  1. Anyone else missing all of their neighbors? Another EA random glitch or shui contact them?

  2. Funny random question time: What character task would you choose to do? Mine would be going on the rides at Krusty Land.
Also; Why is Lisa’s “Read a book” task so short? I thought it would be a longer task for her since she loves reading. (If it was me, I’d be happy to only have to ready for 45 seconds, lol!) :p
I do feel sorry for Lisa though.

  3. 10 years today… WOW! Just scored my golden donut statue. I’m in a little bit of celebration mode! 10 years ago I started playing this with my 11 year old nephew- while I was recovering from spinal fusion surgery- and he loved spraying graffiti on my town! He just graduated from college with a degree in Architectural Engineering…. Maybe TSTO – had some influence! I got so addicted- that back in fall of 2013 while on our annual trip to Europe ( I’m American & my ex was British) – I spent huge $$$ on data overages in order to complete a Halloween event ( I think it was around $300) 😂😂😂. Thankfully things have changed with the phone companies!

Thanks to all who have kept TSTO addicts going! Very much appreciated!

Patiently waiting for our Golden Hotdog Cooker Robot!
    😂😂😂

  4. I’m coming back from some years without playing, not sure if 3, 4 or 5.

I don’t remember blowing up Krustyland and randomly placing all the stuff back into Springfield, but judging by the layout and the fact I have a bunch of free land tokens, it looks like it may have been me in a late stage, already too lazy to place down things beautiful and properly.

  5. Hi!

Short question: i got a golden donut statue today, because its exactly ten years since homer blew up springfield (so it said)

It got me ten donuts and a cute statue.

I was wondering: is this a mini event? Where did it come from? I cant find anything on it on tsto.

    Any thoughts?

    • I liked what you did with the Water Park, be safe on Holidays. (been watching the News regarding climate change in Europe)

  7. Hey, so I usually don’t do this, or if this is even the right place for this, but I have a question & was hoping I could get some help with. I’ve searched though this site & tried to find out what I can, but there’s a lot of content here so I may have missed it.

This is a multi-part question, but it’s all related. I’m mainly interested in collecting characters, any & all characters in the game, but that’s it. I don’t buy the event premiums, though because they cost to much, but have ended up with many later on at a cheaper rate. So the Event Mystery Box that I have for this event contains 15 items. It seems there are 11 characters (both w/ building & without) & 4 stand alone buildings. My plan is to purchase 10 tokens, 5 @ 240 donuts twice, plus the 4 from the event. That will give me 14. I’ll be 1 short. Now if I can get all the characters & just have a building left, then I’ll be fine, however, if I end up with one of the characters left especially one not in the Yearbook Mystery Box, I’ll be annoyed, so I’m trying to prevent that. (Specifically, after Act 2, I’ll purchase 5 Tokens & get 7 prizes, then get the other 7, after I finish Act 4)

So, I have a couple of questions about the differences between the two mystery boxes. Currently showing on my Yearbook Mystery Box, I have RADIOACTIVE MAN & RADIOACTIVE MAN STATUE listed as an item I might get. The Event Mystery Box shows RADIOACTIVE MAN MOVIE SCENE. On this site, the article listing the various Yearbook items lists RADIOACTIVE MAN FILM SET & also RADIOACTIVE MAN BUNDLE, but there is no link to show what it includes. So, if I obtained RADIOACTIVE MAN & the STATUE is that separate from the MOVIE SCENE & would it disappear from the Event Mystery Box, or are these separate items?
Also, that same Page shows DRIVE-IN THEATER & SPACE MUTANT as an item from the YBMB, however, the Event MB just lists DRIVE-IN THEATER. So if I get the DRIVE-IN THEATER from the Event MB, will it not include the SPACE MUTANT, & then will I not be able to get it? So, should I attempt to obtain it from the YB instead?

I hope I explained what I’m asking, well enough. Basically, just trying to figure out the best way to maximize everything & not miss out on any characters, so I’m wondering the way to proceed.

    Thanks.

TLDR: Looking for some help/advise/logistics about the Mystery Boxes, but probably need to read to understand the specifics.

    • Hi wozziewoo

I’m in agreement with my fellow Tappers that tend to wait for Black Friday Mystery Boxes …. you tend to find the Prior Content that is wanted (just save up those 🍩’s and 💵’s) it’s not always 💯 guaranteed but you will find enough from the past 9.5 – 10 years this Game App offers up. 👍🏻

      • Exactly what I’ll be doing, but how in any way does this answer any of what I originally asked? I was asking specifically about the Mystery Box for THIS EVENT. No need to comment if you can’t address what I was asking about.

        Thanks

    • Radioactive Man and Statue is separate from the Movie Set and Bundle. I believe the Bundle includes Kane Manor, Bartcave and Bartman. The Movie Set is just a stand alone building. As for the Drive in Theater it should include the Space Mutant. I hope this helps you decide what to do.

    • Radioactive Man might also be included in the Bundle without Statue, I’m not sure about that.

    • Note: If you get Radioactive Man without Statue, you probably won’t ever be able to get the Statue.

      • Thanks for the information. I’m definitely appreciative, I’m not sure it helps me figure out what to do, but more info is always a plus. If anything, though this may have complicated it even more. As I mentioned, I like characters, I want Radioactive Man (At some point). IDK, about the Statue, I’m not sure if I care. It would probably be nice, but I can probably be ok without it. Does it do anything to warrant making sure I get it? If you’re right about Space Mutant being included with Drive In in this Event Mystery Box, all the better, because now it’s 12 characters, but if it’s not, & it then becomes like what you said about The Statue & I am prevented from getting the Space Mutant in the future that would royally suck.

Still not entirely sure about the Bundle though. Kane Manor & Bartman Cave are listed separately (matter of fact Bartman Cave, is also currently listed as one of my available items) Bartman is not. So, will I be unable to get Bartman in the future? I do have a premium costume for Bart, so in that sense it doesn’t matter, but then, it is BARTMAN, so there is that.

Also, the post I’m getting my info from is about 3 ½ years old, so IDK if it’s accurate or updated or not, since then.

        https://tstoaddicts.com/2019/03/13/yearbook-mystery-box/

FYI, my current YBMB selection is:
        — Circle of Death
        — Rocket to Your Doom
        — Bartman Cave
        — Kearney’s Other Son
        — Radioactive Man & Radioactive Man Statue

So anyway, thanks for all the info. Still not sure what to do, but the good news is, not doing this till I finish Act 2, so still have about 1 ½ weeks. At that point, I could always just take my shot & see what I get & reevaluate. In the meantime, if anyone else has anything to add, I definitely appreciate the info.

        • You’ll get the space mutant after you finished the quest that comes with the drive in.

          • This is good news. So I’ll have 12 characters out of the 15 items in the Mystery Box. However, I’ll have 14 Tokens. I guess I’m going to have to hope I get really lucky or figure out some way to get another token or less the mystery box by 1. (Don’t want to spend 60 Donuts on just 1 extra token, not worth it.)

  8. Today’s song .

    Rolling Stones

    Angie

Wish you were here . See ya bye . 👽🖖

  9. I can relate. I have seen a hand full of episodes and all the Tree house of Horrors (Thanks to my daughter and Disney+). But I have never watched an episode on a Sunday night. As this event began, I decided to watch the tie-in episodes. Which got me excited about the current event. My original plan, was not to purchase any of the premiums as they didn’t interest me, however, after watching the episode, now I want to get them all. LOL

  10. Happy Sunday Tappers,

We’re still having a monsoon 🌧️ (yes we do need the 🌧️ just not the 🌧️ damage). I’m choosing to play thru Act 1 (obtained Mrs Scratchy w Picnic with that 🪙), it may be the only Act I do for this Multi Act Event (I do feel better following the advice of Alissa and shrinking my Springfield down – fyi those TSTO YouTube Videos are more than just Event Spoilers, sometimes there’s some good advice and opinions).

Stay Safe ’cause now it’s not just Covid to protect yourself from ….

  11. Hello all 🙂 I love playing Tapped Out, the game design and mechanics are brilliant, and I love the fact that there’s little to no pressure or need to make in-app purchases. Here’s a thing, though: I don’t have the slightest interest in The Simpsons show itself…in fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen a whole episode. Anyone else like me? Have a good one all 🙂

    • Hi Squirrel 😀

True Simpsons Fan …. but I like your dedication to the Game App (this is one of the few free to download Mobile Games from EA, there are not that many “build a town” Apps left that are free to download, and those that are left do not offer Levels past 50 – often requiring real 💵’s to get there).

We have had other Tappers in the past try Family Guy and Futurama, only to discover both Game Apps are terrible compared to The Simpsons Tapped Out (I guess in a way we are fortunate to still be TSTO Addicts).

    • My guess is that no..there is no one “like” you. You must be the most unique individual in the world. I want to continue explaining how special it must be to have no interest in “the Simpsons show” yet still play and love this game…but if I talk about that …you will feel like an idiot, and I might feel bad…and my reply might not even get posted.

      • Don’t overestimate the importance of your opinion mate; it means less than nothing to me. I certainly wouldn’t feel like an idiot due to a small man voicing his thoughts on a series I don’t like 🙂

    • Go borrow a DVD of Season 4….I think you’re in for a nice surprise! (My personal favorite is the Ayn Rand/Great Escape/Tennessee Williams musical mashup that is “A Streetcar Named Marge.”

      • Thing is, I actually dislike many of the characters – a good season for you will still be just as annoying for me 😉

        • How can you dislike something you said you’ve never even watched a whole episode of (especially when you say you enjoy the game that’s written by the same writers)? For example, it’s pretty common for Homer to be a real unlikeable jerk in the first half of an episode, then to realize it and to do or say something really sweet by the end. I’m not saying that I know for sure that you’d enjoy the show if you actually watched a couple of whole episodes, but I figure I’d recommend one to try (and which season was my favorite) so you can find out if that’s actually true for you.

          • Why do you think I’ve never managed to stomach a whole episode? I play TSTO with the sound off and skip through the storylines without reading. For me it’s just a good, well-balanced city builder that’s refreshingly free of in-game ads and P2W.

            • You don’t read the dialog, and yet you pass judgement on it? Okay…

And I don’t know why you’ve never been able to stomach a whole episode, because you didn’t really say anything other than “unlikeable characters,” which you base on just what happened in the first half of the show. Very few characters stay unlikeable through an entire episode (except for someone like Mr. Burns, whose whole schtick is to be an over-the-top comedy villain (“Release the hounds!”), and even he has had an occasional heartwarming story). What comedies do you watch where everyone is likeable all the time?

I think the show is frequently witty, clever, and heartwarming and is sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. But, to each his/her/their own…you’re certainly free to play the game however you’d like and watch or not watch the show as you please, of course.

    • Hi Squirrel, yes meeee! I have watched some episodes of Simpsons but otherwise not very interested in the episodes. But I am a huge fan of the game. First, because I like the fact you’re building and designing your own town. Second, I am an illustrator and I love the game because I like the artistic aspect. 😉
That’s it, please don’t hate me now! 😍

    • Hi Squirrel My sister & I grew up watching the first 10 seasons on TV when we were kids in the 90s, w other cartoons like Daria, Beavis & Butthead, Courage the dog etc. It was the Golden Age of cartoons lol Back then Simpsons were actually funny, every minute there was some fun gag (or everything caught on fire which was also funny), the art was ugly but they had good writers, funny & satirical dialogue, and wacky plots that u just kept watching.. like Homers mystery journey with the Coyote, Bart selling his soul, Homer going to space, Lisa becoming vegetarian, Bart in France as exchange student or Lisa becoming a Cool Kid for the summer.. so many quotes from back then I still use when I talk to my sister (I for one welcome our new ant overlords, I hate the sea & everything in it, etc) They also had great actors guest voice characters back then like Michael Jackson (!), Winona Ryder, even Meryl Streep! And the Halloween special Treehouse of horror episodes were such a hilarious treat every year – Aliens, vampires, ad statues coming alive, Burns sewing up Homer, Bart having superpowers & reading thoughts, Cursed yoghurt shop, cursed monkey paw granting wishes… Then I grew up, stopped watching. Now I can’t stand the show, still running 30 years later but not very funny anymore, the characters didn’t age, no plots left to explore. I prefer this silly game now as I can decorate it however I want and have my fav characters run around or ride their sleigh across the screen. Happy tapping!
