Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of The Greatest Trick Ever Performed questline, you’ll have to earn
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.
It’s now time to take a look at the non-character (or costume) prizes on the Tragic Magic Prize Track. So let’s take a look at the Tarot Table, Magic Shop, and Fortune Teller Booth…
First up, the Tarot Table…

What Does it Do?: Once unlocked, if you’ve purchased Princess Opal, she’ll have some secondary dialogue and a task that takes place at the table. Once you’ve completed that task you’ll unlock a permanent task for her at the table…

Princess Opal: Ahh, a Tarot Table made out of elvish wood. With a table like this, I can do Ouija readings at twice the speed!
Fortune Teller: I called dibs on that table!
Princess Opal: Get out of here, onion hag. The table’s mine!
Fortune Teller: I was here first, corn syrup sorcerer!
Princess Opal: Look, we’re both professionals, I’m sure we can find a way to split the table equally.
Fortune Teller: I’ve looked into the future and I do not like what I see.
Princess Opal: Spare me your little Fortune Teller act. You wanna split the table or not?
Fortune Teller: Seems fair. Let’s do it.

After 8 months and several game updates, I still have the quest shown as blocked (red dot) but task is available and I have done it multiple times, continues never clearing. Any advise ?
I’ve got that in one town too – nothing a player can do about it until the Devs get round to fixing it.
They’ll be busy with a nasty glitch affecting Samsung S22 players right now but I’ll go bang on about it again when that’s fixed and hope they sort it sooner or later
… and I might just have worked out how to fix it for ’em

I’ve looked and looked in my stored inventory and across my town (using the tool that makes buildings, roads, trees etc. transparent) and I can’t find the Tarot Table anywhere. I have the Magic Shop and Mesmerino, so I definitely earned the table in the original quest, but yes here I am with you. Still stuck with that stupid task. Even storing Princess Opal still shows the task as being unfinished.
If you scroll down Princess Opal’s tasks to find the animated Read Tarot Cards 4h job it’ll take you to the table if it’s stored, but won’t count as the Read Tarot Cards task for the quest !!
Do not store the Tarot Table if you bought Princess Opal.
If it’s unlocked and in storage when you trigger pt.3 of her questline it will glitch out and leave you stuck waiting for a patch
I didn’t store the tarot table, I placed it immediately but I’ve still got the same problem with the task – can’t complete it.

Came here to say the same thing. Princess Opal doesn’t clear. Tried storing her even. Hmmm?

I have a task for Opal to do a tarot reading but it doesn’t progress when I do it. I have the red dot next to it and Opals task is. It yellow. Not sure what happened.
I have the same problem. It shows the task is blocked, but it’s not. In fact I can do that task and have many times, it just never clears.
