Carl: Der what Zorp?
Homer: The DJ! Der Zip Zorp.
Der Zip Zorp: *hand wave emoji*
Lenny: Oh yeah, I’ve seen you on TV. You never take off your helmet — which makes your music seem better!
Der Zip Zorp: *thumbs up emoji*

Carl: It’s what real Der Zip Zorp fans der, Homer.
Der Zip Zorp: 🙂
Carl: Hey, here comes Grimes, looking bummed as usual.
Homer: Which Grimes? Elon Musk Grimes? Or…
Frank Grimes: Every day still feels like a drag since I pulled myself out of the grave.
Homer: Oh, him.
Frank Grimes: But how can I be bummed out when this upbeat electronic music is so infectious? Let’s party!
Carl: Now that’s more like it!
Frank Grimes: Nothing can bring me down now!
Homer: Hey Grimes, been a while!
Frank Grimes: GRRR!
Lenny: Quick, Der Zip Zorp! Do something!

Carl: Der Zip Zorp is one wise DJ.
Homer: I have a question! I have a question!
Der Zip Zorp: *arrow emoji*
Homer: What? You have to go?
Lenny: I don’t know about wise, but he’s definitely smart.

• Task: Make Der Zip Zorp Bring Electronica to the People4 hours

Bernice Hibbert: You can really bring it, Der Zip Zorp!
Cecil Terwilliger: Indeed! The combination of your sick beats and keen observations on the human psyche have converted me to the cause of electronica.
Barney: Why would anyone listen to anyone else?
Weird Al: Well, there’s always accordion music, right?
Der Zip Zorp: ?
Cecil Terwilliger: “Accordion to who?” Good one, Der Zip Zorp!
Lisa: I’m sorry you had to get sick burned like that, Weird Al, but what can you do?
Weird Al: What can I do, Lisa? The only thing I know how to do…

Reward: 100 $$s, 10 XP

Zen and the Art of Turntable Maintenance Part 4:

Der Zip Zorp: *hand wave emoji*
Helen Lovejoy: Oh my gosh, I can’t believe Der Zip Zorp isn’t too embarrassed to show his face — er, helmet — in public.
Skinner: I never realized how silly his little beep-boop-beep music was until now!
Der Zip Zorp: ?
Homer: I’m sorry, Der Zip Zorp, but it’s all over. You’ve been skewered.
Weird Al: That’s right, pal! Nothing trendy can withstand the onslaught of a good Weird Al parody song. *shreds a killer accordion solo*
DerZipZorp : >:-|

• Task: Make Weird Al Knock Over Keyboards and Turntables4 hours

Weird Al: No-holds-barred celebrity MMA submission fight! But no hairpulling — these locks are amazing. Now are you in, Zorp, or are you chicken?
Der Zip Zorp: >:-|
Lisa: AHEM!

There you have it, what do you think ??
Do you reckon this is a must-buy, a maybe or a hard pass. Often the opinions shared in the comments are a better guide than the post so do add your thoughts on this for any Addict who’s still undecided. Over to you . . .

Oooops. Missed that there’s an Outro Quest after the prize track
I’ve edited the Turbo Tappin to include this. It’s a quick and easy 1 part questline that kicks in when you collect the fifth prize.

  1. I’m not able to buy the character. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn’t work. Any helpful info?

    • Had you attempted to buy it and thought it didn’t work ??
Head to the Friends Towns map and back and wait a minute.

Check inventory Characters bit ( homer on button, top left ) then tap the back arrow over the top left and search the lot.

Wait a minute in case that gave it a nudge – I bought the Key to the City and just yesterday a Barney bundle in my new game and that reminded it to give me the items.

Pop to your Town Hall, tap the Census and scroll to see if it shows up in that list.

Still nothing ?? Open your Store to the Event section and see if it shows the offer there. If not use the Back Arrow then open to categories and tap on Currency ( donut on cash button ) and lastly the Get More in the bottom right by your Donut count,

Still no joy open the Store again and tap the Help button over the top right – that embeds info to help Help find your details and help you. You’re best doing that in UK / US business hours and choosing Live Chat or Phone options to speak directly with an advisor rather then sending emails and waiting for replies that you then email replies back too !!

I’d grab a screenshot of your app store purchase history if that shows you did try and buy it and it just didn’t turn up.

  2. I was pretty sure I would end up buying this, it’s a fun spin [!] on Daft Punk and Dead Maus. I was waiting for this post to be sure. That it’s voiced put it over the top. Have to agree with Roon64 that it would have been better if there were tasks associated with music stores and venues.

  3. Too expensive,

  4. I get the game needs to make money with all the easy free donuts being handed out …… but I’m getting tired of one off real money characters

    • This is one I would have bought if it was located outside one of the record shops and not some random place, that goes for other characters

    • I don’t mind them so much because, eventually, they often come back as regular premium characters, available for donuts. I don’t mind waiting…it’s not like I’m low on characters, lol! But I think it’s totally fair for them to do stuff like that to encourage people to spend real money on the game…after all, they are a business, with staff to pay and other expenses, and the reasonable desire to make a profit. (Not sure whether EA is also a publicly traded company, but if it is, then the shareholders also have a right to expect the company they’ve invested in to try hard to be profitable.) TSTO is actually one of the least money-grubbing ones of the more “professional” games out there!

      • Nearly $127 a share when I just looked

        • Yeah, I thought they were a public company, but wasn’t 100% sure.

On a completely unrelated note, I hate when I reread my comments and find Swype-type typing errors, like “too” instead of “to.” I don’t always take the time to review my posts before submitting them and really wish there was a way to edit them! Oh, well….

          • Typo, what typo ?!? 😁
I hate when I use other forums that need CTRL+Enter for a new line, coz Enter alone posts, and forget that on here the opposite is true and I sent in half a comment !!

          • PS – if readers could edit it’d cause no end of confusion. The comment would need to be passed back for moderation and if the edit made some real changes to the meaning then it could make any replies seem like nonsense – not good

            • I get the past about it being a moderation hassle, but the second part I disagree with, given that, for example, Facebook allows one to edit one’s comments and it rarely causes any confusion. But, whatever…small potatoes in terms of things I’m dealing with in my life right now!

              • Imagine someone posted a view on the UO and then later realised they meant the IRS –

Picture how daft the replies relating to the original comment about the UO would be ?!!

                It’s easy if you try . . . !!

              • BTW – digital hugs and hope life treats you well, somehow I missed that last line.

              • No worries, and thanks. My dad died earlier this month and I’m down in NYC (I live in Massachusetts normally) helping my mom with stuff. I’ve been down here a little over two weeks, but it feels like at least a month! 😔

              • Remember we have a fantastic community here and we’ll always take care of each other in any way we can. Hug your Mom from us all and take care

    • I’d rather they offered these and gave players a choice instead of switching to the ad-funded model a lot of the other free apps out there use.
Given the rise in donut farming – I’ll hold my hands up to being an extreme example of that – they need a way to entice players to want to spend, but they don’t make these items essential and you can play happily without them.

      • Are people allowed to talk sense on the Interweb? 🙂

I probably spend about a pound or two a week on average, and it is a bargain for the amount of fun I get.

I actually think EA do a good job of keeping the game playable without spending money, for those who can’t afford to, but still manage to tempt those of us who can to spend enough to keep it profitable…

And all without the annoying ads that ruin most games!

        Well done EA.
