Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any advice..
I currently have 2 quests to do. One is bart skipping school and the other is something Milhouse has to do. All characters are free and I don’t need to get to a certain level or unlock any buildings to do these quests but they are both coming up as blocked? I’ve set them other tasks to do to see if they open up after that but they’re still blocked. Closing the app and reopening hasn’t made a difference either? Any advice will be much appreciated!
Do they require a building or deviation that you may currently have stored in your inventory?
Also, if you can find the specific task wording, you may be able to use this site’s search feature to find an article with the lowdown on what you need to do that task, etc.
I’ve checked my inventory and there’s nothing stored in there, also no changes overnight 🤷♀️ neither of the quests are on the characters list of actions they can perform. I’m stumped.
Mine is doing the same with three of my missions! The characters are available and the buildings necessary are there, but it won’t let me complete the tasks. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app, used a different device, tried storing then replacing the buildings involved in the missions, and completely bought the buildings/characters again. Nothing is fixing it!
So happy for the tappables c9mming back. Feels like its been at least 3 years and really brings back some old new life to the game! I’ve been playing for 7 years in December and very excited for the rest of the year!

Hey there.. was wondering if anyone else has been having log in issues; I was somehow signed out of my game & when I went to log back in after entering my email addy I was told I would receive an email with a verification code which would be valid for 10 minutes
That was 35 minutes ago & I am still waiting.
Has anyone else previously dealt with this issue and, if so, is there any work around?

Oh, never mind. The iPad updated to iPadOS15 and it used up all the memory, triggering the game to reload. Darn.
Massive update just hit, looks to be reloading my entire game. Guessing that this is the big glitch patch for those of us who haven’t been able to play for the past week??

tapping convicts was a welcome additions and overall this event felt very refreshing!
For halloween i’d like to see more spook and maybe something to tap and an interesting storyline! last year’s was painfully boring! Hopefully based more on older episodes as well.

For halloween it would be VERY COOL to see those giant billboards around and you need to tap them ahah
I haven’t been able to log in (in UK) for 3 days since I did the latest up date. Have been playing for years, so gutted. I play on an old iPad Air, which has iOS 12, simpsons tapped out says you need iOS 9+ so not sure what to do. Every time I load the game it goes to loading screen and then crashes! I tried on another iPad and It did exactly the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I too (and many others) have the same problem. Thus far, I have been unable to find an official explanation. Not really sure where we go from here.
Thanks Dan, sorry to hear you have the same problem, but am pleased to know it’s not just me! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if we get another update soon and it resolves itself. Is just a shame we are missing out.

I hear ya! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tapped on Buddah, mistaking him for a yellow thumb, since he came into the game! I also like to put Rita and Grampa on their 12-hour two together and, when looking for Rita coming out with the huge 8-hour dance crowd, I frequently mistake Opal for her, since their clothing is almost the same.

Thank you ALL for EVERYTHING you do to keep us in the. Loop. I was excited to see that we have “tap-a-guys” (convicts) back. Seems like it’s been a while. My first extra taps were the bunnies. My favorites were the G-men/Feds. What are the favorites of others?
I love the ghosts in one of the early Halloween updates. The way they would possess various characters made for a fun twist and some cool animations!

I think EA should provide something (maybe the seance table from one THOH opening) that you could tap to possess characters again. Just like the zombie sandwich dumpster or nightmare pile. Also some decoration like an alien with baby carriage that you could tap to have alien face huggers on your characters like that other event. Plus, they should fix the nightmare pile so you can send all kids trick-or-treating at once instead of one at a time.
I just noticed that I am no longer able to convert my Krustyland tickets into cash. Is this something that happens when you have more than $3 billion in cash? Not a problem, just curious.

I’m looking to buy an inexpensive (under $150ish) Android tablet for my elderly parents that I can set up for them and have them use for things like managing their Google Minis and Vont Smart Bulb (which I’m also going to be giving them), logging into apps on their Roku that require authentication via computer, taking and emailing basic photos (picture quality not that important), and running some basic apps (no intensive gaming, like TSTO, but maybe something like Duolingo or Kindle reader, and maybe watching some videos).
The three most important attributes are
1) decent performance (speed, smoothness) both for stuff on and off WiFi network
2) decent touch screen experience (my mom swears that touch devices don’t respond to her well at all, especially when using an on-screen keyboard, and
3) decent sound volume (they both have a bit of hearing loss, so loudness is helpful, but the sound quality doesn’t have to be anything special.
I guess I’d also add that, while the image quality doesn’t need to be fabulous, it shouldn’t be total crap, either…old eyes should be able to see it clearly.
They don’t need fancy features and will only be using it over WiFi, not cellular. Honestly, I don’t even think they’ll even use it all that often, but I don’t want it to be a frustrating experience when they do (especially for my mom who always HATED using my dad’s old cheap Android tablet, when it still worked).
I see tons of cheap Android tablets out there, some with decent-looking specs (octo core, decent RAM and ROM, etc.), but then I read the Amazon reviews and such and see wildly varying reports. It’s also hard to know which if the reviews to trust, since I know some vendors bribe buyers to post 5-star reviews. So I thought I’d ask y’all for any suggestions you might have!

I am sorry if this has already been answered before, but does anyone know if the prison bus that is available in the breakout bounty part of the store will disappear after the event ends? It says in my store that it costs 300,000 igc, but there are only 9 days left to buy it. I just reached level 59 and I believe the character (Gina Vendetti) is supposed to open up at this level anyways, but I have not received any quests for it. Thanks!

So my wife let me install the game on her work-issued 7th gen iPad with iOS14.8 on it. Game loaded and launches, but when I go to find my Mayhem ID under Settings>Info, it crashes every time! Oh well, at least able to catch up on the mini event after not being able to play since last Tuesday.
When are you going to address the obvious issues with the new update? From the general comments on EA.help, and the lack of any firm answers from EA, my guess is that the last update will not run on older iOS versions. It would be nice for EA to admit it and to add that warning to the download description. This happens to many apps but the companies advise users up front and perhaps allow an older download for those playing who are not in the market for new hardware. Your thoughts?
Who is “you”? This site is not run by EA and no one here has the ability to do what you’re asking. Also, allowing an “older version” of the app makes no sense in an event-based game…at best, users with an older version would only be able to maintain their town, but not play any new events and, thus, not be able to get any new content, etc.
As someone who tends to use devices for a really long time, I feel your pain, but I also realize that developers can’t continue to support old models indefinitely, without hobbling the game for everyone (and even, potentially, making it impossible to distribute through the established app stores).
All I am asking for is valid information about the new update. Your other comments are valid. As to whom I am referring to as you would be anybody with valid info. I would assume that even though this is not an EA site, they probably look at it. I thought this was an ‘open’ forum
We don’t currently have valid information about the issue you’re experiencing. Everything is speculation at best. And without being able to duplicate the problem ourselves, at this point, we can’t speak to the ongoing issues directly.
As I said on your original comment on the issue, we don’t always address every little issue that’s going on in the game here. Especially if it’s one I cannot duplicate or don’t have direct knowledge on a fix or solution to it. My advice is always the same: hard close, clear you’re cache, reboot, uninstall/reinstall, and contact EA if all else fails.
This is a site run by fans of TSTO, while we enjoy helping when and where we can, it’s not our job to be customer service for EA. We try to pass along info that we may have, but as always when you’re having an issue in your game your best bet is to contact EA directly. I know their customer service can be difficult to deal with but that’s still your best bet.
If I get a concrete solution or update on the issue I will post it. But until then everything is speculation as to what’s going on. And for some players the issue has been resolved already. So please stop asking when we’re going to address it.
And while yes it’s true that they (EA) look at this site and the comments, they don’t comment in an official capacity.
How does one find their Mayhem ID if you can’t get the game to launch?
How many playable characters are there in the game? I am up to 490 and curious how many I am missing.
Not including my NPCs (even the ones that can earn by getting on the airplane), I’m up to 517, and I don’t own any of the characters that you have to spend cash to buy (the ones that come with donut packs), except for the ones that have been re-released for purchase with donuts or as a prize. It’s also possible that I may be missing characters that were released years ago, either before I started playing in the summer of 2014 or that were premium characters before I could afford the donuts to buy them all, if they haven’t been re-released since then. (There may also be one or two that I just didn’t want.)
So, I can’t give you a definitive number, but I do know that you are missing at least 27 of them! Something to look forward to in future mystery boxes/events… 🙂

I’m up to 529..or so. I know someone has the exact number…unfortunately, it’s not me.
I have 533 characters and am missing quite a few. I believe the total is somewhere around 550.
Really? I find it hard to imagine that I’m more than 30 characters short…but I suppose it’s possible, maybe….
It’s been awhile since i’ve been able to update the character list…but as of the All American Auction Update in November of 2019, there were 443 characters.

I’m coming up with 549 total right now.
Have not been able to play since the update hit. Deleted and reloaded game twice now and it still crashes every time I hit the “Tap to Continue” button on the splash page. Thought there would be a patch by now. What’s going on, EA?
Which device, model year, and OS? It seems like they may be ceasing to support some older models, based on some of the comments I’ve seen on this site this week.
I think it’s a 1st gen iPad Air, also tried on an old iPad Mini (probably 1st gen, too). Both are running iOS12.5.4 and that seems to be the problem for everyone who’s game won’t load. Funny thing is I installed the game on a 7th gen iPad today, running iOS14.8, and while the game loads and plays fine, I still can’t access my Origin/Mayhem ID; trying to get to the Info screen in Settings causes an immediate crash. Hoping that the EA folks who read this site are seeing the reports of problems and get the patch out soon.
Yeah… I’m thinking that you’re right that the old OS isn’t gonna cut it anymore. Glad you have another, newer device that you can use, but sorry to hear about your ID issue.
