It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I’m not sure if this is the proper platform for my gripe, but here goes. My land expansion has never worked. I can only send one character a day to explore. When it first started, I bought land and got zero donuts. EA team has given me the runaround and came up with no solution. Does anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it? I hope you are all having a great day!

I take it that you are tapping on the rocks to get your Donuts .

Yes, I am tapping on rocks for donuts. All of my characters are still 0-3 donuts. Sometimes it jumps to 2-3. The mining shack does not produce deeds.
The Shack takes 8 hours to produce a Map, so maximum without rushing is 3 Maps a day.
You need 3 Maps to send a character on an 8 hour task to produce a Deed to put towards the cost of buying the new land. You use the Shack to set these tasks and earn Deeds.
When you buy a new tile there’s a glowing rock pile that when tapped will produce a random amount of donuts, and for those with issues around color vision there’s also a floating pickaxe icon on the rocks that can be tapped.
The average is about 11 Ds, but that’s because most are only a small amount and then sometimes you get a big hit, up to 100 sprinkles
Thank you. When the land expansion first began, were you able to send all characters to explore or just one at a time?
You need to have enough maps to send a character. It takes 3 maps to send a character on the 8hr task to earn 1 deed, the deeds are what unlocks the land. You can send multiple characters to earn deeds (the 8hr tasks) as long as you have enough maps. If you don’t have enough maps you can only send the amount of characters that you have enough maps for. So if you have 3 maps, you an only send 1 character on the 8hr task to earn deeds, until you’ve accumulated 3 more maps.
When you first got the Shack it came with a few Maps to start you off so you could send more than one character even though the questline only needed you to send one. It doesn’t make any difference if once they’ve gone you send one character every time you’ve got 3 Maps or save them up and send a few characters every few days. It would still take at least a week to get enough Maps to set tasks to earn 7 Deeds.

Got an Android update this morning, and then when opening TSTO, it prompted me for a 2+GB update, which I did. That caused my town to be completely zoomed in, which is not fun. Launched it again 4 hours later (event time!), and there was another 1+GB update. Anyone else experiencing this? Still downloading the second update, so I have no idea if I still have the zoom problem.
And magically, the problem resolved itself when I opened the game just now. Guess the game was feeling lonely, since I haven’t had any real game issues in a while. *knock on wood*

I agree and that’s why I have finally come to the conclusion during a Multi Act Event? I may like an Act’s entire Prizes, or just a few, or I may skip an entire Act (and it’s okay since there is plenty of New Content to enjoy).
It’s on par with the Premium Combos / Gil Deal (I may like it, I may not). I’m fine if I actually take a break from Tapping because I don’t care for an entire Act (and that’s what I am doing). 👍🏻

That is the problem. I was never able to send all characters when it first began. I assume that I should have been able to because I would have needed 50.
