It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons or current Tapped Out event) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Vaguely disappointed with the Billionaire’s club, mega cost and grinding through the tasks to get an uninspiring tiny building. As for the gold road tiles…..
also why can I still not get the last task for the tarot reader to work? I have the tarot table but it won’t let me do the task. anybody fix this? it’s been months.
I’ve got that in one of my towns, needs EA to fix it and it has been reported

I’m working on part 5 of billionaires dream and am 300M away from getting prize. but now it says I don’t have enough money to do Terwilligers task all of a sudden. I have waaaay more than enough money and since when did it require money to do the task? it’s asking for me to spend 640 donuts to do the task. what’s up with that? anybody else?

I wish the Ferris Wheel had an on/off switch. I have one on a dilapidated boardwalk..Fogbury Port..and it would fit the scene better if not running…I’ll probably have to move it..
Has anyone got the Beloved Billionaire’s Club and started producing gold road tiles. Where are you going to put them? I’m starting with the road outside the Simpson’s home so visitors can see them.
My B-town’s been making ’em since last wednesday, but I keep forgetting to collect !!
( it doesn’t show the character with a job-done tick in the character finder !?! )
Gonna stockpile a load then decide where to use ’em
Biggest problem is funding them. Even with 2300% conformometer I am only collecting about $10M per day, so my cash is going down pretty quickly. Any tips on strategy for maxing cash collection.
Mahoosive bonus helps, and the shortest tasks you can time to collect – no point doing 1h tasks if you can’t tap for 8 hours but 7 of ’em in those 8 hours would almost double what you get from 1 x 8h set of jobs
( it’s not 8 x 1h coz you have to collect and resend )
Problem with short tasks is it takes a long time to collect 500 characters. Wish the Employment Office would put characters in as few buildings as possible
I will finished it this night and put it on what I call “the other side” (after the mountains). There I have a lot of free space
I’ve made four…and placed them as sort of an entrance to said Beloved Billionaire’s Club. I’m not really sure if I’ll be making more…not really much use for them now, but some idea may pop..or some future building, home, or..who knows. I’m happy it’s there as an option…
Why did my green icon change?
I don’t pay much attention to those icons, but AFIK they are randomly assigned by a plug-in WordPress uses.
Perhaps if there’s been an update or change to what they use …

Does anyone know the timeline of the days in between events as well as when tsto gets the spoilers?
The timer on the Yearbook is a good indicator of when a new event is coming, but it sometimes just says Limited Time which doesn’t help.
For quite some time it’s been a 2 week mini event followed by a 5 week 4 act event and usually a week off in-between, but they need to miss that break twice a year to fit it all in or it’d be a 54 week cycle !!
They don’t do a spoiler mail-out for mini-events and those who do get them for the 5 week events have to wait for the official TSTO Facebook page to put up the new splash-screen and a teaser first.
Remember though, it’s been 4 days since the last mini-event ended so there should be something fairly soon – if things are staying the same as they have been for a while now …
So it seems I’m 5 hours away from finishing the last of the character unlock quests from the levels in my January research town and running out of reasons to ignore the monorail …
Got a few SH things to do still too, so that’s another 2 free always-in-game characters before I start thinking about the always-in-store premiums.
Doing them the expensive way rather than the yearbook so any returning content always shows up in the event panel for me to double-check for my posts.
It’s worth it though, to make sure I can keep you all informed 😊

Also have a read of recent posts on your chosen thread and send them requests – no point going back too far, they may be full or no longer tapping.
There’s tips on how to send requests in those IIRC, if you need help on that.

Of course, I am not sure if they are really correct. Thank you for the links of your lists. When I finished, I will public in my blog (in Portuguese) and give you credit for the information. Hi! I’m working on a list of the characters I have, in Portuguese and the same in English. Maybe it could be interesting. I have 436. A list of the remaining characters too (531). So, there are a total of 967.

Educated guess it’s now about 670 characters and 230 skins
Based on 2 years worth of 6 mini and 6 muti act events each year and it’s a bit behind, so 13 of each …
Multi: cash deal, gil deal, 4 prizes, 4 premiums
= 10 x 13 = 130
Mini: cash deal, prize + premium
= 3 x 13 = 39
534 + 197 = 731 + 130 + 39 = 900
.. and some guesswork on which were skins or characters

Are you talking about in the game? There are definitely not 967 characters! The number is somewhere in the low-to-mid 600s. But maybe I misunderstood what you were saying?
