I know the post is not as detailed as Alissa’s, but wanted to share what I could. That’s the best I can do – the five prizes that can be earned in Northward Bound! Welcome to the North!

No matter what you say, the “Northwest passage” does not take you to Canada. I can’t see any resemblance, whatsoever.. Lots of trees and barren land, and buffalo ?? Ah shoot..
I got all five prizes, built the bridge. But I can only sent 1 character at a time to earn a map. Then I have 8 hours of it “panning for gold, er umm “donuts” before I can send one character to earn a map…repeat. I have only earned 5 out of 50 maps to start earning land. I’ve not been able to add any land. Am I doing something wrong?
You don’t need all 50 Maps to unlock land. Please check out the Prospecting Land Part 1 post from last week (Part 2 drops later today).
You need to collect Prosector Map from the Prospector Shack every 8 hours. Once you have 3 of the Maps, you can send one character to earn a Land Deed. Land Deeds (1 to 7 depending on the tile) will be used to unlock the new land tiles.

If someone could give a response on this would be great. I started playing again a couple days ago with Black Friday (which turned out great btw, managed to get Donut Factory, Yahweh, CostMo AND Golden Goose Realty) and have missed most of this event. I am only partially through the first prize level, and so my question was will I miss out on all the land expansion and donut unlock stuff if I don’t complete unlock all 5 prizes? Thanks.
We don’t know for sure. Some sources say you will still be able to unlock the bridge immediately after the event. Whereas other sources say if you don’t unlock the bridge this event, you my have to wait until a future event for EA to give you another opportunity to unlock the land. Try your best to get the fifth prize by the 1st.
Why am I not getting a map every 8 hrs when I clear the shack??? Stopped at 4 yesterday and I’ve cleared it 3 times dince and gotten zero maps.
Why do I only get a once off amount of donuts when I tap the donut vein (rock) and when my friend does it in his game he can tap the same vein four times for four different amount of donuts from the same rock. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

You’re experiencing normal gameplay , your friend isn’t (and chances are they will experience a ‘rollback glitch’ so whatever they accumulated will disappear and they get to start over!)
It’s guaranteed if you find an exploit and chat about it online? EA we’ll find out and put out a patch upload to fix it (now have fun Tapping + unlocking New Land Tiles … just remember there is no right or wrong way to play this Game App, just have fun). 😀👍🏻
My shack after 8 hrs doesn’t always give me a coin. Also, does the bridge eventually complete? I have collected the 5 prizes

(it’s self-explanatory! every 8 Hours you get 1 Map at the Shack! It takes 3 Maps to send 1 Character to obtain 1 Deed! That 1st Row of 6 Land Tiles takes 1 Deed per Land Tile to unlock them! )
But, before you even get to that? Finish the Mini Event by completing that Bridge (it takes 16 hours, or you can expedite with 🍩’s whenever you run out of patience / time). Have fun Tapping there is no right or wrong way to play the Game App! 😀👍🏻
Yes, there should be a quest to collect wood and nails, after which it’s complete
Server disconnection seem to be more prevalent lately.
Perhaps this is due to more people playing again, following the generosity of the current mirror mini event.
Aside from the new land and free donuts, I got an opportunity to get some of the wild West stuff that I’ve seen in other players worlds, presumably earned before I started playing (2015)
I have been getting Bart Simpson Screen of ☠️ often (this could be EA does not like it if you spend too much time editing your Springfield, or 🍩 Farming – I could take a day off and that since I have 8,000 🍩’s!) About it’s great to have a Land Expansion, increased Item Limits, and the return of Frontierland (lol that’s my nickname for it) Content …. it’s the wild wild west in Springfield! Have a nice weekend!.😀👍🏻
Connie’s Collecting the Apple Tree task gets you .5% bonus, the first time anyways. Also, I was surprised to collect 6 donuts from a neighbour’s Prospector Shack when I visited.
Will visit you and see if I get 6 Donuts from your perspective shack 😂🤠😁😎🏴
Were the donuts you got from the shack still in your total when you returned to your own Springfield? Just wondering whether it was real, or just a glitch…

How do “make the group” complete the quest” it does not come up as an option
Looking at what it takes to get land, it seems that you need to buy coins to progress at any real speed. So far this is looking like a cash grab. Too bad. I was looking forward to so expansion.
It’s designed to give people something to do for the next year and a half. You can easily enjoy this without spending a real cent or even an in-game donut.
Uh, most of the stuff actually comes from S12E21 “Simpsons Tall Tales”. I wondered because I didn’t recognize “Dude, Where’s My Ranch” but I did recall watching the Bufflekills head west.
Also includes Paul Bunyan and Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn.

I know we got one Building from that Segment with Tom (Bart Simpson).and Huck (Nelson), I’ll take a Variant Character (or Character Skin) that’s voiced and has them on a raft (Visual Character Tasks!) Have a nice weekend! 😀👍🏻
As I’ve shared before, I’m very happy with this event. It’s not too much in saying this event will keep me playing the game for the foreseeable future. I enjoyed all the prizes and have been able to create a nice frontier land..with plenty of room for future expansion, as well as plenty of new land for future designs. Storing a lot of trees and rocks..but that’s about all. Gotta go get ready to do some shoveling and snow clearing later tonight..want to get a head start for the morning as we’re in the start of a ten inch snow storm into tomorrow afternoon.
I need to be fair by stating that I prefer Mini Events vs Multi-Act Events (because you are less likely to get Prizes that are going straight into Storage, or you do not want to Tap for) ….
Connie Appleseed – complete Character (not Character Skin), I know it’s another Lisa Simpson Variant (lol, watch the Episode “Simpsons Tall Tales” and you will understand!), she’s Voiced with fun Visual Character Tasks (felt like I got a free Premium Character!)
Pone, Pelts, and Beyond – it’s a Building that doesn’t take up Real Estate (thank you, EA!), from the ‘Tom and Huck’ Segment of “Simpsons Tall Tales” Episode (will we get anything else from that Segment? I hope so via a Mini Event!) Groundskeeper Willie’s 2 Hour Task is great (but where are my Bart Tom Sawyer and Nelson Huckleberry Finn?!)
Frontier Wagon – not bad as Decor (when Tapped the 🐎 disappears with a 🦬 pelt on top of the Wagon), I didn’t have the need to obtain more for 30 🍩’s (years ago this would’ve been a Craftable!)
Frontier Camp – this seemed more like a Building than Decor (except it doesn’t generate Simpsons $ or XP!), I like it (make room for it because it’s big!) when Tapped you get a Character popping out of a 🦬 (lol – reminds me of Luke Skywalker inside a Bantha a la STAR WARS V: The Empire Strikes Back! watch the “Simpsons Tall Tales” Episode and you will understand!)
Frontier Town – my favourite Building style (yay! I can put a Road thru it!) and this felt like a nice way to create an extension of Prior Content (Old Springfield Frontierland!)
Safi n’ Alissa are accurate by saying that this may be the No. 1 Event in 2021, which I agree (getting the Land Expansion / Item Limits Increased seals that deal!)
FYI – did you complete the Event Questline? good, then you are on your way to unlocking New Land Tiles! 😀👍🏻
Is anyone else having issues logging in? Haven’t been able to login stubs yesterday. Getting the invalid code problem some people had a few months ago
Allan if you are receiving the “verification code” by email? you got to be quick, so it might be easier for you to have a desktop or laptop handy on the side (write down the “verification code” you receive by email on the desktop or laptop – with the TSTO Game App open, quickly type in the “verification code”).
You only get like three tries to do the “verification code”, so if you fail? then EA will lock you out of your Account (if that’s happening to you? then you got to deal with @EAHelp at their website, or on their Twitter Account! just be cool with EA Tech Support and they will help you!)
You need to reset your EA password.

I was home for just under 6 hours and just got off a flight from Ottawa to Toronto. I have a flight from Toronto to Vancouver in a few hours.
No chance for remote work ? That’s a crazy amount of travelling.
I LOVE travelling, so don’t mind taking over a hundred flights per year.

If he’s traveling for business over distances that can’t practicably be covered by a different means of transportation, I’m not sure what you’d have him do? It’s his company that might need to change their businesses practices…not sure that Safi has any options (other than to quit his job, at which point, someone else will just get hired to make the same trips). So, I think your beef lies with Safi’s employer, not Safi himself.
I’ll try biking from Ottawa to Los Angeles next time. 😉

I never implied, or intended to imply, that you were a bully! I just didn’t know why you kept hounding Safi about something that he has no real control over.
I appreciate your environmental consciousness….I have to say, that what’s happening with the climate change and the lack of political will (worldwide) to take meaningful action against it, is quite alarming, and I’m almost glad to be as old as I am, as I will likely not be around to see the worst of the consequences.
I try to be a good ecocitizen, but I’m far from as good as I should be (and, honestly, people’s individual behavior has less of an impact compared to other factors, but every little bit helps!). I’m fortunate to work for a company that is trying to do better in this regard, and the pandemic eliminated almost all businesses travel in my company. Even after that, my company is asking that folks not do as much business travel as we did pre-pandemic, and is encouraging the continued used of Zoom and such, rather than having folks travel, say, between our U.S. locations and our head corporate office in Toronto.
Almost caused an international incident 😂🏴 🇨🇦
What do you do when the tasks to build the Bridge don’t show up?
You collected all prizes and completed the Buffalo Bridge quest? If so, contact EA.

Did you complete the whole Questline for this Event?
If so, then you got a Bridge to Unlock (this is not instant, it take Hours to complete!) and there will be access to a Shack next (this introduces the Tutorial for ‘unlocking New Land Tiles’).
If you completed the whole Questline, but you are experiencing what we call the ‘roleback glitch’ (you completed the Questline but your Game App isn’t acknowledging that you did), then you need to get in touch with EA Tech Support (they are gone for the day after 7:00 p.m., they are available Saturday after 8:00 a.m., they have Sunday off and won’t be back until Monday morning!)
Be cool with EA Tech Support and they will help you (just be aware that you are one of a thousand other Gameplayers looking for help!) and have all the information you will be asked for.
When you get the fifth mini-event prize there-s an End-of-quest task . . .
