Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Murky water, tress have changed colors, and leaves are blowing in Springfield, that can only mean one thing…the annual Treehouse of Horror update is upon us! Yes, with this annual event we never know if we’ll get a trick or a treat, if it’ll be Halloween-y or spoof-y…but it arrives in our pocket-sized towns nonetheless year after year. And this year, marks the 10th…yes the TENTH…Treehouse of Horror update in TSTO. So what does EA have in store for us this year? Dinosaurs! In true Treehouse of Horror spoof style. As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on November 10th. However, Act 4 will start on November 2nd (Note the Tuesday start date).
Things kick off for Act 3 with some dialogue between Lisa, Homer, and Mad Dr. Hibbert…
Lisa: Dad, why are you wearing a frog mask?
Homer: If I can’t beat our dinosaur overlords, I say we join ‘em.
Mad Dr. Hibbert: Hold on, Frogman. We’ve still got options. This crisis started with medical science gone awry, and medical science gone awry is how we’re going to end it.
Lisa: Science going awry has caused a lot of problems in the world.
Mad Dr. Hibbert: C’mon, little girl. A little DNA manipulation never hurt anyone…that we know of.
Quimby: Stand aside, young lady and let the mad scientist do his thing.
This triggers the Act 3 questline, The Mutant Army of Dr. Hibbert and is followed by 4 hr tasks for 5 Springfielders, Dr. Hibbert, and Lisa, as well as a task to collect Act 3 Currency (115), and a task to collect/tap 15 dinosaurs. The Mutant Army of Dr. Hibbert is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 3…
Here’s the Act 3 Synopsis from EA:
Dr. Hibbert proposes using human-animal hybrids to fight the dinosaurs. Springfielders don’t want to be turned into animals, but Hibbert reveals that since he’s everyone’s doctor he already had their DNA and has already cloned and grown an army of human-animal hybrids based on the Springfielders. While Lisa balks at the morality of this, everyone else just complains about the choice of animal their clones were combined with. After a brief training regimen to prepare them to fight the dinosaurs, the human-animal hybrids are deployed against Grampasaurus and the dinosaurs, routing the dino army at first. But after the human-animals are distracted by Homer offering them orange slices and juice boxes, the dinosaurs rally and defeat the human-animal hybrids.
As I stated above, you’ll go right into The Mutant Army of Dr. Hibbert questline, which is what the Act 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 3 prizes.

Each Act will have a new premium character that will earn event currency. From what I can see, based on the info from EA, characters will be used throughout the entire event. So Act 1 will be used in Act 2, 3, and 4…etc.

8 /4hrs for New Premium

House of Pain (Building) – you get Characters Tasking here during Act 3 to obtain Event Currency!
Hibbert Island Bungalow (Building) – doesn’t take up Real Estate & worth spending sprinkles to obtain more (there’s no maximum, buy as many as you want!)
Spider Bart Trees (Decoration) – I’ll take it, would’ve preferred a Bart Simpson Character Skin with this to have a Visual Character Task at ( 🕸️ spells out EAT MY SHORTS when Tapped – lol !)
Comic Book Ram (Character) – not a Character Skin, a complete Character with great Visual Character Tasks.
Panther Marge & Mad Dr. Hibbert’s Manor – a solid Premium Character Combo (would’ve preferred a smaller Manor), she’s Voiced with funny Visual Character Tasks, the Manor has Character Tasks for Event Currency.
I appreciate the New Content in Act 3, but this whole THOH Event still gets an F Grade! Each Act would have worked better as a 2021 Mini Event! In fact? Act 3’s Segment comes from “Treehouse of Horror XIII” (2002) has tons of potential Mini Event Content and this video proves it (lots of potential Characters, Character Skins, Decor that would’ve offered up amusing Visual Tasks – c’mon Homer Simpson milking Ned Flanders 🐄 is pure parody pleasure !)

CJBrownLV…I’d love to hear your movie review for DUNE….I’m excited to see it in theater….being so far North…It’s actually a big deal to drive 1.5 hrs for a film. I’m sure this one is worth it,….but I’d still love to hear a first hand review..especially from someone who knows what they’re talking about, such as yourself.

_please go see DUNE (2021) at the Cinemas (it was filmed for IMAX, you get a cool 3-D version available also, standard is fine and hey Legendary – Warner Bros have green lit Part 2 for a 2023 release!) I’m sorry it’s a loooong drive for you, not ashamed to admit our local Cinema is a 6 minute drive, but I think Museums are just as important!)

I haven’t been able to play any of this event. Is anyone else having problems or is it just because I started in the middle of act 2?

I believe you need to be minimum Level 15 in your Springfield
Act 3 did start when Alissa said it would –
Sunday October 24 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time
This is probably the best act in the entire event since there is something for everyone. There’s finally a character prize (Comic Book Ram) in this event. There’s 2 building prizes instead of 1 (House of Pain and Hibbert Island Bungalow). There’s the final Geriatric Park item (the GP Jeep). There’s the Spider Bart Trees which looks cool on its own. Mad Dr. Hibbert’s Manor and Panther Marge looks like a good character and building though I think Mad Dr. Hibbert should’ve came with the manor instead of Panther Marge or at least been tied to the building for the people that don’t have him.
This is the one Saf and I pointed to in the spoiler video as the potential for the best act.
Alissa, as a long time player, I have reached the max in game $$$ level. Has EA thought about crafting an item that we could purchase that would reset my in game cash? It could be something very, very shiny, that would show up when someone visited your Springfield. Resting the cash really isn’t a problem, there really isn’t anything I want to buy at this point, besides, how do they expect one to spend more than $4.29B?
You could spend all $4.29 billion on trees and turn your town into a forest.
