Get those doggie treats ready Tappers because Dog Days has arrived! Which pup will be the king of the kennel? Well, it’s up to you to find out in TSTO’s latest update…Dog Days! As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, Alissa will be posting it as each week wraps up…
Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield. So love them, or hate them, they’re still here. So let’s all try to make the best of this…
Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Homer, Chief Wiggum, Lou, and Eddie…
After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Dog Days Event!
First, remember this was an app store update available for download. So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above (or a variation of it) for your game, head to your app store and update TSTO. You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…

Now on with the details for Act 1!
Here’s EA’s event synopsis:
With the Springfield Police Department’s abysmal arrest rate of late, Wiggum decides to bring on a fleet
of police dogs and get them trained up for taking down perps. He hires Emily Winthrop and her Canine College to do the training, but her methods are so effective that before long the dogs are practically running the place and Wiggum has lost control of the department. The folks of Springfield are all too happy with the results of the new all-canine police force, run by Bart’s old dog Laddie and his second-in-command Rosa Barks. That is, until the dogs start to abuse the power vested in them, locking up anyonewho refuses to give treats, and planting evidence of chewed up homework on humans to deflect blame from dogs. Elaine Wolff, from the Dognitive Behavioral Therapy Institute, is brought in to help find a solution to the pooch problem. But before long the entire police department is locked in a kennel and Springfield is living in a dog police state!
We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
Just like every large event recently, this is not your typical Major Event. And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons. And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.
As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event. It’s 5 weeks long, it should be fairly easy to complete, you’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes and no crafting to grind through, so let’s just have some good old-fashioned TSTO fun! And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!
Here’s the event schedule:
Act 1 Starts June 15th (WEDNESDAY)
Act 2 Starts June 24th (FRIDAY)
Act 3 Starts July 3rd (SUNDAY)
Act 4 Starts July 12th (TUESDAY)
Event Ends July 20th, 2022 (WEDNESDAY)
As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s. Once completed you’ll start the Of New Dogs on the Block questline, which is the Act 1 story to follow. This is how you’ll unlock the Act 1 prizes.

Tuesday June 21 3pm and an auto update just loaded on my iPhone. The NPCs are no longer prompting for assigned task. Hopefully all issues are now resolved.
Is there a task for anyone at the Pet Costumes by Carolyn building?

SECOND UPDATE: I have a new update regarding playing TSTO on my iPad. The McGriff Donut Bundle is now available to me when I access the TSTO game on my iPad. I don’t know if this discovery applies to any other players who are using iOS devices, but I just thought that I should share this discovery with everyone.
Since I have not seen any definitive evidence of EA giving us a hot fix to the game regarding the McGriff Donut Bundle, I can only assume that the appearance of the McGriff Donut Bundle in the game on my iPad is probably the result of someone at EA probably accidentally programming an incorrect release date for Bundle into the iOS version of the TSTO game. I hope this helps other players who are having problems regarding this Bundle.

My donuts have disappeared! Says that I have 12 and when I shut it down I had over 7700!!! how do I get them back?

Yes, many people. If you don’t have him, wait until Act 3.
Why do we have to wait until Act 3 to acquire McGriff? I thought that super premiums (what I call premium content that is purchased through real money) are usually available, at least lately, at the start of Act 1 of these multi events.

This has nothing to do with anything, but has anyone out there successfully pulled off a…what I call a “Bartleby”….anyone at all. I’m getting to that point..”I refuse to”…. There must be some others out there like me….it’s getting tiresome for real. Oh how I wish to be like Bartleby”….employees…Moms, Dads….oh to be a lowly scrivener….and just refuse….can we all just refuse?
Act 1 has a decent Prize Track , I got McGriff + 132 🍩’s (that will probably be my only Premium Content for this Event, I’m just not interested in the rest!) – but I read a lot of you having problems with iOS related devices (iPad / iPhone). I strongly encourage every Tapper having a glitch to please contact EA at TSTO Help Page ….. you could rant on the official Facebook Page, but please don’t get into trouble on Facebook – the most important thing is to let EA know what’s going on so that they can send out a patch upload fix. I’m enjoying the character dialogue
Sorry for the stupid question but how does one contact EA? I have gone round and round the pages and it keeps directing me to the help centre despite there being no answers to my query on McGruff and no option to raise a case.
Quite annoying. Got logged off of the game. Tried to use the stupid code via email… gives me an error saying it is wrong even though it is right. Dejavu of a few months ago all over again
I’ve had that happen to me when I can’t use a secondary mobile device to retrieve the code from my email. I recommend that you tap the verify button again after it gives you the error message. That method has worked for me to get around the code verification error message when logging into TSTO.
I was able to purchase McGriff. And I got Laddie. 🐶

Don’t blame yourself, Safi. Blame EA for tempting us players with releasing a highly desired character in a broken game update that is preventing some players from being able to acquire that character.

I skipped what’s not worth it – especially when I have the Simpsons arcade 1up – can’t say I’m interested in any of the premium character combos , just McGriff and thank you Safi (this Character was a favourite from the Bracket Battle Royale!)
I play TSTO on more than one device with the same game account. The same thing about the McGriff Donut Bundle is happening to me when I access the game on my iPad. I don’t know yet what to expect the next time I access the game on my Android device.
UPDATE: the McGriff Donut Bundle is available to me when I access TSTO on my Android device, but not on my iPad. Unfortunately, that means that I am unable to purchase the Bundle until EA fixes the glitch that is keeping the Bundle from being available to me, and any other players who are using iOS devices. The reason being because I’m no longer able to make in app purchases with my Android device due to stupidity on Google’s part.

Nope, I was mistaken. Thought the go to tab meant McGriff was available. But I clicked on it and the donut tray isn’t there.
I have the NPC glitch, but I also have McGriff.
No lumpy in my whacking day bundle!
Tip for people looking for quick cash with this event (not for the level 900s lol). DON’T complete all 4 of the initial 6 second tasks right away. Just have 3 out of the 4 characters do it. Then you can have those same 3 characters collectively earning $105 every 6 seconds (which means $1050 every minute). Just do this for a few minutes and you’ll have several thousand dollars. Once all 4 characters complete the task, the 6s task goes away, so you don’t get to do this again until the next event.
You can do this at anytime using Moe in his Clockwork Orange get-up (moog) performing the quick in and out job at the Kwick-e Mart.

Ok, so besides the fact that EA basically cut and paste an Old Splash Screen from Thanksgiving (lol – when you have a 6.8 screen device and the Splash Screen only covers 6.1? then you know it’s an old splash screen being reused!) it appears they have plenty of snafo’s to correct . give them time to push through those patch downloads (and feel free to join in on the official Facebook page ’cause when EA is L-EA-Z-Y they deserve to be playfully heckled!) 😅
Same for me. No McGriff and NPCs all appearing for tasks and nothing happens when you click.

Bulldozersaurus is glitching. I got it from the mystery box. Click it and nothing.
It’s not just the bulldozersaurus. All the npc’s from the mystery box have this glitch (wisecracking parrot, darwin fish, baby t-rex, flying brachiosaurus). You get a task to tap them, but nothing happens when you do. Quite annoying, as I don’t like having too many tasks in my taskbook 🙂 I suppose (or rather hope) this will be fixed eventually.
Donuts in the store do not contain shattered tokens anymore after the update
I noticed that, too …. but that will not deter me from using the $4 discount I have at the Google Play Store (so McGriff + 132 🍩’s will be $5) 😀
From what I understand the Shattered Dreams Box will come back after this event with new content. Not sure if we will get the chance to get coins in a daily challenges.

Even though I had watched the event video. It was really great when things started happening.😏 yesterday early afternoon, when I first opened the game I got a biiiiig download.
So did some Springfield housekeeping, closed the game and then remembered I had to open up the game again cause I’d forgotten to feed doughnuts to thee generator or whatever it’s called.
And there it was….. In all its colorful glory 🎶 🎆 🎉…..the new splash screen.
So this morning I released the characters necessary to play the new quest. Closed the game, did what I had to do. Waited with bated breath and at 10 : 55, reopened game did some stuff when all of a sudden …….the dialogue began. So I am really happy that all is well.
No glitches or problems thus far.

Glitches, bugs, oh my! Many NP animals now appear available for tasks but nothing happens when clicked. Also, as already noted, no McGriff bundle in the store.
