It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Is anyone else still having zoom issues? I haven’t been able to zoom out properly since I replaced my android tablet a few years ago. I want to build my town but can’t see enough to do it. I have submitted the issue to EA several times but just go round in circles. Changing the display size and text sizes doesn’t change anything and there isn’t an option for resolution.
I am back after a while. I completed the first round of Halloween tasks and rewards. There used to be 3-4 rounds of tasks updated every week. Does that still happen?
Yes, still the case. But they start every nine days. Act II will start on Friday.
I really wish we got the update now (Wednesday) instead of Friday. I’ve been ready to go on since Sunday evening.
The wooden bridge to the new territory has reappeared. Princess Opal still stuck on task #3, which won’t highlight in yellow to activate it. Still can’t find the Building Bundle from Pt. 2 of the THOH event.
The building bundle is in your uncategorized inventory view.
I need help, my characters are stuck in the Kristyland entrance. I can’t store it to get them out. What do I do? They’ve been there for two days!!
Try storing buildings associated with characters stuck there. Once you free enough characters it should free the rest.
Same thing happened to me. Since you can’t store the Krustyland entrance ( which would release the characters), I started to store buildings that are linked to characters. For example, storing Willy’s shack to your inventory, and then replacing it, will release Willy. I did that with about 10 characters and then they all released from the entrance.
Release a few of them by storing the buildings they’re “attached” to (which will store those characters). Then the rest should come free of the KL entrance and you can put the stored characters and their buildings back into the town.
Anyone else stuck on Princess Opal to read tarot cards? The table and characters are available but the required task isn’t yellow. I can send her to read tarot cards but it never clears the required task.
Interested to know if anyone is planning to get Frankenscratchy? I’m considering it but not sure if I should wait and save the $10 for something else.
Yes, I am planning to purchase Frankenscratchy later on in the event. I think it is a very cute character.
I did buy it because I love cats! Also needed to beef up my donut supply. So it was a win/win for me!
I would love to black tee shirt with the tree house of horror screen . The one with Lovecraft and poe on it.
You could make your own T-shirt, or hire someone who makes custom T-shirts. All you would need to do is go to the Wikisimpsons page for this year’s Halloween event for TSTO, then download the full size image of the splash screen to your computer. After you downloaded the splash screen image, do a Google search for custom T-shirt printing, and then choose the options that you think would work the best for what you want.
You do know that it’s not legal to use a copyrighted image without permission, right? You may be able to find a company who will produce that shirt for you (even though I think their liability in the matter would be even higher, given that they’re actually profiting monetarily off the use of an unlicensed piece of artwork), and it’s unlikely anyone will actually come after you (or the t-shirt company), but that doesn’t make it any more legal or ethical.
Yes, I do know basic knowledge of copyright law and the legal issues regarding the use of copyrighted materials. There are gray areas in copyright laws that allow for the use of copyrighted materials without permission just as long as certain conditions are met.
Yes, but those conditions don’t apply to this situation. The exceptions are fairly limited and are for “criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research.” I don’t see that making (and, worse, for the company producing it for you, selling) a t-shirt with a copyrighted image falls under any of those categories.
Do what you’re going to (it’s not like anyone is likely to rat you or the t-shirt-making company out), but don’t fool yourself into thinking what you’re doing is legal (or moral, for that matter).
Anyone else locked out of their game? I get registration code via email, it’s accepted but then main screen is back to play anonymous!!
I’m not “locked out” but the main screen says tap to continue, and it just freezes. I haven’t been able to play today.
Close out the game from the background, and then reload the game. That usually works for me, especially on my damaged iPad (which is frequently prone to that kind of glitch), unless I haven’t logged into the game for several days in a row.
