It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

ICYMI Addicts Live was back yesterday with a THOH XXXII Wrap Up episode! Saf and I gave our thoughts and then spent a lot of time sharing your opinions about the update. Check it out here if you missed it!
Now that the THOH Event is over, it’s time to look towards what’s new! EA gave us some SPOILER details on the next mini-event for TSTO, which will launch on Wednesday 11/17. You can check out that spoiler post here if you missed it (or just want to look at it again).

Just curious do you have a schedule or know when the Season 33 tasks will begin? Like Episode 3? Seems like it will never open!
No, they haven’t shared any season 33 release dates with us. A lot of it depends on TV release dates too. Often shows are produced and air out of order.
App store update available but beware, my game on mega go slow since I updated, can’t tap or move around my town don’t know if there’s an item in my game that’s using all resources, like the helecopter sometimes does but it’s not beging used.
Maybe game specs have change so needing more ram?

Try a Friends Towns sync.
I managed to get to my KL shuttle, near Homer’s house but took an age, and my KL is in SH. That smoothed things out and I had a peek at the canyon it’s added for free – but I followed with a sync and it’s OK so far
^^ Scratch that – fight your way over to SH so it can “draw” the new stuff and that seems to fix it and it stays fixed ( I hope )
Just updated my B town and did that by tapping the buildings nearest the mountain so it slowly edged me over that way and that did the trick. Quit and relaunched and the lag didn’t return
Looks like the new land is all 25 rows to the top of the main land map too, assuming we can unlock ’em all 😊
So anyone else have the Halloween event stuck since Halloween ended? It still shows that I can finish my current quest but when I do the jobs it just earns money and XP instead of the syringes.

Just a reminder for those collecting currency for getting SH land tiles, don’t forget that Springfield Googolplex Theater earns currency!
From the TSTOA files “Springfield Googolplex WDTCF” post, the Googolplex plays movies that earn stuff:
The Chair Couch Project – cost $50K – 5 Furniture
Cafeblanca – costs $75K – 5 Coffee
Yogan’s Run – costs $100K – 5 Yoga Mats

I use this all the time for the daily challenge but the currency is redundant for those of us that have all the SH land, unless there are new land available that SH currency can be used to buy?
Haven’t been this excited on the new event starting in ages, especially the new land and currency being introduced 😅😜😂🏴😎
Yes, I agree mr. rooney – it’s redundant to use after having all the SH land tiles, unless you’re still trying to get SH buildings, decorations, etc.
My point was that there’s the possibility that new SH land tiles might require this type of currency again, so folks might want to consider stockpiling more of it – and the Googolplex really helps with stockpiling.
Hi Alissa I was wondering if you could help me. In 2013 I missed my chance at getting Mayan Homer. During the Time Traveling Toaster event I was able to purchase Mayan Marge and Mayan God separate. Is there a way for me to get Mayan Homer I tried storing Marge just to see if anything would appear in the store. Should I try contacting EA?

Just been reading some GGR posts and can’t see the answer, but hope the answer is yes:
Can you speed up/skip the timer countdown with donuts?
Yes. You’ll also get an extra token each day if you use SkyFinger to collect when the GGR is ready and then pop to the friends towns section and back 😊
I know the event starts Wednesday the 17th 9am eastern….when does the update hit the app store? Thanks
Some things for my wish-list:
Allow 2 x small monorail tracks to be joined.
Allow curved and squiggly monorail tracks to be straightened.
(Would happily pay a donut for each, each time)
Give us more monorail stations. Maybe not one per event, but one every couple months or so.
Allow us to put a stop on one of the monorail track pieces (toggle switch) so that the faux stations we have made actually then function as stations (before I nuked my town a couple years back, I had maybe 15 ‘fake’ monorail stations.
Other than that, just get this mini-event started 🤪
Repo982 If you want to increasing your straight pieces of the Monorail tracks, do you have the Little Lisa Recycling Plant? If not, try to get it (I’m not sure if it’s a Black Friday or in-store item.) The plant earns 350 blueprints every 4 hours which really speeds up earning track pieces at the Rail Yard.
Best of all, just like Springfield Googolplex earnings, these blueprints are passive earnings, i.e., you don’t need to send any characters on tasks there.
It’s actually 450, not 350.
Thanks for the correction Safi – the old TSTO article that I checked said 350 blueprints. I had cleared my buildings a while before I posted the comments (and I couldn’t recall the blueprint number earned from my own Little Lisa plant) so I looked it up on this site for my posted comment.

Do what you can to make sure you unlock the tiles for the buildings for currency too, I have a feeling you will need them for this next mini event.
To everyone who has got all the SH land – make sure you have SH resources to spare in case you need to unlock a little extra land for what’s coming.
While I don’t know for sure, I think there will be at least one new row of SH land added, in order to fit that gorge and bridge.
A very late little tip for anyone who is still working on unlocking Springfield Heights land tiles –
Forget everything and go all out on getting the tiles just the other side of the mountains from your main town.
From the sound of it, that land doesn’t unlock until you complete the event. So as long at you complete the mini event you’ll have plenty of time to unlock the land tiles (as there’s no end date) best bet is to focus on the mini event then tackle the land slow and steady

I was posting the tips for people who have work yet to do or no resources in the bank for Springfield Heights as it is today, not the shiny new unreleased stuff. Does that help it make a little more sense ?? 😊
Yup if it’s based on what you do before the event hits…just to kill time. But once it hits, it’s best to focus on the mini-event, and then worry about the land. Just don’t want people to think they have to get all that SH land immediately.

I got thru A to L of my Neighboureeno and then the Bart Simpson Screen of ☠️ (it happens! EA’s Networks require maintenance just like every other Game Company’s … wait it out and try again later).
Hi Megan, try to clear the cache and do a hard close, I find that helps 🤞

The end of THOH won’t let me finish the last job to get the last item. I keep completing the tasks but it pays money not a syringe so I can complete the event. It’s been stuck on this since last Tuesday and won’t complete it. Seems like the game has a glitch. How do I get this to complete?

You can bring this up with EA Help, but please be aware that this Multi-Act Event ended (you can still complete those Questlines available post Act) ….. a New Mini Event is coming up (might as well prepare for that).
Mine is doing the same thing. I only get currency and not syringes, which is annoying because I’m only a few syringes away from getting the last prize.

Hi all, wondering if you guys can help?
When I created my Springfield Heights a few years ago, I thought a crazy huge hotel complex would look the part. (It helped with my S.H real estate anyway).
Now we have the new water flowing through with a waterfall, I can’t see it due to all those high buildings!
Not sure what to do with it and no space in S.H!?

Personally I’d store them, but I stored all mine anyway, even the stuff with an attached bonus %.
You’ll still keep the SH value when they’re in inventory and those don’t have a bonus boost anyway.
I’m also not a fan of tall so I’d tap all those Condos and drop ’em to the level one look and spread them out to fill the gap.
Thanks for your reply, good plan. That seems like my best option, so it’s less cluttered and shows off the new waterfall and river flowing down into Springfield.
