The circus has arrived in Springfield! Well…three of them have arrived! Looking for a freak show? The Burnsum and Bailey Circus is here! Traditional circus? Ding-A-Ling Bros at your service! Feeling fancy? Then Cirque de Puree is for you. But which one will rein supreme? It’s up to you to find out in the latest event in TSTO…Cirque du Springfield!
As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield. So love them, or hate them, they’re still here. So let’s all try to make the best of this…
Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Bart and Milhouse (and remember you have to be on Level 15 and have Marge unlocked to see the event)…
After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Cirque du Springfield Event!
First, remember this was an app store update available for download. So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above (or a variation of it) for your game, or snow in your Springfield head to your app store and update TSTO. You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…

Now on with the details for Act 1!
Here’s EA’s event synopsis:
The Burnsum and Bailey Circus has brought the carnival freak show to Springfield, only to find that the Ding-A-Ling Bros. Circus got here first. Now the two are in direct competition to see who can win the hearts and minds of the locals.
While the two circuses are battling it out, Cirque de Puree arrives and immediately outclasses them both. The two rival circuses must now team up to convince the town that cirques aren’t even circuses and should be driven back to elitist coastal towns where they belong.
We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
Just like every large event recently, this is not your typical Major Event. And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons. And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.
As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event. It’s 5 weeks long, it should be fairly easy to complete, you’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes and no crafting to grind through, so let’s just have some good old-fashioned TSTO fun! And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!
Here’s the event schedule:
Act 1 Starts February 9th (WEDNESDAY)
Act 2 Starts February 18th (FRIDAY)
Act 3 Starts February 27th (SUNDAY)
Act 4 Starts March 8th (TUESDAY)
Event Ends March 16th, 2022 (WEDNESDAY)
As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s. Once completed you’ll start the Super Freak questline, which is the Act 1 story to follow. This is how you’ll unlock the Act 1 prizes.
Note: Some of you have mentioned you are having trouble getting the event to start. You need to download the latest update and the requirements for this are: Level 15 AND have Marge unlocked. It won’t trigger unless you’re there.

Milhouse: Bart, when’s it my turn?
Bart: You’ll get your turn when I say it’s your turn.
Milhouse: I thought when I shared my remote-control airplane, we’d actually SHARE it!
Bart: We ARE sharing it. I get to fly it, and you get to watch me.
Milhouse: Bart, look out! You’re going to crash into that tent! *toy airplane crashes*
Bart: *hands over controller* Okay, NOW it’s your turn.
Burnsum: Confound it. Who barn stormed my big top?! I forbid any looky-loos looky-looing at my extravaganza!
Bart: Extravaganza? What the heck is this?
Burnsum: Only the most popular circus in the world. The Burnsum and Bailey Circus!
Bart: Sure it is, P.T. Blowhard.
Burnsum: You’ll dance to a different calliope when you see the greatest freak show on Earth!
Bart: Freak show?! I’m in!

And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…
(and yes, just like I did for the past multi-events, I’ll be posting full dialogue for this one before the next act starts)
Now let’s talk about what’s included…
Here’s the Act 1 Synopsis from EA:
The Burnsum and Bailey Circus arrives in Springfield, ready to delight the locals with its carnival freak show. With Burnsum’s headline attraction at the helm, the trapezing Marguerite, Springfield is quickly swept up with circus fever.
Everyone in town is now talking about Burnsum’s circus and things are looking up for the old-timey ringmaster, that is until the Ding-A-Ling Bros. Circus steps in. They declare that Springfield was theirs first, and vow to drive Burnsum and Bailey out of town to regain their circus monopoly.
DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.
I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this. So don’t forget to SCROLL!

You might want to update the targets shown above after EA messed up and put part 2 as the part 3 target, part 3 as the part 4 target and part 4 as the part 5 target along with part 5.

Errrmmm, OK – I’m doing the opposite of rushing and part 3 does show as collect 115. Oddly my info elsewhere is still showing as mis-matched but perhaps they fixed it another way ?!?

At first, I wasn’t too excited about a Circus theme… but then looking at the fun of design, I changed my mind! With the new land accruing in the frontier, I don’t have to worry about running out. So I decided to have a little fun in my new land! I used Krusytland sidewalks for ground and worked buildings around that. I wish we could purchase circus animals like elephants (did I miss them?). I added the cotton candy and fried dough stands. Also when cleaning up new frontier land, selling back the donut veins is a pain, you have to find each one individually in inventory. At least the new trees in inventory, stay on them until all are sold and inventory cleaned out. I am enjoying decorating my new land!
FINALLY!! They finally fixed the upper leftmost and upper rightmost buttons on iOS so that they are not partially hidden by the curvature of the screen on iPhone’s!! A-freaking-mazing. Took long enough! LOL
Only 3 things in my mystery box, items that I’ve already passed on before, but pleasantly surprised to see a few things in returning content I missed out on: the Ba’al Pit, Pies for Guns and the Mermaid Petting Zoo. I’m good with that.
Since a lot of the traditional Valentine stuff is already in the mystery box, I doubt I might finally get Mrs. Scratchy in a Valentine store, but hope springs eternal.

So yeah there’s a glitch, thank you to Alissa for posting a link that Tappers can go to help EA know what’s going on (trust me! this glitch has gotten Tappers irate on the TSTO Facebook page, so EA knows what is going on!) When in doubt? take time off from Tapping …. ☺️🤘🏻
Or maybe just play at …regular…pace, and the glitch may be resolved even before being noticed.
Will there be any coins for Mystery Box as prizes or do you have to buy all the coins?
Having the same problem with Part 3. “Storage full”at 115 so can’t proceed. How do you spend peanuts?

Game has an error, message of storage full on obtaining the 3rd prize, cannot complete beyond 144 donuts out of the 155 required,

Stupid question, does the * mean the prize is also potentially available in yearbook?

Where is the Mystery Box? I don’t see it, and I don’t think I have _all_ of the items listed as in there. Or does the Mystery Box content get released a few items at a time, and it only appears when “new-to-me” content is available?
If you don’t see it, you have everything in it.
I tried contacting EA directly, you now have to use social media and have your message mixed up with everybody else’s. Can’t believe they fell that low!
Bright side, someone figured out a way around the glitch where it says your storage is overloaded and you can’t finish the prize track. Find the characters manually, their jobs are still listed. Then they show up on the prize track properly. It lets you move on from there!

I’m stuck at Super Freak Part 3. It asks for 155 circus peanuts but limits you to collecting 115 peanuts and says your peanuts storage is full. Is there a way around this?
Are the Frontier monorail bridges new to the game? I didn’t notice them before.
They were released in the Northward Bound minievent.
By “bridges” I take it that “tunnels” are what is meant – if not, where are the bridges?

I meant bridges that the monorail can cross the gorge into the new frontier. I found them first in the premium group (Homer Buddha) and then buried in the decorations group. 20 doughnuts per rail bridge with a maximum of 4 that can be bought.

Where do you use the circus peanuts at?
I think there might be a bug for the 3rd decoration. It needs 155 peanuts, but I was getting “storage full” for characters after collecting 115 peanuts. It’s kind of hard to explain.
Basically, I lucked out that after passing 115, I still had enough other characters ‘in queue’ to reach 155.
I ran into the same thing, but wasn’t lucky enough to be able to get to 155 guess I’m stuck until they fix it..
This happened to me today too! I can’t get passed this bug either. After collecting 115 peanuts it says full storage and won’t let me collect any more currency to complete part 4 in the main quest line
OK. It happens for the next decoration too except the numbers are 155 and 195 think. Luckily you can gather more resources by hunting down the characters manually and setting them on their peanuts task.
i got the same glitch!!! and i can’t move past now 🙁
same here, but I got stuck at 152, no idea how to get past this as I have yet to figure out where to spend these peanuts other than event currency
the issue is with prise 3 and 4 once you get to the last set of tasks to get to the final amount it says storage full
All you have to do if tap on he character icon in the upper left and the task is available you can then tap on the task and it will activate
Depending on how many peanuts you need to finish for that prize.. you may only need one or two characters to get the prize..
Same thing happens in prize 4 … so do the same thing.
Seems that that prize 5 doesn’t have this issue and you can play normally.
I wish EA had converted the Strongman Homer costume into a separate character. Bugs me that the Burns, Marge, and Nelson ones are not handled the same.
Of course there was the same different handling issue with Mrs Glick/Hot Flash vs Grampa and Moleman costumes.
The programming to split Strongman into a separate character probably would have been a mess. 😥

Event Ends February 16th !?! – D’oh !!
