It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Hell on Wheels is officially over in TSTO, time for something new to arrive! We should see a new update (mini-event likely) on Wendesday. What do you think we’ll see?

I just downloaded an update in Google Play Store (at least it changed the splash screen!) I’ll let Alissa n’ Safi confirm anything else but please be aware they both have family’s 1st! 😀👍🏻

Eventually got 1 token from a daily challenge for the 1 remaining item in the shattered dream box Hans mech but will have to wait 12hours as everyone in tasks 😜 🏴🇺🇦🤓
Well, I went crazy and bought up the entire Shattered Dreams Box. This game truly is “life ruining fun” as advertised. I couldn’t help but bust out laughing when I got the Soilant Red Factory!
Oh well, Maybe I could be like Homer and blame it on the kids…
The season finale was also funny! I heard something that the show might be going off the air soon after 33 seasons. They’ve had a good run. Back when I was a kid. Bart was my favorite. Now that I’m an adult it’s Homer. I kinda hope that I wind up like Grandpa when I retire. Grandpa’s cool.
Here’s hoping that our game isn’t going anywhere… I’ve already been screwed by Family Guy and the Archie game. G’rrrrrr!
We got a 34th Season greenlit , Aaron, but nothing has been renewed after next year ….. unless Team Disney Burbank tells FOX ‘yeah go ahead and add another Season!’ (hey it sounds like you got plenty of nice Content from that Mystery Box!) 😀👍🏻
Hello! I’ve been stuck for a while with this: recently I unlocked Mr burns cyborg and smithers dog. I’ve started the questline and when the game told me, I have to send Homer to work at the nuclear plant it doesn’t appear the job. I don’t know what to do, hopefully someone else managed to solve it, and give me a hand on this 🙁

EA know about this and are working to fix it. Sadly there doesn’t seem to be any way to get round it so you’ll just need to leave it for now until that fix comes out. With any luck that’ll be in time for the next update which is only a few days away now but I haven’t heard anything definite on it yet, sorry 😞
Keep using the task book. Sometimes your characters are involved with a separate task and unless you eat a few donuts then you’ll have to wait until the timer runs out.

Nope, unfortunately. The problem is for the questline task Population Control Pt.6 it simply isn’t anywhere to be found in the list of available jobs for Homer.
Sadly there isn’t a way to get round that until EA figure out why and solve it.
I’m really hoping that in future you can pick what you want in the Shattered Dreams Box. I would buy more tokens if I could pick what I want. I’m not going to gamble that much money on stuff I don’t want or need. If I could pick what I want I would buy as much as needed for what my idea is for my Springfield.
Has there ever been any word from EA on the fourth and last(?) Prize on the Roads to Riches tab? I had almost forgotten it but then I saw the posts here on in game cash and it started me wondering.

Any ideas if the contents of the shattered dreams box will change between events? I have four tokens and lots if items in my box but there is only ONE thing I want, whichbis the robot. Everything else Ive chosen not to buy because I didn’t want it, and I still don’t. It’s currently not worth the gamble that I get the only desirable item because the odds are so low. If there were mire things I wanted, I’d go for it.
It’s supposed to based on the wording…but in reality we have no idea.

If you did not completely finish the Hell on Wheels event, you won’t see the box appear. They’ll just be saved until the next time.

Yea, no one really knew how it would play out as it was the first one. BUT the good news is you’ll get another chance after the next event (at least that’s how it’s supposed to work)
Good evening everyone, I hope you all are having a good day, question, I have some characters that apparently aren’t of the population of Springfield of the top of head some are Young Homer, Brittany Brockman, Santa Little Helper, and some others that I can’t remember right now, it seems that every time I have to send the characters to do a daily task I can’t assign them to do the task, how can I fix the problem? Can the glitch be fixed?

EA decides the groups, think I have about 23 that aren’t classed as Springfielders and that’s just the way it is unless they decide to change it and include them.

All of the characters, pets, monsters here all all from an episode or, a few episodes of the show. Santa’s Little Helper is obviously the dog that’s in every other episode. Unless you have a certain character unlocked or, if a character is involved in a task then that character won’t be able to do the certain task until it comes available. You can always send a character back into inventory if you don’t want it.

I just hit the game max cash. So what are those of you that have already hit that mark doing about it? Buying stuff? What? Just collecting xp for donuts? Other thoughts?
Once you’ve hit level 939, there’s not much use for IGC anyway. Yes, I still collect XP for donuts. My cash goes down under the max temporarily (like, for a couple of minutes) when I play the Where’s Maggie game, or just the regular bonus box runs, when I pay to try another box, but, after collecting a few buildings or tasks, it generally maxes right out again. At this point, I pay pretty much no attention whatsoever to the IGC I have.

Collect xp…nothing else to do with the cash. Maybe they should come up with some funny tasks for characters…like Mr. Burns could “burn 1 million dollars to start the fireplace”….or some bum could “burn some $$ to stay warm”…Otto could “search for oz of latest strain”‘…etc…

Depends if it bothers you or if your happy to tap for the XP. Also depends how much time you want to put into it, doing like the prompt says and buying tons of trucks or even use those Aspirational Buildings and keep selling ’em when they’re cooked.
I spent 2 months churning through KB Rigs and managed to get all the way down to $38 !! Didn’t take long to get maxed out again so I’ll be getting another 750 or so of ’em over the next few days as I wrap up an insane grinding target and then I’m gutting a 16,600% bonus and letting the collider run out so I can tickle by at $1billion and about 15 Ds a day.
( posted a screenshot on the Forum recently, not at my target but couldn’t pass up a pic of 1,111,111 Ds !! 😊 )

i got Robo Burns and the Population Control #6 is Make Homer do a plant shift. It is not an option for Homer. Any suggestions? Thanks for all you do 🙂

I really appreciate your “should I spend donuts on…” features. Have you ever thought about revisiting those that are in the Yearbook Mystery Box? To give an updated “should I bother?” There are TONS of great characters and %bonuses that at full donut price weren’t worth it, but NOW at 30 donuts might just be a way better deal.
I have a lot of thoughts..unfortunately with 3 kids, a full time job, and a lot of volunteer work unfortunately i have zero time. I’m lucky when I find the time to get posts written for current events (and lately those have been going up later than I’d like). Just not enough hours in the day…
But I will say my opinion hasn’t changed on items. If I liked it then I still like it now and if I hated it then I still hate it now.
I completely understand… (To clarify.. I’m a reference nerd I guess and it was more about seeing the data of cost, bonus% etc spelled out etc.) I appreciate your work! Thank you the response!

watch those TSTO Addicts YouTube videos and you will see Safi n’ Alissa still have the same opinions regarding what they like and dislike (actually? watch ’em because who can say “no!” to a Saturday Smiles) 😀👍🏻
You could always just ask about an item or character in any of these posts…I’m sure people would be glad to give their opinion on if it worth getting or not..or provide other details.
