Hell on Wheels is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Rev those engines Tappers because Hell on Wheels has arrived! Which car will be the king of the derby?  Well, it’s up to you to find out in TSTO’s latest update…Hell on Wheels! As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield.  So love them, or hate them, they’re still here.  So let’s all try to make the best of this…

Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Homer and Marge…

After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Hell on Wheels Event!

First, remember this was an app store update available for download.  So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above (or a variation of it) for your game, or snow in your Springfield head to your app store and update TSTO.  You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…

Now on with the details for Act 1!

Here’s EA’s event synopsis:

When Homer’s car breaks down and dies for real, Homer happily piles the family into Marge’s wagon
and sets out on a quest to buy a new car. Unfortunately, Homer’s credit quickly rules out “new” and possibly even “car”. From Kliff’s Kar Chalet to the Auto Yard to Crazy Vaclav’s Place of Automobiles to the Springfield Auto Show, Homer’s dreams of a new car he can be proud of come to naught.

Homer’s problem is solved when he receives a self-driving smart car from the CarGo company as part of a special promotion. While Homer and Marge are off celebrating their good fortune at dinner, Bart tricks the smart car into driving him and Lisa around town. Unfortunately, Bart’s constant gibes at the smart car cause it to attempt to prove its automotive superiority by driving them straight into the middle of the Springfield Demolition Derby!

We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.

Just like every large event recently, this is not your typical Major Event.  And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons.  And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.

As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event.  It’s 5 weeks long, it should be fairly easy to complete, you’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes and no crafting to grind through,  so let’s just have some good old-fashioned TSTO fun! And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!

Here’s the event schedule:

Act 1 Starts April 13th (WEDNESDAY)
Act 2 Starts April 22nd  (FRIDAY)
Act 3 Starts May 1st (SUNDAY)
Act 4 Starts May 10th (TUESDAY)

Event Ends May 18th, 2022 (WEDNESDAY)

As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s.   Once completed you’ll start the Of Clunkers and Junkers questline, which is the Act 1 story to follow.  This is how you’ll unlock the Act 1 prizes.

End of the Road

Marge: As soon as we get home, I have some chores for you.
Homer: Are they real jobs or just those six second thingies?
Marge: Homer, what’s that clunking noise?
Homer: I’m probably having another heart attack. Let me pull into Flanders’ driveway and you can use his defibrillator on me. Then a couple weeks of paid time off thanks to Obamacare and I’ll hatch a new get-rich-quick scheme and—
Marge: I don’t think that’s your heart. I think it’s the car.
Homer: The car? We can’t afford that! It’s gotta be my heart! Give me ten ccs of pork rinds, stat!
Make Homer Try to Induce a Heart Attack– 6s
Make Marge Take Away the Pork Rinds- 6s

And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…

(and yes, just like I did for the past multi-events, I’ll be posting full dialogue for this one before the next act starts)

Now let’s talk about what’s included…

Here’s the Act 1 Synopsis from EA:

When Homer’s car starts making strange noises, and Marge convinces him it’s not his heart, Homer
takes his car to a garage to get it checked out, where it promptly dies (the car, not his heart). Homer
leads the family on a quest to find his new car. Their first stop is Kliff’s Kar Chalet, where Kliff quickly
talks Homer into agreeing to buy a ridiculously overpriced and over-accessorized truck, but when Kliff runs credit, he sends the Simpsons away to  someplace that he says is more in their price range: the Auto Yard, which is basically just a dump.

DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.  

I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this.  So don’t forget to SCROLL!

Each Act will have a new premium character that will earn event currency.  From what I can see, based on the info from EA, characters will be used throughout the entire event.  So Act 1 will be used in Act 2, 3, and 4…etc.

I’ll be honest with you guys…I’m just short on time and something has to give.  So it’s going to be linking the returning content.
