It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Splash screen comment: I _don’t_ like it, although it looks great. Huh? Let me explain.
Previously, Sky Finger was supposed to be US, as the player controlling the poor citizens of Springfield. Suddenly, it’s Scrooge controlling Homer! What the heck? Conceptually, therefore, I think this splash screen makes _zero_ sense, even though visually it’s terrific.
(Boy, it’s a day for me to be pedantic!)
I don’t see it that way. To me it looks like Scrooge’s ghost pointing at him in what Homer perceives as a scary, threatening way and Homer is running away. Clearly, it parallels the original story, in which the ghost of Marley (and ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future) appear in Scrooge’s dreams, as Homer is dressed in a similar nightgown and cap as Scrooge does in the original story.
Hmm… okay, that makes sense, but then there wouldn’t be any “real” SkyFinger in the splash screen at all, which would also be odd… since _somebody_ has to be tappin’ in Tapped Out! Oh, well, just my OCD kicking in….
One thing I noticed from the recent-ish splash screen battle bracket is that Sky Finger didn’t appear in all of the splash screens, so maybe that will help with your ocd? 😉
Hmm… I didn’t notice that at the time! D’oh! I thought it was something new, so clearly I was mistook, in airier, and rung.
My app keeps downloading updates. My app has downloaded the same update three times. Each time it tries to download 2552.1 MB. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I seen on the news the other day that a woman was suing V . . . mac and cheese .
Because it did not cook in time according to what it said on the box .
Which was like three maybe three and a half minutes .

Actually, there was a case where someone sued over hot coffee and WON, and it made sense. The problem was that there are industry standards for different products’ heat – what is it, is it takeout or eat in, etc. Their coffee was SIGNIFICANTLY hotter than standard, and people HAD complained before. So they had an issue, and failed to address it. It spilled, and the customer was badly burned, much worse than they would have been if the product were at the proper temperature. And THAT is why in this case the seller was liable. But “person hurt because they don’t realize hot coffee is hot” is catchier.

I wish EA would update the game so the iPhone 14 pill doesn’t block the task list ….. current solution is to turn phone with bottom facing left instead of facing right
I don’t understand why sometimes when I open the app out I go from neighbors to my town I get the bonus game with 1 2 or three donuts immediately
This has happened to me as well. Do you allow all the task and building cash and XP to clear completely before closing your game? I have had many times when the game crashes while I have enough XP floating around for more than one level bonus round. I then get one bonus round when the app restarts, and my XP is set to 0, but a second bonus round occurs randomly when I open the app in the future.
yeah, that’s probably it, but sometimes it is after I press the sky finger monument.
Here is a secret bug in the game. Use the sky finger to clear the game (with almost everything not tapped). Exit by going to the neighbors or just out of the game. When you go back, it acts like you didn’t tap the individual buildings. So, you collect double. This is especially handy if you have donut generating buildings. You get double the returns on some things.
Are you referring to the occasional glitch in the game where most the characters get stuck in one particular building and when you clear it, leave, and come back you’ve collected the money and xp but characters are still there to be cleared again? I’ve had that a few times but never seen the buildings reset after skyfinger?
