Dog Days Act 4 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

🎶Who let the Dogs out? Who, who, who, who, who? 🎶

Get those doggie treats ready Tappers because Dog Days Act 3 has arrived! Which pup will be the king of the kennel?  Well, it’s up to you to find out in TSTO’s latest update…Dog Days! As always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, Alissa will be posting it as each week wraps up…

Remember, all 4 Acts will still be playable until the event ends on July 20th.

Anywho….things kick off with an auto-triggered series of dialogue…

After you’ve completed the initial dialogue, you’ll kick off the Dog Days Act 4 Event!

Now on with the details for Act 4!

Here’s EA’s Act 3 synopsis:

Lisa tries to convince her family to care that they are, once again, living in a doggie dystopia, but after
three previous takeovers, it seems that they can’t seem to muster the energy to care anymore. But Lisa has a trick up her sleeve, and tells Homer that if he helps Wiggum, Wiggum might be willing to cancel all his outstanding parking tickets. Homer is immediately on board with her, and Bart suddenly is too, as he has an extreme fear of missing out.
However, their desire to free the city from the paws of their doggie overlords leaves Santa’s Little Helper
in a moral dilemma. Does he help his family to overthrow the dogs, or does he stay true to Rosa Barks, his love? Seeing his state, Lisa convinces her family to take him to see Lionel Budgie, the city’s
Veterinarian, who informs them that he’s either torn between two loves or has a bad case of
indigestion. But their concern helps Santa’s Little Helper make a decision, and he leads the family to the dog’s greatest enemy and their source of salvation. With his help, the Simpsons rally the people of Springfield and march on the Police Station. And as Laddie comes out to gloat and dismiss them, the people of Springfield…pull out their vacuum cleaners. The dogs, seeing their mortal enemies, take flight, and Springfield is saved.

We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.

As I stated above, once you go through the initial dialogue, you’ll start the Of All the World’s a Cage questline, which is the Act 4 story to follow.  This is how you’ll unlock the Act 4 prizes.

Act 4 Currency:

Tinkle in the Wind (Decoration)- All the World’s a Cage Pt. 1 and 125

Puppy Gap (Building)- All the World’s a Cage Pt. 2 and 125

  1. Is anyone having any game glitches? I haven’t been able to get into my game for days, weirdly on my phone and my iPad. I thought that might suggest a system problem rather than just an issue with my game.

    • Whenever I can’t get into the game an uninstall/reinstall of the game usually works for me.

      • I tried that and unfortunately it didn’t work 🙁 I’ve contacted EA but they want me to give them my player ID from inside the game which is impossible since I can’t get in the game. When I try the app instantly disappears. Looks like the event will be over before I can get back in.

  2. Anyone else running into a glitch where the characters will not complete one of the challenges? I sent a bunch of characters to complete the “Send Springfielders to watch it all on TV” challenge and they are all stuck. For example it shows Apu is ready to collect but I cannot get him out of the challenge

  3. I got the DVM and it says the DMV is across the street. So I went to look if I could place it nearby the DMV. And Insaw that the DMV is the first one. We had to upgrade it. It was a lot of work. And it is gone? I think it is because one buys the DVM?

Nearly all buildings, glad when this event is over, I can remember when I held on to the last second of fun for some events, not now big disappointment for the last act.

    • Agreed.

The event overall wasn’t terrible for me, but this last act of all dog stores doesn’t really interest me. Also think dog heaven and hell would have been better served as actual buildings instead of Puppy Gap.

I’ll still complete it tho and move along..

    • Yea..new buildings? Who needs them…they should not have any new buildings. Why would they have buildings as a prize in a game where creating a town is part of the goal? What towns, cities, population centers, areas of interest , ..etc …have buildings? That’s so strange?….in this type of game…to have buildings(?)..BUILDINGS!…in a game designed around “The building, or “creation”, of a personal town of “SPRINGFIELD”!!….ah…who needs buildings?…..jeez

Alissa, this response Mike has put on in replying to bboyheat opinion on act 4 seams to me to be a little strong and somewhat aggressive towards bboyheat, this is a friendly forum but sometimes I am a bit shocked buy some of the posts that appear here and becoming more unfriendly towards others who post here.

        • 🤷‍♀️ it’s sarcasm. It’s not violating any rules…it’s just sarcasm. I know you and Mike have issues with each other…but I can’t police everything. Sometimes just roll your eyes and move on…and that applies to everyone.

          • I appreciate that..and understand I often ride the line, it’s nothing personal to anyone..and I often roll my own eyes at things said. But to complain about buildings!….I had to say something…..I think in the next event, they should start taking away unused land..take away land from people that don’t put any buildings on empty land. Pretty stupid right? It’s literally one of those “Hello!..Hello?…McFly!!…anyone there?…why have buildings in a town/city designing game?

    • I am happy with what I obtained over 3 Acts …. and I feel like 3 Acts over 24 Days would’ve been enough to conclude this Multi Act Event. 🤔

Sure, I put the NPC’s and some Decor into Storage (both Dogs and that Group of Dogs), I placed what Buildings with Character Tasks into my Springfield (appreciating the fact that it didn’t take up Real Estate).

      The highlights (for me) :

      Crazy Dog Man
      Danger Dog
      Officer McGriff the Crime Dog
(each has a fun Questline, is Voiced, Visual Character Tasks)

I believe Tappers are finding whenever a Building is repetitive in nature? It sets off the “more of this stuff again?” (I can agree with that, because I’ve also cracked jokes that the Buildings have become repetitive in nature for the animated TV Series).

I know that I am not the only one that will stop tapping during an Event, or just skip an entire Event, when they are not content with the Prize Track (I actually have found many former Tappers whenever I fire up The Simpsons Arcade 1Up and join the ‘online access’ for Simpsons Bowling).

So, yes, I can agree with anyone who found Prizes to be repetitive OR who felt like this Event could’ve been wrapped up in 3 Acts vs 4 Acts (this is also one of the few Events where I did not spend 🍩’s for Premium Character Combos – none of them interested me, I’m sure there are Tappers who are happy with them and others who will wait for that Content to show up in a Mystery Box).
