pretty full. I just cleared up some space so hopefully that works 🙂
This has happened twice to me, and the last time it did this was after a massive IOS update. And not sure if its a thing with space for me as I have 20gb free.
Heya everyone – I have an issue that I’d love to know if anyone can help me with – I have a daily job of harvesting “perfection” at Cletus farm. The problem is, it never appears after it’s grown (it only takes 45 seconds).
Has anyone else had this problem in the past?
You have to harvest it almost immediately after it grows or else it dies.

Super random question. Has anyone else experienced a glitch in which characters automatically go back to the last assigned task? For example: most characters in my town went to Krusty Burger for a new promotion as part of a daily challenge a few days ago. Once completed, they go right back to that task without any interaction from me. There have been two updates since this first began but those updates haven’t resolved the issue. Thoughts? Thanks.
It’s a common glitch that’s been around for a long time. Store and replace the Krusty Burger, it’ll knock them out and clear the task
