It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I have a task that is impossible to complete. It is to spend a golden token on donuts but I don’t have any and can’t get any. I contacted EA support and they said they don’t have any tools to remove tasks for you??
Going to fit this into the clash of clone castle I think as short of space, maybe relocate the whole lot across the mountains in the new land.
I now have over 500 characters. I got lucky when I received a character with a building from a previous event at some point with in the last year. It has a 4 hour task for Homer send people to work in the mine along a separate task to send Springfielders to work in the mine. All but about 12 characters will go to the mine and the task stays at the top of their task list so I can auto send them with the unemployment office. As long as I never send Homer on his task it remains available. Make the end so much more time manageable. Before i got that building I often just sent them on the 24 hr task just so I didn’t have to constantly deal with them.
I purchased rapping Bart but it I cannot finish one hit wonder brick wall pt. 4. Make bart rap angrily. Bart is free but can’t complete the quest. There is no quest to send bart to. Does anyone else have this issue as well.
Did you get the Rap Stage ?
If yes tap that and tap to send Bart.
If not you’ll have to look for it returning I think
There are loads of building that could have that option but don’t, stonecutters for instance.
I didn’t get the rap stage. That’s why I can’t send Bart to rap angrily. Thank you for the reply I appreciate it.

I got the lot but it took me a mo to figure that task.
( started my B town after Homerpalooza, needed a lot of Ds )
I haven’t been able to play since 8:00 a.m. this morning. I’ve searched to see if i could find what the problem is but everyone seems to be having no problems.
My new town was tapped and is running as I type
If your game gets stuck in a loop with back to back Bart Screens head to Recent apps and close it ( depends on device but it’s usually as simple as swiping it off the screen ) or head to Settings and find the app and Force Close it – then head to your Home screen and start it from the icon, not a notification.
Usually when it happens to me that solves it.
You get income from the brown houses??
Level 24 and 30% bonus means sitting tapping 13 of them and 6 KEMs every few minutes adds an extra $1,500 an hour or so.
Not going to lie, it’s a grind – but I need the money !!
Plus it’s good practice for when I get to Springfield Heights !!
character jobs. Does anyone send all their characters on jobs, if so how long. Some characters, have you sent them on all their different activities? With new character why do their tasks not include all their different activities?
Every player is different and it depends how often you tap.
I have 3 towns, one new and 2 big older ones.
In the older ones I usually only send daily challenges and the event tasks and the rest do nothing, but I earn enough anyway.
In the little town I’m sat here with everyone not on a quest task set doing 1 hour jobs and tapping Brown Houses every few minutes because I do need the income for that game.
As for the info on new characters, the tasks listed in the info are the ones they can definitely do but there could be others that actually belong to a building or decoration.
If you played the winter event and got the skating rink just about everyone can go there on a 10 minute job, but if you didn’t play that event you don’t have the rink and won’t have the task.
3 games, do you have time for anything else 🤣
Ask me again in April when I might’ve finished Springfield Heights ( I expect to hit lvl 30 by next weekend ) 😁
My A town is post-nuke and needs rebuilt, planned to do that when the snow clears but looks like that’ll be summer now !!
Got my A town on a tablet to my left, a laptop on my knee for checking comments and sorting posts and a Kindle to my right with the new town running next to the phone for my B town – be good to be an octopus right now 😁
There’s 26 letters in the alphabet so plenty scope for expanding lol🤣

Only started this one so I could check what’s back in store for the events. Not doing events, not buying from the Yearbook so if it ain’t in the vault or always in store then once I wrap the levels it’ll just be maintaining and building bonus for those in-store premiums between events.
Had to pause typing to go collect Brown Houses, need to income to get land before I build more and add a load more quests. Put the kettle on about half an hour ago and not got my cuppa yet either !!
Three towns? That means you need two more tapbots! 🙂
I already have 2 tapbots – the original and a mini-tapbot that is slower but easier to set up ( cost less too, still hits 840 boxes an hour ) so there’d be no need for another 2
re: “3 games, do you have time for anything else” I have 5 games. During events it usually takes me less than hour to visit them. (Takes longer when I redesign to add new items). During normal time it takes about 1/2 hour, but I usually only visit once or twice a day.
Wow that’s good going, was thinking of doing a B game but would need to create a new log in.
My Job Sender button broke and I can’t send them all on 4 hour tasks at the same time as I used to.. I have like 250 characters – I only send a few favorites manually on funny visual jobs. Like jobs with Raccoons (Grandma Van Houten, Temperance, Mary Spuckler) or Alien jobs (fighting the B.S. league or drinking Hilarium from the Rigellian Alien Queen) playing with kittens, playing with puppies, Vampire queen hypnotizing, Charcoal Briquette flaming, Panther Marge, RoboCop Marge shooting a machine gun etc…
Try storing the Unemployment Office next time the 24 hour timer comes good and it pays out then head to the Friends Towns section and back and put the UO back where it was and see if that helped
Yay thank you so much Graham, it worked! Went to visit Friends cities and the UO works now. Finally sent all 250 moochers & couch potaters on jobs with just one click! Now building a Medieval corner with castles, cathedrals and straw thatched cabins in anticipation of tomorrow’s Medieval event
Do you by any chance have a daily task for “all Springfielders” to do something? When you have one of those, that task takes precedence and the unemployment office won’t send characters. Once you’ve completed the daily task with the required number of characters, leave the game and come back (or maybe going to your friendvilles and back will do it) and you should be able to use the unemployment office again.
If that’s not the case, then Graham’s advice is your best bet (and there’s actually no harm trying his advice first, either).
Sandra Shill thank you very much for your suggestion as well. It wasn’t the case of the daily task for all moochers, the UOffice buttons were stuck no matter how many free characters were available for jobs. Graham’s trick with visiting friends worked. Are you looking forward to the Medieval event and the snow gone from our cities tomorrow? I know I am. Happy tapping neighboureenos & friends 🙂
