Nearly two weeks ago, a brand-new mini-event started up in our towns! (as long as you’ve downloaded the update)
But now the end is near. Hopefully you’ve all made it up North.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
So finish up those questlines, relax, and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

I love it, spent a ton on donuts because I did want the deed generator… I have been playing since the beginning but took about 5 years off lol. Can’t to see what’s up for Christmas!

I came into the game a little late but was able to aquire the bridge and land. I enjoyed the north bound adventure. It would be nice if Springfield had it’s own water park. How fun would that be. Keep up the great work EA.

It was nice to offer up Thank You’s to EA for the Land Expansion / increased Item Limits (it’s nice to be creative vs having to put Content in the Storage because you are running out of room!) I didn’t mind having the Mini Event come to an end, I just want extra time to move things around my Springfield before the next Event starts (lol!)
I’m happy for those who took advantage of the Black Friday Mystery Boxes (if you didn’t have any? you truly are a valued completist and that deserves a special Sky Finger Statue!) I managed to obtain a few things, but my complaint is there’s still certain Prior Content that wasn’t available – and it’s not just me, there are other long time tappers left going “what the fudge?” because it’s an easy fix and it would actually get tappers to buy 🪙’s!)
$45.99 for the Black Friday Prize Track (with 🪙’s and 🍩’s) is actually a bargain if you are brand new to the Game App and want to get a head start on obtaining Prior Content. I look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity (so yes I look forward to seeing the ‘Show Off’!)
Since the last update, when I open the app it has logged me out and I need to sign in again. I sign in then every single time it says ‘you need to download addition data 2200mb’. I then spend ages downloading and my game is ok. When I close the app and reopen, it starts all over again. Now it’s saying my iPad storage is full as it’s done it so many times. Is anyone else experiencing this?
You need to free up space on your device. I recommend 15-20gb free
I agree with the free space recommendation.
I’m running an iPad Air 2 (64gb), and if I have anything under 8-10gb free, it [almost always] forces me to download the additional data (usu. ~2gb), and *even if it doesn’t*, it runs slow as heck.
You can *probably* get away with only 10-15gb of free space, but 15-20gb is (imho) really the ‘sweet spot’.
It’s been several events since the game allowed me to log in at all… it will not send a validation email to my email like it used to… when I go through customer service THEY automatically send me an email to my correct email based on my loggin…
So I know EA has the right email…

If you got EA Tech Support to send you a verification code to the email you gave them? that means EA knows the verification code system is a continuous problem for those trying to Login …. and I don’t see this changing (I do hope that Tappers can update their Origin Account).
Every one of us has been logged out and faced having to log back in using a verification code (I managed to succeed in a hot minute, but I also took Alissa’s advice by having a desktop or laptop handy on the side – quickly get that verification code and type it in without having to leave the Game App).
Let’s hope you are able to keep on tapping! 😀👍🏻
Couldn’t do any of it as it wouldn’t unlock the new area :(. EA support have been useless so far.
You only unlocked the new area once you had finished the questline
I’m sorry Ben but could you be more specific? EA Tech Support is handy if you are having trouble logging in with the verification code, if you came across a rollback glitch and you lost a lot of content, etc …
Bill is correct in that if you played this Mini Event thru (and completed rebuilding the bridge) then you will have access to the Land Expansion ….. you just need to follow the Questline to unlock New Land Tiles (it’s a simple tutorial, there is more than one way to do this, there’s a longer free way and there’s a quicker 🍩’s way, it’s permanently available so there’s no “I need to get this done ASAP”).
What specifically stopped you from completing this Mini Event, was it a connection issue with the Game App? Network problems can be common, but this doesn’t stop one from having access to the Game App or an entire day.
It has been so long since I purchased land, I forgot how to do it! I didn’t remember you had to tap the 4-arrows icon to see that option. I finally figured it out last night, but it was after the event ended, so I missed purchasing the monorail bridge, since you had to have open land on both sides of the river. D’oh! Hope it comes back!

Great to have the new land, just wish I had not purchased The Prospector. I thought he would be useful with the new land but I was wrong. Oh well it’s just doughnuts and I’m a freemium player. Hope everyone has a wonderful December!
I’m surprised that the decorations left too. It’s not like everyone has unlocked all their new land and designed it the way they wanted yet. (Me, obviously) Do you think it will come back?
I’m sure it’ll come back eventually, but future lesson…anything that arrives with an event leaves with an event. Especially if there’s a timer underneath it.
I’ve been having connection problems the last few days and wasn’t able to enter my Springfield. I am traveling outside my country and don’t have access to my mobile data plan, I’ve been using an eduroam connection, does anyone know if they have some sort of restrictions? I don’t know if it’s my wi-fi connection or the game/servers that are giving me trouble. I wasn’t expecting this and was waiting until the last day to spend my tokens…
This is definitely a Game App where a Wi-Fi Connection (and not the slow free kind that you will find at McDonald’s, or a Motel Room), or a fast 5G Connection (100mbs) with no data restrictions.
But don’t lament, if you completed the Mini Event? If you unlocked the Land Expansion? Then you have ample time to work unlock those New Land Tiles.
As for 🪙’s ? Time’s up and the Black Friday Mystery Boxes are gone (EA doesn’t play around when it comes to “available for a limited time”).
I will admit to getting the Bart Simpson Screen of ☠️ (aka Network Connection problem) at times, but I just took the day off from tapping and catched up the next day ….
When I said restrictions I meant in the sense of what kinds of things I could do using this network, not data restrictions, which I don’t think is the case since I’ve been able to watch Netflix and Disney+ with out any problems. I also play other games on my phone and TSTO is the only one I’m having trouble with.
I know that now the tokens are gone, but I’ve been trying to connect since monday night here (early afternoon in the US I think) :(((
I’ll be away form home for 20 days, half of those in self-isolation, so I really could use this time for my Springfield… But like you said, at least I completed the storyline and unlocked the new land expansion, so I’ll have all the time in the world to get those land tiles.
I still haven’t got a questline to build the bridge, I was hoping there might be a patch update. I have all the prizes and started acquiring land but no bridge
Hi Mike I might be wrong but to get the land the bridge needs to be repaired first so I think this might be the case.

Finished quests, still no bridge, just rope. Hard closed app, started game and bridge was there.
Having so much fun rearranging my Springfield! Thanks EA for the land and increased limit. 🙌🏻 I’ve officially turned “we the north “ into Canada and then the North Pole and Christmas Town and the Rigellian/Alien land. Heaven and Hell may move up there next? 🧐 Just so nice to have choices again 😊
I love the fact that EA finally answered the call and opened up new land and increased the build limit!! It’s been a long time coming. I must have spent the last week rearranging my Springfield. Now I am ready for the next event!!
Has anyone here gotten a second chance to purchase donuts with gold tokens? My husband has gotten it but I have not. It’s good for just another few hours and I am short just one more item—and it is one that I want. I have tried chatting with EA a couple of times. It’s been pretty frustrating. All I want to do is purchase another dozen donuts and get one more gold token.
You have to clear the box to get the option to trade tokens for donuts. Once the event ends, and the box disappears, you should see an option in your store to convert tokens to donuts.
I don’t want any more donuts. The only thing I didn’t get was The Jewish Walk of Fame. All I wanted was one more gold token to be able to get it but I would have to purchase $99 worth of donuts to get any more tokens. My husband had the option to get tokens in a second round of purchases (he had already purchased all but the $99). Since we had both bought the same amount of donuts previously I don’t understand why he got the second round option but I did not.
do you have to redeem all gold box tokens (if you bought donuts for real cash) before the end?… asking for a friend… (I’ve redeemed all my tokens!)
If you want items from the box, yes. If you want to convert to Donuts, no.
But now, the end is near, and simI face, the final curtain🎼
Moving all my pioneer stuff over. Set up a wall of trees, and prepare for something different beyond the greenery.

Isn’t this great having New Land and increased Item Limits? My creativity is back, I wish Ebron would return (as well as other longtime tappers who bailed out for reasons I respect).
I was so happy to see certain returning content – now I truly have a Frontierland (all I need is a Big Thunder Mountain 🚂 ! – seriously Monorails are cool, but an actual 🚂🚃🚃 that moves with railroad track would be nice!)

I’m happy to have Ian! I used the tokens to get s few characters I hadn’t gotten before. It was fun doing their tasks. Love getting new land, too. Really enjoyed the event!
How’s that Character Task with Ian and his VW Bug, does he go after Nelson? I just wanted a character that drives his 🚗 for real (I’m par with Ned Flanders taking his kids on a snowmobile ride – yep that’s a Visual Character Task worth checking out during the December Event).
