It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

No new Simpsons tonight, in fact they won’t be back until the end of February! What’s been your favorite episode of the season so far?
A brand new mini-event hit our games last week, Red Alert! Thoughts on the new mini-event? How far along are you?
We should see a new major event (likely a multi-event) hit our games in early February, thoughts on what type of event you’d like to see?

SOS! i got the Emu experience recently (not int he original run) and all the other zoo items work with placing different animals on them but then i try with the Emu farm and nothing happens. Can anyone help me?
Doing the Joe and Stacy quest line and and laughed out loud when they talked about Northridge Stacy. I live in Northridge!
Hi tappers! Long time player, first time commenter. I was going through my inventory while on quarantine and discovered I have a lot of buildings and characters locked. Over the last couple years I became premium and finally bought everyone. The old character costumes, like stone cutter disco stu, is locked even though now I have disco stu. Is there a way to fix it without involving EA or would I have to contact them. Thank you in advance and thanks for all of the help over the years.
There is a 2,7 GB update, is anyone else getting it?
EA if you are reading this:
1: Can we have some cars on the road
2: Update daily challenges
3: Improve the server connection
4: Cut the sky finger to 12 hours or 8 hours
5: stop the lag/hanging on the employment office
On a plus note events have been good recently, keep up the good work

CJ has point, drivable, tasks in cars moving, not just decorations
Well, this is a game of decorations. Decorating your town to how you like it. I really don’t see the necessity of having moving cars. I mean, when playing the game do you go looking for it and watch it moving around? To me moving cars are just like any other NPC, it gets boring after a while.
Oh, I got a big kick out of my street sweeper going down the streets. Unfortunately, they never fixed the problem of it being drawn to the dirt streets with the wooden borders, and, when I decided to use those in the new Western-type expansion area, I had to finally store it. But I’d love to have other vehicles that characters drive (like the snow plow) actually travel on the roads, instead of half on the sidewalks!
I stored the dirt streets instead of the street sweeper because Nessie was also being drawn there. I don’t look at either of them because I can never find them. Since I don’t play the game as often as I used to and my town is so big, I don’t bother looking for visual tasks anymore. Just clearing my 540+ character jobs is so time consuming I don’t have the time to look around.
Also, movement is fun in the game… that’s why folks like to send their characters on visual tasks! And, also also, I like decorations that do things, like the billboard that counts the days. A totally static Springfield wouldn’t be nearly as fun!

Quite the opposite, sir, your priorities are most cromulent! Like Homer says in the game “Work?! I wish this was a shooter game!”
Over 48 hrs now that I haven’t been able to login to play. Frustrating. Gives me an error message after I input the verify code and just freezes the whole page. Emailed EA who asked me what my error was when I had sent screenshots in the initial email and gave me a troubleshooting link which not a single thing worked to fix the issue because it’s not on my side. Responded back to EA’s email letting them know I sent the error in the initial email and attached the screen shots once again in my response email. Haven’t heard back about a fix yet. In the meantime the minutes are ticking by and now I don’t know if I’ll be able to complete this mini event. I had been working on the 3rd prize when my game stopped working. Anyone else having login issues the last couple days?

Is any one having an issue with the daily Christmas tasks not working at all and freezing the game every time you select a character to complete it? And unable to do the Christmas broadcast task because it not available? Unable to clear the tasks to make room for others.
The Christmas event is long over, so any daily task from that won’t work. If you still have one left over, you’ll need to x it out to get a replacement task.
Anyone else having trouble with Cadet Lisa? Can’t seem to get her quest started.
Same!!! I only bought this skin because I thought she would run around and blast off her gun… But it seems she only does that outside the Rommelwood academy if u also buy the building.. Grrrrrrrr damn EA!

Happy tapping all, tough week last week, very busy at work, Saturday got hit by another car going round a roundabout, driver side a mess, bit sore today, , scary and shocked but alive, have a good week all.

I’m sorry to read another vehicle hit your vehicle (I hope the damage is minor and can be repaired swiftly, most important I hope you are not too injured- I have been rear-ended before and all I have to say is OUCH!)
My sister spent 5 years in Australia and gets frustrated at how people in the US don’t know how to use round abouts.
Sorry this happened. Hope you heal quickly and repairs are minor and the resulting inconvenience is inconsequential.
Aloha TSTO Tappers, Do you want to place vehicles on roads? What about placing certain buildings on river or ice tiles? There are You Tube videos that show you how to do it. Search: tsto cars on roads. I tried it and it works.

Just having Vehicles you can drive on roads with a Character Task would be awesome (dumb Decor doesn’t cut it anymore!) 👍🏻
Happy Sunday all ! I have a question about Prospector Maps – I seem to be collecting more than 1 every 8 hours from the shack plus 5 every 24 hours from Jackpot Realty. Do characters also earn maps when generating land deeds ?
I’ve noticed that. I wish I could figure out what I was doing right so I could get more.
My game was be slow, dragging. Trying to tap and complete character tasks, there was a delay between tapping and the game recognizing this.
I was over the limit, so i stored trees and shrubs and hedges and monorail and fences.
And now the game loads more rapidly, responds well.

Yeah there comes a point when your Springfield is so big that it takes forever to load even if you have lots of RAM and ROM (how do I know it’s Sunday? I almost slept through it – lol!)
