Should You Buy Truckasaurus II?

(Just a side note here…if anyone in the US is willing to go to Costco and look to see if they have baby formula for me please email me at Alissa@tstoaddicts.com.  Our Costco’s are completely sold out, and obviously baby Teddy needs formula as he’s only 6 months old…thank you!)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Spending actual cash on donuts for an item is once again here in TSTO.  This is something EA’s been rolling out over the last few years, and it’s a new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them)  Where they attach a limited-time, item to one of the donut bundles sometimes in addition to bonus donuts.

And I want to be perfectly clear…you do not need to buy these items for the event itself.  You can still play this game, and complete all the tasks and prizes, 100% free.  These cash-for-items are a new type of premium currency…because donuts have been so devalued with donut farming.

This time around we’re being offered Truckasurus II, for a tray of 132 Donuts ($9.99 in the US)..no bonus this time around.  While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of the plow and anything else you might be curious about.

So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy…

So what is the deal?  When you can find it in the Currency Tab of your Store (also by hitting Get More)…

Basically, spend $9.99 on a Tray of 132 donuts and you get Truckasurus II, a decoration. (+ 3 Shattered Dreams Mystery Box tokens)

And yes, for those outside of the US I know my price is probably lower than yours.  EA only charges 9.99 USD for this package…anything over that that you are currently paying goes to Google/Apple/Amazon for Tax and Duty etc.  EA only collects the 9.99.

Just going to put this out there now…this should NOT be offered at the $9.99 price point.  At best this is a $1.99 item, in my opinion.

So here’s a breakdown on Truckasurus II…

-Decoration for Springfield
-Instant Build
-Earns NOTHING
-Improves Indolence +20
-Can Be placed on grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt
-Animated when tapped
-No task associated with it

I know I don’t normally give my opinion on these type of items, but it has to be said… DO NOT BUY THIS!  Save your money, this is a complete waste of space in this game.

That’s pretty much it on Truckasurus II.

What are your thoughts on the Truckasurus II?  Have you made the purchase?  Will you be making the purchase?  Sound off below you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Next time we go to Costco, I will look. A word of advice: when we are looking for our formula (Enfamil), we always check the Costco website as well. Sometimes the stuff comes into stock online briefly, and it’s usually free shipping for members. Also, the website may tell you what other stores do have it in stock, and you may be able to pick up.
Best of luck! This formula shortage is really terrible.

    • We use the Costco Brand…trust me I check their website like a hawk every hour just in case it comes back in stock. It’s been out of stock for days.
If you see it over the next couple of weeks, just grab a can for us. No need to double-check with me. Then email me (Alissa@TSTOAddicts.com) and I’ll get you squared away with $ and shipping. Worst case, if I end up with too much (which I doubt will happen with how hard it has been to find), I’ll donate the extra. Thank you!

Absolutely disgusting some people go to make a buck, hope you got the formula you needed for baby, panic buyers and profiteering make me sick.

  3. Believe it or not…my heart sunk a little when I read the side note to start. It’s extremely disheartening to hear and see these stories regarding formula. When a plant (Abbot) that creates 40-50% of a particularly important product in our country gets shut down by the FDA because of strict regulations…which is good!!….it should be opened up very fast again when a crisis such as this occurs. It hasn’t happened. Honest to Goodness..Alissa..hopefully not being offensive here..a prayer is going out to you tonight…and all Mothers struggling right now. In our great country…this is reprehensible and a shame.

And no….don’t spend actual cash on this item.

    • It is the worst feeling in the world to walk into a store where you get formula every week and them to be completely sold out. Not one brand anywhere. Gut wrenching

I read never comment but, I saw Similac on Amazon today. I have not had a need in years but, I was curious what the price was. Do you have a certain kind you are looking for? I go to BJ’s I can look there. I hope you get all you need. Thank you for all you do.

    • We use the Costco brand (kirkland) called ProCare. I just hesitate to switch him as we’ve had issues in the past. We have enough for a few weeks but we’re going to really have a problem very soon.

  5. Hard pass..I don’t even have truckasaurus out…

  6. Truckasurus II + 132 Donuts + 3 Shattered Dreams 🪙’s ($9.99)

I get it, EA wants your 💰 ….. which is fine if they offered something that was worth your 💵’s (this to me is a $1.99, not a $9.99!) …. if you got space for it? if you want it? have fun with it (I’m still having fun with that CarGo Building and 2 Characters!)

Happy Friday the 13th (please do your part to help those in need of baby formula – we did here in Southern Nevada, but it disappoints me that people are exploiting the situation by trying to sell baby formula online at ridiculous prices!)

    • It makes me so incredibly sick to see Formula on ebay for 2-3x the cost. Disgusting and those people doing it should be thrown in jail.

      • Price gougers are reprehensible, I agree. Sometimes they get their comeuppance, though, when they overbuy and the availability suddenly returns to the stores and they’re stuck with a large inventory they can no longer sell. Fingers crossed!

      • Agree. For those on WIC the government might have some for you. Also if you are an illegal immigrant the government has pallets of formula for your babies. Heard on the radio old times (1950s) used evaporated milk, so expect a shortage on that. “The recipe calls for 13 ounces of evaporated milk, 20 ounces of water, and 2 level teaspoons of Karo syrup to be heated together and divided into 6 bottles”. Best of luck in finding what you need. *BTW 2 to 3 times the price might become reasonable given the alternative of driving around trying to find some and considering the price of gas.

  7. Wow… you totally caught me off guard when you veered a hard left off of the usual template for cash-based should-I-buys.

  8. If this was more around the £5 mark I might have considered it. But as it is I completely agree a complete waste of money that will hopefully show up in a mystery box one day
