It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Is anybody else having trouble getting the game to run? I have an iPhone 11 with updated iOS. I deleted and reinstalled the game a few times and it still won’t work. Anybody else have this issue or have any tips? Thank you greatly!
This worked for me (YMMV): I signed in to the EA website, accepted their new terms, and made sure that I had verified e-mail and phone (probably don’t need both). I then deleted the app from my phone & re-installed it. Launched and was able to log in, after downloading all the updates.

Sorry, no suggestions. You’re not the only one with this issue, though, if that’s any comfort, so hopefully EA will fix it soon.
Anybody else having problem navigating between neighbors’ towns? I’m trying to visit my neighbors, and as soon as I hit the “next neighbor” arrow, BOOM, I’m out of the game. It did this repeatedly on my iPad, so just in case I updated the game on my iPhone, and BOOM, same problem.
Weird. Came back this evening and it’s working. If it only happened to me, and on 2 different devices, I guess there was some temporary problem with my game… weird, I say!

when will Tarot Reader task be fixed? I still have the “read tarot cards” task from the halloween event in my game. it was in a special box during the christmas event but now it’s back to showing as normal but I can’t ever get it to finish. Why cant Opal the Tarot Reader finish her task?
Your best hope is whenever an update hits. The ambient noise glitch during loading has gone on for years as has the rollback glitch.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, I’d say the more people who complain frequently on EA forums and call customer service, the more likely a resolution.
The task involves Princess Opal, who must be available as well.

After 4 months of sending Princess Opal on the 4 hour animated job to Read Tarot Cards while unable to perform the 4 hour questline task for Princess Opal to Read Tarot Cards I suspect all affected players know you need Princess Opal for it and just wish they had the right task !!
It’s been driving a lot of players nuts, me included.
The reason opal can’t finish the task, is because she has offended the Spirits. 🔮 by not leaving offerings. She’s also spending way too much time with Voodoo man.
Hopefully, she’ll get over him soon. 😈😱 😜

Been enjoying playing tapped out. I am almost done with side quests. I finished Bart’s Lisa’s, short old man we got for a prize which I don’t recall his name at the moment. I am currently doing grandpa Simpson. He is currently searching for his glasses. I was glad to see thimble weed while playing and the screaming caterpillar. Any fun appearances you saw in your game? Now that we have a lot of characters it is all too easy to not all the characters.
About 1 day left on Shattered Dreams box..any speculation on what’s coming?…

Will you be getting the info packs from EA about new events?
There aren’t spoiler packs for mini events unless there’s something extra special happening and unless I’m mistaken that’ll be what we get next.
NFL playoffs!! Best time of the year! Although..Northern Maine …the way life should be..just got 2 feet of snow..1 day down..back normal already.
Northern Maine, crazy how big this country is. Always wonder what day to day life is like for many Americans especially in northern Maine. seems so isolated from the rest of the country.
When will the snow go away?
Most likely when the next mini event hits when the shattered dreams timer runs down but possibly not until the next big update. However EA in recent years has ended the snow sooner rather than later.

Anyone else not able to log in at all?
Jim – I had another problem yesterday for hours (being booted while navigating friends’ towns), but that went away by evening. Maybe there was an issue that caused both? Did you manage to log in finally?
