  1. I have a question.. how does one player accumulate 63 Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant’s in one town? I can only get it once so how have they got it that many times? I have seen other have an absurd multiple amount of other buildings that can only be purchased once also, but how?????

  2. Good afternoon. I don’t mean to dampen the mood created by an amazing game that I’ve been playing for over 8 years. However, after looking for active and recent forums, I realized I should try here, my go-to for TSTO news.

That being said, is anyone else bothered/annoyed by the recency bias of character jobs? IE, having dozens of characters go to one spot (Smooches on the Beach) to do the same job (Overpay for Sex on the Beach). Obviously, we would all love to have default jobs be animated jobs, but this is a bit much…isn’t it?

    Thank you for humoring me.

  4. I’ve been playing since 2014 as a premium player. The only complaint I have with the game is that I have all of the premium items except for the iconic Springfield mountain. Seriously, how can you build your very own Springfield when that is the first and biggest thing on the show. The only way it can be obtained is to keep dumping $donuts into the yearbook which you will wind up with 10 Lard Lads and copy after copy of the same items you already have…

  5. Does anyone know if there will be a Black friday sale on mystery boxes this year? You know the one where there’s like 15 different boxes to choose from.
I’m still hoping to get charachters from before I started playing.

  6. Ok, ok- I hear all you Tappers mad you didn’t get a ‘spooky, real halloween’ event- even though I’m with Alissa- we already got that in the past, it’s a THOH event and that’s what it is- so let’s get over it and enjoy, ok?
How about sharing how we can make our pocket sized Springfield a little more seasonal?
Yes, sadly nightmare pile can only use one child in their costume, ( I actually prefer Sherri and Terri go with my Shinning twin set) I’ve got a hundred ways I make my Springfield more Halloweenie. I’ll share mine, if you share yours.

    • Pretty sure if Springfield was filled with snow and Tappers were waiting for a Christmas-y Event 🎄 during December they would definitely 👎🏻 if all they got was Act 1 and Act 2 Content (new Tappers not being able to obtain prior Christmas Content wouldn’t be thrilled) …. if it wasn’t meant to be Halloween 🎃 ish ? then there wouldn’t be Murky Waters and Spooky Music (and THOH Episodes have been more miss then hit since 2002).

      • CJBrownLV I couldn’t agree with you more. Especially for “new” tappers to the game… not being able to purchase any “Halloweenie” items for in game cash or donuts for an event that takes place close to Halloween was a major fail on EA. I’m lucky to have items in inventory from past events to make it more like Halloween at least.
And to Sarah Gi. I am accepting the current event as “meh”. Better event for the summer months.
And to Alissa. You keep on saying “blame the writers…” I choose to blame all staff members accountable for piecing together The Simpsons: Tapped Out. From management on down to the office runner. Unfortunately seems as though the game is currently run by people who aren’t fans or players themselves of this. And it’s just a job for them. Hell, some of them probably weren’t even born when The Simpsons first appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show.
Thank you. I’m done ranting for today and I will let CJBrownLV pick up the ball. And thank you to Alissa for hosting this enlightening discussion.

        • I’ve been doing this a long time, and playing even longer. On the scale of 💩 updates to TSTO…this doesn’t hit the peak of 💩. Could they have thrown a pumpkin in the store? Yea. But monsters running around Springfield? Meh done it…TWICE. Ghosts? Meh Done it. Zombies? Meh done it. Aliens? Meh done it, TWICE.
People will always find a reason to complain. Again, I’ve been doing this a long time, I’m just tired of listening to complaining. Focus on the good instead of the bad. In the end, it’s just a game.

          • The good is this website tstoaddicts.com.
I did leave the game temporarily and didn’t play for 4 years of the game. Then I came back to it just before the pandemic. And I am addicted to it. Duh? But unfortunately it seems to have never fully worked out the issues it has keeping it from becoming an “excellent game.” It’s sad because there is no other “Simpsons” game based around this concept of being able to design your own Springfield. I just wish it were so much more than what it became. That’s all Alissa. When you see something you love enjoy doing and have spent countless hours on… it’s hard to let go.

          • Alissa puts more effort into TSTO ADDICTS than EA does into the TSTO Game App ….. and their TSTO Social Networks (that’s where I believe a lot of “meh” would go away if EA actually took the time to engage with Tappers ….. such as asking what do you want in the Game App? have a poll to vote on Content / Game Play Format, etc)

Constructive criticism turns into “meh” because it feels phoned in (the Concepts for each Act’s Segment would have been awesome during Spring and Summer, these are not working during Halloween 🎃 like they wouldn’t work during Christmas ☃️ )

    • I kept a Halloween area in my town all year round. I got the skins on buildings and decorations that are Halloween/Treehouse of Horror themed like the Heck House, Kill-E-Mart, Krusty Murder, Lord Montymort’s Lair, Moe’s Terror, Scream-son House and the destroyed/damaged skins for Court House, Jebediah Statue, and Lard Lads.

  7. In Closing (’til another fine post comes to TSTO ADDICTS)

💯 Agree with this Article!! 🎃🪦🦇🧛‍♂️

The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror Needs To Return To Its Origins

  8. Happy Sunday kids!!!! I got my Wednesday Addams dress this week!! Never too old for Halloween!!!!! WOOOOOOO🎃🎃🎃 Lol watch it snow…..lol

    • Happy Sunday

We took my Niece to see Addams Family 2 …… she looked at the Mrs and Me and said, “ok I get it now you two are really like this in real life!” (as she points to the screen and laughs) 😂

We’ll eventually get to introduce her to The Munsters (whom we truly pay homage to) – and Yay you got a Costume, hopefully you’ve got a Halloween Night planned, and by golly trick or treat (we still do, to heck with parking lots, it’s all about houses and neighborhoods!) ☺️🦇🎃

  9. 7 days without an accident .

I fell last week on the deck and been banged up all week .
Lucky for me I didn’t break anything .
Doing much better but still sore .
And no I was not drunk .

    See ya bye . 👽🖖

    • Oh my dear lord……be careful!!!! It’s not even cold and icy yet!!!! Glad ur ok🖤

    • Hey now I sincerely hope you are okay (as in not experiencing any long-term Medical situations due to that fall), please be careful (says Mr Orthopedically Challenged) and safety first (have to remind workers on the job every day so that we can maintain an incident-free Work Zone).

  10. Has anybody bought those halloween 2021 bundles. I’ve bought one or two but dont see the relevance in them. Are they worth getting?

    • If you enjoyed the THOH episode where basically Mr. Burns did a spoof of Jurassic Park… I had fun with it. I even made my own island.

  11. Heidi ho Neighborino’s (and Tappers)
Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday and if the weather’s right step outside to enjoy it.

Another fine video from Alissa and Safi on YouTube that is worth watching and leaving comments.

OMG we got the World Series and Football Games (thank goodness FOX is not preempting the newest Simpsons Episode tonight).

How I long for a post-pandemic life (stay safe everybody, get that flu 💉 if you can).

  12. Am I allowed to be disappointed yet?

    • You can be whatever you want.

    • Channel that disappointment by seeking what’s Halloween 🎃 elsewhere – I have (but as I’ve stated before … the Gil Deal should suffice those wanting spooky funny!) Let EA know how you feel on the official TSTO Facebook Page , but don’t be too naughty – Facebook jail is for real! 😉

  13. I don’t mind the prizes in this event. I like having an assortment of vehicles…and the “human sized body bags” truck…How can anyone put that in storage. Happy football day everyone.

    • I’m also perfectly satisfied with vehicles as prizes, not too large as we also have many new properties. I already have too many characters than I know what to do with. I’ll take an animation prize any day over a token for a mystery box prize I’ve already passed over many times before.

  14. Happy Sunday everyone
    Cool weather has arrived
    Preparing for our booster shots
Regrets sent to Halloween party invite
But, December parties should be available.

    • Happy Sunday,
      Flu 💉 done
      Knott’s Scary Farm invaded 🎃
      (overdosed on boysenberries, even)
11″ of ❄️ in the Mountains
      a wind 🌬️ has kept temperatures 🥶
      (thank goodness for swiss-tech clothes)

Maybe Act 3 will bring something scarry funny
      (like the Gil Deal) 🧟‍♂️🐗👨🏽‍🔬

  15. mr.rooney.to.you

Happy tapping all, half way through act 2, have a good week all

  16. Ok I’ll be the first to say it:

I was excited for the THOH event, usually I am…I watched the event spoiler video you guys did and thought it looked fun…but thus far, playing into act 2, I am underwhelmed. Most of the items so far are inventory bound sadly… The event strikes me as more of a ‘early summer’ event not Halloween…. 🙁

On another note: town wise, I’ve gotten back to designing again…I am having lots of fun with it again, but have 3 complaints: 1. Everyone knows this pain: item limits…come on EA.. 2. Building scale. Pick a scale and stick with it EA, it’s hard to have fun designing and building a town when one house is one size and another is HUGE. 3. stop tying characters directly to buildings…I’d love to have every character released out in my town wandering and doing something goofy, but there are buildings with horrible scale or that I don’t like and the character is tied to that building so it stays in inventory. Case in point: Rockstar Maggie. Love the character, no place I want to out the hyperstadium.

    Until next time.

    • Winner, winner!

      • Did anyone else time their corn harvest to be ready on Christmas Day???

      • I don’t usually do sports books, but with all of these football games? I’m sure a $20 bet turned into a $1,000 win will lead to something nice (besides the nice day out that I’m going to take advantage of).

Hey everyone if you have good weather step outside and enjoy it! 👍🏻

    • While I agree that there are a few characters that I’ll never use because I don’t want to use the buildings/decorations they’re tired to, there is an advantage to having characters tied to buildings, namely, the ability to quicky free up, find, or control the location of, those characters.

      • Most important point, well one that Patric commented upon, is the scale of the Building (there needs to be a set standard of how big a House Mansion Office Temple Castle Factory etc should be vs some of these Buildings that are too big and no Character Tasks go into Storage!) Freeing a Character from being locked with a Building means if you Store the Building? you don’t lose the Character (and vice versa).

Always room for improvement in this Game App, it’s just EA should do a better job engaging with Tappers / inquiring what we want via their TSTO Social Networks.

        • I agree about the variety of scales. I think it would be even worse for newer players… I’ve been around long enough to have buildings of various scales already, so sometimes I can find similar sized buildings to put the new ones with.

It would be great if they picked a scale and stuck to it, but I kinda understand why that would be hard for the designers to do….to be realistic, you’d either need to have, say, a teeny tiny house in order to have a properly sized, say, mall or skyscraper, or you’d need to have the mall building or skyscraper be huge to go with a more regular size house (and then folks would complain about needing more land even more than they do now).

    • You nailed it Rob 👍🏻

it’s bad enough that there’s no Halloween 🎃 this year in Springfield THOH (bad for new Tappers who don’t have a chance to obtain older Content) except the Murky Waters and Spooky Music (but what good is that if we don’t have monsters 🧟‍♂️ and trick or treaters 🧛‍♂️ ? – imagine if those were NPC’s we tapped!)

The same Content (sure it’s New – but who wants another 🚗 or 🚁 that does nothing? does anybody feel rewarded for their effort grinding to obtain Prizes that go right into Storage? Each Act borrows from a THOH Segment that feels like a Spring / Summer Event (imagine if Act 1 and Act 2 was unleashed during Christmas ☃️ with all that snow in our Springfield – imagine how irritated Tappers would be!)

Item Limits and Land Expansion – these are both necessary for those of us Tapping for 9 years (or more), we are forced to put Content into Storage and reevaluate our Springfield’s (removing our moments of being creative because of ‘that buzzer reminding you you have too much in your town’) and so it begs the question “why bother?” when you want to be creative …. and EA is limiting that (I had a good month to rearrange my Springfield and make space, but I fear they’ll come a time I have to remove more Content in order to make room for what’s new …. only as I become less interested with what’s new, I just skip parts of a Multi Act Event that don’t interest me, I literally stopped Tapping because EA is failing!)

      • I push through every event because you never know when something.ight be useful later. recently I did something with the storage auction building. but instead of just out tithe building and calling 8t good I put a chain link fence around it, used an opera ticket booth as a gatehouse, and a piece of one of those SH modular buildings as the ‘rental office’ for the storage complex. Added a bit of fun…

I was going to do a China/Japan area with the Sumo arena, Japanese KB, anime district, etc. But the anime district scale is off, and I couldn’t get it to any way I liked so now it’s just the Sumo arena with so.e of the lanterns and such… Debating on keeping it or not.

If you’re interested in seeing My.town my,username in game is DaveSangor05

      • HooRay! Exactly why I love to hate this game. It just sucks you back in as much as you gripe and mope about all the fails this game has unleashed over the years. Examples such as Squidport, Krustyland, Monorail, Springfield Heights, Road to Riches, etc.
Just stop this insanity. Rerelease the game reworked from the ground up. And make all the wrongs right! PLEASE. EA!? You have a devoted fan base willing to spend real $$$.

        • Oh good lord no! The chances that a completely reworked game that fixes all of the popular gripes would allow them to preserve users’ town intact are slim and, if I ever had to start from scratch building my town (even if everything was in inventory) that would be the end of my playing this game!

          • I have lost count of the amount of times I have hit the nuke button! I’ve purchased all land tiles. And never have to complain about needing more land! There is just so much other stuff to complain about. The problem is we’re addicted to Tapped Out! And we want it to succeed but reality is it will never be fixed because that would cause EA or someone else to hire a team. So why just not throw new items in for cash to keep the money flowing in with minimal amount of effort. I love this game and have been playing since 2013. I am a designer at heart. That is why I play. My biggest peeve is not being able to put ANYTHING we want into Inventory. Or just being able to remove the mountains completely. Sorry to ramble.

            • I admire people who can nuke and start over, but that’s not how I’m built. The furniture in my house IRL is all pretty much still in the same place it was put when we moved in 34 years ago! I tend to find the “right” solution to things and then stick with it. Once I’ve carefully created an area in my Springfield, I rarely make changes to it. I’m not by any means saying that that’s the only, or even the best, way to play, but it’s how I roll, so to speak. If I had to start over, I’m not even sure where/how I’d begin. And the fact that the inventory is so cumbersome to use (after accreting seven years’ worth of stuff) makes the right even more daunting. The only way I could imagine tackling that would be maybe if I were retired and had lots of spare time (or, I guess, if I was put on disability for six months, like I was when I first started playing).

              • sandrashill I have found the game feature most helpful before hitting the nuke button is to group store items in inventory. Such as keeping together certain sections of your Springfield and storing that in inventory. It still takes some work on your end but you can preserve certain aspects forever and incorporate it back into your new design. Never have I had to worry about “more land” needed. To each their own.
I don’t understand tappers that are a “completist plopper.”Just a hoarder I suppose when it comes down to it. And no desire to design but to just accumulate items just to have them.
I understand what you’re saying. I just wish EA would somehow address the larger fails in the game instead of just limping along with trying to patch something that just needs to be “re-paved instead of just filling the potholes” so to say.

              • I get it… There are definitely things that could be changed/fixed in the game to improve it. I, too, still have a fair bit of unooened land yet and I don’t put anything in my town that I don’t like our don’t have a good place for. I only “plop,” in a kind of “staging area,” during events…once the event is done, I take those items and, fir each one, either incorporate it into a new area (with other items from the event), find a place for it in an existing area (not too often, but it happens), or put them into inventory.

      • I’ve been getting more space by using the yellow submarine to manufacture Squidport tiles. Almost out of water now!
