It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Do you think they will ever go back to the old game play like the first Halloween or Christmas events? Where you find items in your town and friends, a lot more fun game play.
i wish. I get so nostalgic when I pull out my metal Christmas tree from one of the OG Christmas events when you had to tap presents.
Makes it feel more involved and less grind-y.

Yes! I was so happy to finally have something to spend some of my 19 Shattered Dreams tokens on! I bought my first item today and was especially gratified to see that it came with dialog and a questline (well it was really just one round of tasks, but, still, nice to have something going on now that I finished the event stuff).
I was happy to have something to spend my token on as well. Looks like they were available last on Black Friday 2019 and 2020? Don’t recall if they were apart of a earlier event or were new items just for Black Friday
They must have been available for real-world cash then, or I would have already gotten them, since I’ve been flush with donuts for years now. I’ve been treating myself to one building a day, to amuse myself between events. Today was VHS Village (formerly Beta Barn)….I wonder what younger players make of some these jokes? 😆

All this Simpsons Tapped out has me hankering to watch the series from the beginning. Do I begrudgingly re-subscribe to Disney because that seems to be the only place streaming it. Hmm.
Also, Amazon Prime has a great documentary on the origins and the whole background story of the Simpsons.

Unfortunately, is not free, even for folks with Amazon Prime. You have to buy (not rent) the episodes, which are $1.99 each or $11.94 for the whole series. (Those are the HD prices…if you’re willing to watch it in SD, then the costs are $0.99 and $5.94, respectively.)
I don’t think I’m willing to pay for it, but I put it on my watchlist, just in case they make it free down the road (or I win big in the lottery).

Icons Unearthed: The Simpsons can also be seen on the Vice network..if you have that station. It’s not on demand yet, but I have seen the program run as a marathon on several occasions..for example..it looks like the first 6 episodes of season 2 are all airing on Sunday..3/19.

Help! I play two TSTO games on the same device. While I have no problem logging in to my “B” game, but my “A” game keeps on coming up with “incorrect code, try again”. Been going on for two days (and not for the first time). Anyone else in the same boat? How do you negotiate EA help to report it?

PS – only add a phone no. to one account so it knows which town to load !!
PPS – it must be the email on the account for that town that gets the codes, type the code not copy n paste, might add a rogue space, and sometimes hitting Verify a second time will work
Success! Logged in to my EA Account, reset my password (set the account up 9 years ago and had forgotten the password = how time flies when you’re having fun!) Tried to change my country and add a phone number – impossible to do either, the selection boxes don’t work. Tried the game again and got straight in – PROBABLY COINCIDENTAL!!!!
It’s a well known tried and tested trick to make a change on the account so it recognises it as current and active if you have problems firing up your town – there’s probably a Last Changed counter on the password somewhere and giving that a kick helps

………………….😱……So I bought Gil’s Deal. Just about fainted when I had to tap on the doughnut confirmation.
That ask’s. Do you really want to spend 250 doughnuts ? It’s like your being warned, this is your last chance to change your mind !! LOL. So anyway, I thought the combo came with yet another useless castle Evil Burns when has there ever been anything but evil. And the Dragon. Which is all I really wanted. Did I make a mistake ?
I bought it too. Love the dragon! And the castle is way better then the final ‘mini’ castle in the Warmfyre event. I’m finally at the point where I can easily buy all the premium items in an event. I made a choise to spend money during the last black friday event but I calculated that I would then have enough in the future without spending money.

I had to share my exciting news…. for my second Simpsons game, I got YAHWEH for my prize for my token!! This was exciting for me, as I always missed it when it came back. I regretted not getting it when it was offered so YAY! Also, just a shout out to the TSTO Addicts page gurus.. you are all so wonderful!! THANK YOU for all you do! A special shout out to Graham S for picking up and carrying the extra webpage load for Alyssa and Safi. Tt is greatly appreciated. I just love this site! (even if I am getting a bit tired of the game itself, haha.. the ‘ugh not this screen again’ is getting REALLY old now.. but at least I have THIS site to always look forward to. 🙂
He is super!! I also have the Donut factory, donut Mech and CostMo for donuts. Also have Golden Goose Realty, Jackpot Realty.. even Yellow Submarine I only miss God I think. He is great for money. Are there any more Premium ++ characters or buildings?
How does God help for money? Yahweh (also God, if we’re getting technical) is great, but the other one just seems like a regular character, with nothing special to him. Am I missing something? As for your other question, there’s One Night Stan’s, which can be used to craft crosswalks, too (much the same as the Yellow Submarine crafts boardwalk tiles).
IIRC the payout for God’s 24h job is mahoosive
