Gil’s Latest Gimmick: Details and Should You Buy Chinnos & Chinnos & the Vindicators Base?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Ol’ Gil is back in Springfield! Always a pleasure to see our favorite salesman roaming the streets of Springfield! (hey EA, when the heck are you going to make Gil a playable character?!)

Anyway, Gil is back and, as always, he’s got another “deal” for us.   What’s the latest gimmick he’s peddling? Well, this one is a real trip to the circus!

So let’s break down the details of this latest offer and determine if this deal is worth the donuts or if you should take a hard pass…

So when you first get into Springfield you’ll see Gil waving his arms around…just begging you to tap on him…

If you tap on him you’ll see…

Gil: Ha-cha-cha, have I got a nifty-gifty for you today.  Buying this will be the bee’s knees of cool!
Chinnos: I don’t know these words you use.
Gil: Oh, jeez, mister.  Just do me a favor and buy this before the clock runs out on ol Gil

At which point you’ll see his latest gimmick…

If you refuse…

Gil: Isn’t this where the superheroes intervene to save the good guy?  Me being the good guy?
Magnesium Man: Sorry, it’s our day off today.
Gil: I don’t want to intrude on anyone’s off day.  Guess I’ll just see what’s on the other side of this “Domesday App”.
Chinnos: It will be like you never existed at all.
Gil: Sounds like my previous marriage, so it probably can’t be any worse.

If you accept…

Gil: Aw, that’s just swell.  I don’t care what anyone says, you’re a superhero in my book!

Now real quick…if you refuse the offer will go back to the store.  It will be there…

  1. Even though I know all the dialog will be captured on this site, I always decline Gil’s deal first, so I can read his “disappointment dialog.” Once I’ve done that, I go back in and purchase his deal. Does anyone else do the same?

  2. I’m still on the fence on this one. It’s a little too “out there” for my taste. I’m not a fan of these weird characters and buildings. I prefer a little more realism in my town.

On another note, EA if you’re reading this, why do you randomly log us off? It’s bad enough when you do that, but why won’t an email and a password suffice? I’m on an ipad, and have only one screen at a time. When I go into my email for the code, and then come back to the game, it tells me it’s the wrong code. I then have to find my phone and get a verification text. I haven’t played all day because of that.

  3. Like others I have abundant donuts so I bought Chinnos, however that is a mad price to pay for a character & base.
Does the base actually do anything?

  4. I buy almost every donut item now… after 10 years of playing I don’t have anything else to do with them. I plan to use it along with other event times to expand the Superhero area in my Krusty / Itchy & Scratchy Land.

  5. I got it, and I got Hydrangea, which I think I like better!😁

  6. This high donut price and still NOT VOICED? Thank you for the rundown Alyssa. Since I’m not farming I will pass for now. I’m focused on just getting enough donuts & tokens to get Miss Scratchy from the Event Box and then the Fractured Moon guy *pew pew pew*🌛

  7. I farmed some donuts and picked it up, cuz what else will I spend them on. It’s… okay? The Avengers spoof was low hanging fruit and not terribly clever. No voice doesn’t help. I’d pass if I was on a budget.

    • Couldn’t agree more, as a casual non farmer. The lack of voice and just 2 animations per premium character is so lazy of EA. I love that Kodos & Kang are voiced and have so many visual tasks instead of just hiding inside buildings. I wish other aliens, monsters and heroes had as many..
