Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s time for everyone’s favorite update in TSTO…Halloween! (well, mine is still Christmas…but I digress…) Will the Simpsons survive this horror update?! Only time..and 5 weeks of tapping will tell!
Here we are with Act 4. Which started up at 10am ET, thanks to Daylight Savings Time ending here in the US.
Remember, this is the final act of this event. This and all other Acts must be completed by next Wednesday, November 16th.
Things kick off for Act 4 with some dialogue between Homer, Lisa, Bart, Poe and HP:
Homer: People-chomping zombies! Run! But first it’s always more important to shoot video and post it!
Lisa: Ugh! This is what I’m talking about! People screaming, zombies slow-walking, biting, blood spraying everywhere — BOR-ING!
H P Lovecraft: A weird mind like mine could never be frightened by such banal grotesqueries.
Edgar Allan Poe: Yes. So prosaic! Now go over there and flash your big brain.
Zombie Human 1: You has-beens are just jealous because everyone loves zombies, and no one reads your dusty old “books” unless a teacher forces them to!
H P Lovecraft: Now you’ve gone too far, vile creatures!
Edgar Allan Poe: Indeed! Quoth the Raven: Eat my shorts!
Bart: Hey! That “quoth” is from the Bartman!
This triggers the Act 4 questline, At the Suburbs of Madness and is followed by 4hr tasks for Lisa, Lovecraft, Bart and Mopey Mary, as well as a task to collect Act 4 Currency (115). At the Suburbs of Madness is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 4…
Here’s the Act 4 Synopsis from EA:
Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft team up to thwart the zombie invasion. Poe is willing to call a truce with Lovecraft, but Lovecraft is determined to prove he’s the real master of horror and leads the group to the abandoned lighthouse on the edge of town where he kidnaps Sideshow Bob. Then he takes them to Mad Doctor Itchy’s Castle, where the mad mouse is only too happy to assist in whatever insanity Lovecraft has up his sleeve. After decapitating Sideshow Bob, Lovecraft uses Doctor Itchy’s Reanimator and some spare animal parts lying around the lab to give life to his most twisted creation to date: Sideshow Chicken!
Sideshow Chicken gets loose and briefly terrorizes Springfield before they quickly get bored and decide
to call it night. Marge insists that Lovecraft “fix” Sideshow Bob, but the embarrassed author objects
because what she wants is impossible! Fortunately, Mad Doctor Itchy had already cloned Sideshow Bob
in his original form, so all’s well that ends weird.
As I stated above, you’ll go right into At the Suburbs of Madness questline, which is what the Act 4 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 4 prizes.

Each Act will have a new premium character that will earn event currency. From what I can see, based on the info from EA, characters will be used throughout the entire event. So Act 1 will be used in Act 2, 3, and 4…etc.

5 /4hrs for Freemium
8 /4hrs for New Premium
Act 1/Act 2/Act 3 Prizes

These are STILL unlockable if you haven’t completed that prize track. You have until the event ends to unlock ALL the prizes. So keep going with the earlier Acts if you haven’t yet finished it. You have until November 16th to finish those…

I have characters stuck in the orange house in the last part of 4. I can tap on it and it gets rid of all the hands and money comes out, but the characters are stuck. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. No luck. Ideas?
Store the building they are in.
My characters got stuck in the castle completing the task for Sideshow Chicken and instead of storing it in inventory, I think I accidentally deleted it. 🤦🏼♀️ any ideas to get it back?
Please EA try a change in format for the next main event, this is getting really tedious. Nothing wrong with some of the characters, buildings etc but just give us a bit more to do !!!
I need a few more land tokens as I’m out of space. I can’t remember if there is a way I can just go earn some. Any pointers welcome.
No billboards in my inventory. Never got the Columbus Day storefront and façade from Part 1 either.
Please look in your inventory…. Don’t select a category, just open your storage and scroll through the inventory… You should be able to find them in there.
Actually, it started at 9am EST due to Daylight Savings Ending. EST is 5 hours behind GMT. Act 3 started at 10am EST because they turned their clocks back before we did. Found that out when I logged into the game early to tap out the characters needed for Act 3 to start. THOH Act start times are tricky due to all the time changes everywhere.
Bought the mad doctor itchy, the castle is great, although I have loads of castles will need to add a castle district to my Springfield 🎃
I had the same issue with my billboards. hoping a patch fixes it!
Zombie billboards never showed up in my inventory. …Anyone else have a similar issue? Just curious.

The first time I looked I couldn’t find them either. On my second try I tapped on the move button, then the inventory box and just scrolled through the list and found them there.

That did the trick. I was looking under the various Characters, Buildings and Decorations tabs, but found them in the main inventory window, just had to scroll through a lot of other stuff in storage to find them.
Do we know if the next event is immediately after or do we a have a week break?
