It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Starting to get mad about donut prospecting. I restarted playing this game in April of this year, so I was late to the prospecting thing.
When I only needed 1 deed to obtain a land tile, I was getting 12, 30, 120 donuts per donut vein….well now I’m working on the land tiles that require 3 deeds that takes me DAYS/week to obtain, but I’m only getting 3, 5, 7 donuts per vein now. WTF
just found out that Ceceil will stop his task and you will lose out on your money if you start your investment and then store the City Hall. i am not a KEM farmers, i play the normal way, so that $5mil lost was devistating for me….esp since im only 10 mil away from the Rock and a Hard Place
Even if the show were to end. EA would be dumb to close the game considering all the money they are making off donut and token sales.
I noticed the “Deuce’s Caboose” hot dog stand is now in the Yearbook. That’s one of my favorite episodes when Homer and the guy working the stand sing the “hot dog” song… Too bad it doesn’t come with the character.
Character was released much later than the Caboose. The Caboose was part of an episode tie-in promotion. Deuce didn’t hit our games until March of this year…
Thanks! I regret sitting out the March event. I see where Deuce came with the grease recycling plant – another “hoot” of an episode – I believe that was the one with the “food critic” and Homer’s chili blaster…

I am rapidly running out of space and as someone who missed it during the other times it was released (I was on a self imposed TSTO detox), I could really benefit from it now.
I am guessing no EA hints as to its return?
When it does show up, where is it usually listed?

I’m guessing that you’ll have to wait a bit and then buy Shattered Dream Tokens for when they add it eventually. Hint, hint always go through the entire shattered dreams list after each event. It always gets switched up to new stuff after each event…
I’d like mimic characters who can go on character-specific jobs without tying up the original character. Also, how about all the abandoned characters we’ve bought in the past who never get to do anything but sit in the background? I’d like to see Blackbeard and Death have a lot more action in the city.
Automation! I’d like to have the same people doing the same jobs without having to tap 500 characters 1-2 times per day.
Well – I will try not to spoil what’s next on this Game App – but I will say thank you thank you thank you Alissa and Safi for the Saturday ☺️ ‘s …. and there are some returning Prizes that are not going to please Longtime Tappers (it will appeal to New Tappers). 🤔
There will be some who will play along with the next Multi-Act Event, some that will not (even I am debating it as I have done this whole year), but here’s something many of you are not aware of – there is a Simpsons Arcade 1Up , it has an online function (Simpsons 🎳) and I’m slowly meeting a lot of former Tappers (this arcade unit goes for around $600). 🤔

All the talk of TSTO ending is breaking my heart. This is the only game I’ve played consistently my whole life. In the 80’s I was lucky enough to have a job managing a convenience store. My store got the first Astroids. With time we got Astroids Deluxe. You know, the one with the hyperspace button? Now I killed that game. That was my last video game until I found myself in my teenage sons room rooting him on for hours while he played Halo with his friends. Anyway this now 60 year old grandma plays Crayola Create And Play with her grandson. He plays TSTO with me. He loves riding the rail and collecting money off the buildings. It will be sad to see it end. But alas. Without Pong none of us would be here. I played that in a bar with a beer in one hand and that joystick in the other. Happy Tapping all my fellow lovers of this game. ✌️
Ya, my stomach flipped when I read “How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate” in the first bracket battle. I still get a little twinge each time.
Who said TSTO was ending? I’ve been hearing that for more than five years now. Did that come up in the spoiler video? I always avoid spoilers, so I didn’t watch that.

I wouldn’t have thought so! But the OP sounded like he had heard something from this site in some way. So, I was really just pressing the OP for the source of that assertion. (Believe me, if the OP had said it was you, I would have actually finally believed the rumor, lol!)
🤣🤣 I’ve been hearing it for 10 years… one day it’ll be said and be true and no one will believe it.
I’ve heard that the next season is going to be the last. I also hear that The Simpsons Movie Part 2 is in the works. I really don’t pay much attention to those news links before tapping away my life.
That’s way too definitive a statement. At most, I’ve read that Al Jean thinks it COULD end after season 34 in 2023. Nothing from anyone related to the show (that I’ve been able to find) says that it WILL end then. And, given that the audience for this season’s premiere episode was the largest in five years, it sounds like there’s very much still an audience for this show. I guess we’ll just have to see what happens as it gets closer to renewal time for a potential season 35!

I don’t think it’s ending anytime soon. I think if it would’ve ended during that lag…maybe a year and a half ago..give or take, when I remember going a month or 2 in between events..but it bounced back and has been very consistent ever since…with a week in between events..if that. Anywho…that’s my thought.
