Wookieecorp brings you… A-maze-ing Design

Hey hey friends… how’s life?  So the other day I found myself with a bit of free time in my game and was tinkering around with designs.  Staring at the Shinning Maze, I wished it was larger and then I thought to myself… “Self.  What if you just created your own?  If you’d thought of this two weeks ago, you could have saved yourself 55 donuts.” Well… regardless of a premium splurge I feel “meh” about… I did just that.

TSTO 101: Parking Lots And Driving Cars

Hey there Hoppereenos!

Bouncing on by with a lil fun run down of some design ideas that have been in the game a while.

We have been seeing an influx of comments from Players wanting areas to put their Cars. Whether it is finding a way to “Park” them or a way to make the “Drive” around town. We have posted similar ideas in the past, but it seems like the perfect time to put up a new and fresh perspective on them.

For more on the “Bumper Cars”, see post HERE. You can also give it and any path or road a “curved” look to it by adding a few small shrubs or other small items to the corners instead. 😉

Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out!  This week’s post comes to us from reader tiff.  Besides reading this great site, Tiff shared an awesome image of some 3D additions she did to her outdoor opera stage on the origin post. Well, I reached out and not only was she willing to have a how-to done for her design, she went the extra step to do it all for you readers.  Without further ado, here’s the awesomeess she came up with to give your opera a 3D upgrade.

Addicts How To: Buying Land

Hello hello Addictereenos!

I hope everyone is having as much fun possible with this very different Medieval Event we have going on in TSTO right now.  With new levels, there’s lots of new stuff that comes with it and this time… WE ACTUALLY GOT MORE LAND.  You asked and EA answered.

The last time EA gave us land was way back during Halloween 2013 and here at TSTO Addicts, we’ve been seeing quite a few questions about buying it.  Makes me think EA drug their programming feet so long we may have all forgotten how we bought land once upon a time.  Seeing a possible need for a quick tutorial, I figured I’d just pop in with a refresher for young and old tappers a like.  Click more if you need the help.

NOTE: There’s also an image of all the available land currently in the game tight at the start of the post if that’s your bag.

Nuclear Option PSA… (updated with results)

Update 6/26/14 (Alissa): The Gil deal has brought back the nuclear option.  It orginally disappeared due to issues of items disappearing from tapper’s inventories but now it’s back in your games!  Woo-hoo!  Go blow stuff up now!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just dropping in with a quick PSA on a NEW feature with the Stonecutters update…the Nuclear Option!

That’s right Tappers…EA has FINALLY given those who want to completely redesign their Springfield the button they’ve all been most coveting….a STORE ALL button!

But we want to warn you…be careful!  If you Tap on this and go through with it…YOUR ENTIRE SPRINGFIELD WILL BE STORED.  Great tool if you want to rebuild your Springfield…bad tool if you’re aimlessly tapping.

Here’s how you access the Nuclear Option: Continue reading

Build Your Own Minifigs

Well hello tapperinos.  Our week of Simpsons minifig contests is over and a bunch of tappers got some cool Simpsons minfigs to enjoy.  Here at Addicts, we wish there was a way to give out even more than we did but money doesn’t grow on trees… not even in Springfield.

Bummer and bummer but I did find something pretty snazzy where you COULD make your own minifigs if you were so inclined.  I found this article online and laughed as I watched Chicago animator David Pickett create our favorite family from various blocks.  Click the link below the image to get to the article and video.  It’s over 30 minutes long but I was riveted.

Homemade Lego Minifigs

I have no clue what the cost of all these pieces would be if you had to buy them   (a complete set of the pre-made Simpsons family would be $19.95 US) but tell your Mom, tell your Dad, this is Super Rad.  Really makes me want to visit the Lego store to get Ralph and a bunch of random pieces for the project.  Seems like it truly would be a fun project.  One things for certain, this guy is a GENIUS.

Well, if any of you Addicts do build even one of these, please share with the group.  Until next time, I remain the resident fuzzball.  You stay you, classy as usual.

Weekend Update: April 27th-May 3rd!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Happy Weekend!  As you may have seen sporadically in the comments…our very own Bunny is pretty sick.  Going from the heat of the desert to the cold of the basement got to her a little too hard.  She’s currently in bed resting…and banned from the blog until she’s better!…which means I get to take over the Weekend Update!  Woo-hoo!

What a crazy week it was…so in case you missed one second of the awesome coverage here at Addicts (well where the heck were you?!) let’s get right into the recap…..

Let’s Chat Neighbors

Hey there Hoppereenos. Bouncing on in to let you in on a lil secret. Well, maybe not so much a “secret”. I have been so crazy involved in the fun and excitement of the “BUNNY EVENT”, that I forgot to tell you all about a cool new feature in the Origin Desktop Manager. Sit tight, this is a good one.

Heroes in a Half Shell… 2D Power

Cowabunga dudes and dudettes!

How are my totally righteous tapperino pals doing on this glorious 2D Tuesday? Well, if you haven’t guessed from the 80s lingo and post title, today’s post has nothing to do with the Simpsons or Easter and everything to do with those amazing ninjutsu and pizza lovers who fight The Foot.  Yup… the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
