It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

The Simpsons are also back tonight with the Season 33 Premiere! Be sure to check out the new episode (if it’s airing in your area), and then check back into TSTO after midnight on the east coast to kick off the Season 33 Prize Track!

Hi everyone! I have a question. How do I find and get the elf back in the box?
I keep looking at this empty box and would like to get him back in there.

You’ve got to find him in your Springfield…once you find him you can tap on him and he’ll go back.
You may be able to store the box and achieve the same thing, but I’m not 100% sure.
The last time my gnome hid (at least a couple of years ago, now) he did such a good job that, to this day, I haven’t been able to find him!
I’m thinking I must have tried storing it before, but wasn’t 100% sure so, after reading your comment, I thought I’d give it a try. Unfortunately, when I pulled the box back out of inventory, it was still empty. 🙁

I am still getting where I have to login and redownload all the data every time. It has to be something with iOS 15.x since it started doing it when I installed this. :-\ EA support has been NO HELP so far. Sigh.
The redownload is usually a space issue, not a OS issue. The OS issue generally leads to crashing. Try clearing your cache, and making sure you have at least 20GB free on your device and see if it works.
I do not think that storage is the problem. Seems like I have plenty of space although in settings it does not show Tapped Out using up 2G+ in space. Just like 62MB. Seems like it’s not saving the downloaded data each time.

Woo.. you are a pistol, aren’t you?. lol. I’ve been playing this game from very beginning as well and it’s only done this once or twice before and an app delete and reload fixed it every other time. I was able to load it on my phone and it works but the iPad is still giving me fits. I have about ~12G of my 32G available (including space OS is taking up) and it’s not having it. I guess it’s possible that iPadOS 15.x is just so darn large it’s taking up more room than any previous OS. I might be right on the edge, but comon EA, there’s more than enough room for your ~2.5G of data.
With each passing year, the natural smart-ass in me comes out. Blame it on my kids, they wear me down…
You used to be able to get away with about 5 GB free for TSTO, but with each passing year the game gets more and more bloated and becomes a space hog. I now recommend 18-20GB free, whether TSTO using it or not it wants to space available in the game. Perhaps because large updates, like Christmas (where they reload every single item into the game with snow) require a TON of space, and the game wants to make sure it’s available at all times. I’ve yet to make the freeing space up recommendation to someone and not have it work. Of course, you could be the first…but you’d have to try it to find out.

We actually have a new Simpsons Episode tonight (I don’t mind ‘musicals’ , I do mind someone else is singing Marge’s voice – because I ♥️ the voice of Marge Simpson, Julie Kavner, but let’s see how this Episode plays out).

Hope everyone is well and having a good day ive got to ask my daily task for today is send Springfielders to shop for gifts well when I tapped on the task 3 npc s came up anyone know why ?? I did send them 8 hours each and its not the first time its happened
I seem to be experiencing the infinite spinning donut of doom, is there a new bug or something? Any known ways to fix?
I would try a uninstall/reinstall of the game. It usually works for me.
Uninstall / Reinstall Game App
Clear Cache in Game App
Reboot your Device (that automatically clears Cache)
Be sure you have plenty of free space (ROM) because these Events take up a solid 1.5 Gigs next to the over 2 Gigs the Game App takes up.
