Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
First, I feel like I owe you an apology. I shouldn’t feel this way, but I do. Zero content got posted for the last mini-event. Not because I didn’t want to post content, but because I didn’t have time to post it. Honestly, for the first time in 10 years, I didn’t have time to play a mini-event. I completely skipped it. I haven’t touched my game in over two weeks. That’s how my life is going right now.
So I am sorry that the content has not gotten up. I know many of you have come to rely on this site for information and to answer your questions…and I just haven’t been able to do that for you.
However, a big shoutout to many of you in the community for helping each other in the comments! Even when we can’t get content up, we still work to approve your comments quickly…and we appreciate y’all taking the time to help each other.
Second, to those of you who feel the need to have some negative things to say about content not going up.
If you’ve been around long enough, you would know that about 6 months ago my father passed away very unexpectedly. Since then I’ve been asked to fill his role within our family company. A job I never expected to have, nor asked to have. But I’m doing it. Unfortunately, that combined with being a mother of 3 has really taken a toll on my free time. Which is why content has been lacking.
And you know what else? I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years…I’ve realized that I’m just burnt out. It felt good to not play an update for a change. It was nice to just take a break. 10 years is a long time to be doing something you never thought would last more than 2 or 3 years.
Third, we do have spoiler info for the Christmas event. It is slated to hit next week (December 7th). Safi and I do plan on recording a spoiler video tonight…and I’ll post it as soon as I can thereafter (hopefully for tomorrow).
And that about covers it. Now it’s time for me to go back to work…

Have u tried uninstall/reinstall? Or pausing/unpausing the app? Have u checked the storage available and cleared cache? Just throwing out some ideas to try if u haven’t already, good luck!!
I’m so sorry to hear about your father. I visit this site during events to get information, but I understand that there is a human being behind the scenes putting things together and your well-being comes first. I played the mini-event, but it was kind of fun to do it blind. Thank you for all you do!
Sorry about your Dad. Just post when/if you can. I enjoyed Addicts more before the NDA. It was fun to get more advanced spoilers and plan ahead for events.

You can’t please everyone. And quite frankly you all have been putting out great content for the last decade (not many can make that claim). I took a break for about four years and just started playing again back in September. Initially, I was anxious to see what was happening, but then I got over it. Then I come back to game to see four years worth of items (🥴). Like most that visit this site, I am grateful for your effort.
I have always been impressed by how much work you put into your site! Thank you for your 10 years! And many more, if you are able. Very much appreciated.
Totally understand how you must feel – for the past 8 years I have been working on a weekly newsletter (on geopolitical topics) which takes many, many hours to put together. But life keeps intruding to the point of making me think how much longer I can keep doing it …🙁.

Alissa, you created an awesome, helpful community and site, have done it all for *free* for us, and have put in so much work to keep this site and community going for years. I can only express my gratitude.
I only wish there was something we could do to help you out and make your life easier. I will never begrudge you putting yourself, your family and kids, and your job first!
Ditto the other comments here, as I’ve also expressed to you in the past. Family and life comes first! I am dealing with a lot right now…my dad’s been in the hospital via emergency twice in the past few weeks (fractured pelvis the first time and, after a brief stint in a rehab place, back to the hospital with blood clots in his lungs). Mom wasn’t doing well, either (they’re both in their 80s and mom has many physical issues), so I’m down in nyc for a bit to help out. And, on top of everything else, on the day my dad was first admitted into the hospital (after a day in emergency), I found out that, after almost 31 years, my job was being eliminated and I’ve been end-dated as if later this month. So, yeah…I can totally relate and hope that both of our lives, and those of our loved ones, start improving soon! In the meantime, all we can do is hang in there and prioritize, which is what you’ve rightly done.
I’ve been pretty much burned out too after so many yrs playing. So much so I only check in once a day, do the task, visit one neighbor and leave. I don’t keep up with making my town organized any more, I dump wherever I have room. I apologize for not reading the work you and Safi put into this part of the game very often. I didn’t even know you had a third child. When did this happen? Anyone tell me since Alissa is so busy. I’m also very sorry for the lose of your dad.
I have lurked here for a long long long time. The work that you have done on this website has been beyond helpful over the years. Just send thanks and love.

Ditto what everyone else has said. Imagine criticising someone who spends their own free time unpaid giving people a complete forensic breakdown of a game just for others enjoyment? Get in the bin with ye.
