Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
I apologize that this is going up so late…I have A LOT going on this week, so posts will be very delayed. I’ll try my best to get content up, but I can’t promise it’ll get done.
It’s time for everyone’s favorite update in TSTO…Halloween! (well, mine is still Christmas…but I digress…) Will the Simpsons survive this horror update?! Only time..and 5 weeks of tapping will tell!
Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield. So love them, or hate them, they’re still here. So let’s all try to make the best of this…
Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Flanders…
After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Treehouse of Horror Event!
First, remember this was an app store update available for download. So if you haven’t already done so, and you don’t see the Splash Screen above (or a variation of it) for your game, or snow in your Springfield head to your app store and update TSTO. You may have to search the store for Tapped Out, as it doesn’t always appear on the update list initially…

Now on with the details for Act 1!
Here’s EA’s event synopsis:
Halloween is the new “it” holiday, and Springfielders are going crazy for it in the most crassly
commercial way possible. Lisa tries to teach them the true meaning of dread and horror by publicly
reading “The Fall of the House of Usher”, but her audience quickly gets bored and leaves in search of
more shock value. One person appreciates her effort though: Edgar Allan Poe himself!Eager to learn about this future world where Halloween is such a big deal, Poe first embarrasses himself (and Lisa) but trying to fit in, and then becomes angry when he’s unable to teach Springfielders the true meaning of horror either. A mocking Bart decides to teach Poe and Lisa what’s what by summoning the true “old guy” master of horror: H.P. Lovecraft!
After quarreling with each other about who’s the better teller of macabre tales, Poe and Lovecraft
briefly team up to thwart the town’s semi-regular zombie invasion. But afterwards, Lovecraft is
determined to prove he’s the best by enlisting Mad Doctor Itchy’s help in giving life to his most twisted
creation ever: Sideshow…Chicken?
We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
Here’s the event schedule:
Act 1 Starts October 12th (WEDNESDAY)
Act 2 Starts October 21st (FRIDAY)
Act 3 Starts October 30th (SUNDAY)
Act 4 Starts November 8th (TUESDAY)
Event Ends November 16th, 2022 (WEDNESDAY)
As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s. Once completed you’ll start The True Meaning of Halloween questline, which is the Act 1 story to follow. This is how you’ll unlock the Act 1 prizes.

Marge: Hurry up, everyone! Once we finish shopping for Halloween treats, I have another treat — Krusty’s new Halloween special!
Krusty: It’s “special” because it’s a thirty-minute commercial for my Krustyland Halloween Horror Night — with commercials. Don’t worry kids. There will be gore galore! You’ll be wetting your pants more than you already do!
Bart: That sounds awesome! I’m bringing diapers so I don’t miss a thing!
Krusty: Butcha gotta watch my special first!
Homer: Halloween is the new “it” holiday.
Ned: Yep, I’m even into it!
Lisa: Mr. Flanders, who are you dressing up as?
Ned: Polystar Pictures’ latest superhero sensation: Stigmata Man! I shoot bloody webs from my palms making Jerusalem safe from Roman sentries everywhere!
Lisa: Sounds very kid friendly.
Make Homer Shop for a Sexy Costume for Marge- 6s
Make Marge Shop for Halloween Lights- 6s
Make Bart Shop for a Scary Costume- 6s
Make Lisa Shop for a Meaningful Costume- 6s
Make Flanders Shop for Fake Blood- 6s
And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…

Now let’s talk about what’s included…
Here’s the Act 1 Synopsis from EA:
With the popularity of Halloween at an all-time high, Springfielders keep trying to outdo each other by
purchasing bigger and more outlandish Halloween costumes and decorations. Krusty cashes in by
hosting a Halloween Horror Night at Krustyland devoted to shocks and gore. A dejected Lisa tries to
teach people the true meaning of dread and horror by publicly reading “The Fall of the House of Usher”,
but her audience quickly gets bored and leaves in search of more shock value. One person appreciates
her effort though: Edgar Allan Poe himself!
DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL UP AND DOWN IN THE TASK BOXES (PICTURED ABOVE) TO BE SURE TO COMPLETE ALL TASKS FOR EACH PART.
I’ll lay out specifically what you need to do for each part in the turbo tappin’ post, but I don’t want any of you to get messed up with this. So don’t forget to SCROLL!

Each Act will have a new premium character that will earn event currency. From what I can see, based on the info from EA, characters will be used throughout the entire event. So Act 1 will be used in Act 2, 3, and 4…etc.

Does anyone know where in my inventory the zombie billboards have disappeared to? I can’t find them anywhere and I’ve been through every section multiple times 😩
New event items often end up in the uncategorized, inventory view, not within each of the categories (or, rather, any of the categories). Try just scrolling to the right in the uncategorized view and it should be probably near the front, but definitely somewhere in there. One thing I do whenever there’s a new event item is to always place it in my town right away when given the opportunity (even if I ultimately plan to store it). However, I know that with the billboards, that wasn’t an option.
Appreciate the reply, however I’m also well aware of every facet of the game, actually bring a top level 13year vet who also places every item & extensively designs my town… This is a confirmed glitch for numerous players, albeit surprising for a higher level mobile device, but may be attributed to high volume of items or a random one… It felt more random to me being my game runs consistently well with very minimal issues in graphics or connections. A case has been made with EA so we’ll see what comes of it😏👌🏽
Ahhhh…. There they are, thanks! Literally just off the screen past my monorail pieces! I wasn’t even aware that there was an ‘uncategorised’ view and assumed it was just opening up in my monorail section for some reason. I must have stumbled on the other buildings by dumb luck as I remember having the exact same issue at the time and thought it had just been a glitch where they’d took a while to appear.

So dumb question but I wanted to buy a ton more jack o lanterns for my Springfield just for the hell of it. Can’t seem to define them. I’m assuming they aren’t available this year?
Part 4 glitch. Can anyone help? Everyone seems stuck in my Krustyland entrance. I sent them there to do part of the part 4 task. They finish their task and it looks like they come out but Homer, Lisa and Apu are stuck and it keeps taking me back there but there’s nothing to press. It says their jobs are complete. It also says that the other job I sent all the characters to do hasn’t been completed by anyone…

hmmm just finished part 5, ie first week, and we get…willie the riveter, as a villain? where is EA Poe?
Can’t find the building bundle in my inventory, either.
😏Ditto… ’13 veteran, top level, heavily organized l player who pretty much experienced everything, and can’t seem to find that darn little bldg bundle anywhere💩
…Definitely seems like a glitch because most every time a Bldg will pop up for placement prior to option for storage.
It’s in the uncategorized view of your inventory. It’s one building which, after it’s done building, then has an additional skin for it.

I just bought the New Frontier Monorail Bridge (max of 4) and placed them in my land expansion area and all of my donut veins refreshed and was able to mine donuts again. Got about 1,400 donuts. Not sure if this is a glitch but wanted to share the wealth!

Hi, do we know yet if mystery box tokens will be given aaay during the event or do we need to buy with donuts? I only have one item in my box.
Doesn’t look like there will be a prize token so you’ll need to consider if it’s worth the sprinkles, sorry.
I had a daily task yesterday that awarded a mystery box token…I don’t know if that was because of the event or whether it would have happened anyway.
Those are for the Shattered Dreams box you get when you complete an event. They won’t work on Event or Black Friday boxes.
Hi, i got a problem, i unlocked the True Meaning of Halloween Pt. 2, but i can’t find in the invetory the Halloween HQ Bundle. Anyone konws why? Thanks
The building bundle goes straight into inventory. Check the uncategorized list for it. Also, the “bundle” is really a building and a skin for that building. You need to place the building, wait for it to build, and then the skin will be available for it.

If you are strapped for cash, the 6 sec tasks that Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Flanders have to do to begin the event are $35 each and repeatable until you complete the 5th one. So, as long as you only use 4 of them, you can harvest $140 (plus bonus multipliers) every 6 seconds. I did this for like an hour and raked in over $100,000 in much-needed cash before accidentally sending Marge on the final task 🙁
Hi, Like some others I can’t find the Krustyland facade. Needed to place the Krustyland entrance before being able to start the 3rd task. Also, I can’t find the building bundle. I think it went straight into storage – didn’t have the option to place it – but I can’t (easily) see it in my storage. Is it hidden somewhere? Or just disappeared like the facade? Thanks.

I can’t seem to find the building / facade either; nothing in inventory or placed in my Springfield – if so, I should have found a construction animation to tap…?
Did you check your Krusty land.
Mine went directly onto the Krusty Land entrance head.

Thanks so much for your efforts to create an excellent THOH event act 1 rundown – as always, it’s a tremendous help.
I am confused by one thing about the Krustyland Halloween Facade. If I recall correctly, once you place the original Krustyland Entrance in your town it cannot be removed and stored. For that reason I’ve never placed it in my town.
I got the Krustyland Halloween Horror Night Facade, expecting it to be placed immediately in my town. I found it in inventory but when I tapped it this message appeared, “You must build Krustyland Entrance before you can use this facade.”
I left the Entrance in inventory and came here to learn whether the addition of a new facade to KLand Entrance includes also being able to use the facade on the KLand Entrance and then storing the Entrance afterward.
I find that C and Whocareskoala are both asking for clarification about these items. They both have the Krustyland Entrance out in their towns but can’t find the new facade in inventory whereas I find it in inventory while not having the KLand Entrance out in my town.
You still won’t be able to store the KLand Entrance. Once you place it you’re stuck with it.
When I won this prize, the new facade was automatically placed over the existing entrance signage…it didn’t go to my inventory at all. I am still unable to store the entrance, nor the new facade.

Yes it’s automatically placed at the Krustyland entrance.
On a different note, those looking to up their bonus percentage, 20 donuts gives you 5% when you purchase the spooky forest bundle…a great deal
I don’t think you will be able to store the entrance again if you bring it out of your inventory (I’m not doing, don’t want it in my town) but it seems so far you don’t need it to progress the event.

I unlocked the first prize (the facade for krustyland) but can’t find it anywhere. It doesn’t come up when I tap on the entrance and i don’t see it in my storage. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a problem with that too, C and Whocareskoala. I have my KrustyLand Entrance in storage because I don’t want to be stuck with it on display (it can’t be stored once it’s on display in your town.) When I won Halloween Facade it went directly into storage (no option to place it in my town.) I got the message “You must build Krustyland Entrance before you can use this facade.”
Until I hear from Alissa & Safi what’s going on with the glitch both of you have, I’m not taking either item out of storage.

I miss the spookiness! The fog & darkness. It’s like having the Christmas event but no snow when they don’t include it.

…Would really prefer they include fog again even if they had to limit another feature, but green rivers along with foggy swamp & forest items already function… or figure out something to include this essential Halloween event enhancement at least available on upper level devices capable of running additional features👌🏽

Hi, I love your website, long time reader! I have a question- I won the Krustyland Halloween Facade but it disappeared. The original Krustyland entrance is in my town, but I can’t find the Halloween one. And it doesn’t give me the option to use it if I tap on the original one, not sure if you know where where I can check? I’ve been looking all through my saved inventory too. Thanks
