These are just a few of the FAQ’s I’ve noticed come up a lot with TSTO, and some that are just fun facts to know.
How many characters have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of Level 32/Krustyland Expansion there are 80 Characters that have been introduced to the game at some point, either as a limited time character or a permanent addition. These include characters that have no tasks and only walk around.
As of 3/14/19 there are 403 playable characters (not including skins) and 144 NPCs.
When I visit my friend’s town why are some of their characters dressed differently than mine?
From time to time EA will introduce a costume for a character, already in the game, that will open up a whole new quest line for that character. Sometimes these costumes come out with a big event (like Christmas and Halloween) and other times they’re introduced as part of a promotion for an upcoming episode of the Simpsons.
As of Level 32 there are 15 total costumes that have been introduced. Out of that 15 only 2 of them are permanent additions (McBain & Kamp Bart), and they both cost donuts to unlock.
What about Chief Wiggum? Doesn’t he have a costume? Sometimes I see him walking around my neighbors Springfield in a dress.
Chief Wiggum does not have a costume, however if you send him on his 24 hour task (Go on a Stakeout) he will walk around Springfield in a dress and blue wig.
How many buildings have been introduced in TSTO to date?
As of level 32 (not including Krustyland) there have been 98 buildings released, between permanent additions, limited-time, and premium.
Do all of the buildings earn money?
No. While almost all of the buildings earn money there are a handful of buildings that do not earn money but have other tasks. Cletus’s Farm does not earn money as the other buildings do instead it earns money through growing crops, Channel 6 earns money through news broadcasts and Open Air Stage earns money through characters performing. While Springfield Downs earns money through betting on the Dog Races.
Town Hall, Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Elementary & the Police Station do not earn money. However, your neighbors can vandalize those buildings with spray paint while visiting and you earn money from cleaning up the spray paint.
Finally, Springfield Retirement Castle is the one building that does not earn money, has no tasks to earn money, and cannot be vandalized. However, it’s a building you must purchase in order to get Grandpa Simpson.
How large can I expand my Springfield to?
Including the water and shoreline Springfield is 18×18.
Krustyland is a 10×10 square.
How much would it cost to purchase all the available land in Springfield?
To purchase all of the land in Springfield, 326 squares, it would cost $44,992,890 game dollars.
To purchase all of the land in Krustyland, 100 squares, it would cost 469,000 tickets.
Where can I find a map of all the available land in Springfield?

Are the beach hideaway upgrades going away when the limited time is up or can they still be upgraded because the were purchased with donuts?

Happens sometimes, on EA’s end. You can wait it out or try contacting them directly.
I stored my XP collider a while back, and now I can’t find it. The build menu has a category for it, but my storage doesn’t. Not really sure whether it has disappeared, or if I’m just not looking in the right place for it.
Check your while inventory list not the categories
Does anyone have this glitch where on the task notebook, it shows that a task is complete even when you didn’t do it yet? I’m on level 42 and I first had this issue with Mr. Burns’ money mountain (still remaining) and now, a Mr. Smithers’ task is also shown completed even when it’s not even touched yet.
I have it also. On level 109. Does the same with Lisa and the tree. Haven’t figured out why yet….
Has anyone had a problem with not being able to zoom out? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S that I play on and it updated to marshmallow yesterday. Ever since the update I can’t zoom out anywhere in the game. Everything is extremely zoomed in…incredibly annoying. Anyone know of a fix? Thanks!!!
I’ve heard about this happening on some Samsung devices. I have an S7 and it hasn’t happened to me however what I’ve heard is that people should download the app called game tuner by Samsung and that it gives you the ability to do some modifications to resolution and things like that. Give that a try and let us know if it helped.
Is Alternate Evil Homer a task less character like the evil robot hawk something? Sci Fighter is still in my Springfield with the sci fighter symbol displayed. Does it harm anything to say Yes to the question of are you sure you want to play. I did roam your website and didn’t see the answers, although the very well may be there.
He’s an NPC, evil Homer.
The SciFighter game remains, you’re safe to play. It pays out SH currency.

Need free donuts and have a lot of $$
Buy as many mouse trap truck as you can, it makes you level up fast and gives you 1 donut for each level up. Plus you just have to sell back the trucks when you’re done..!!
You forgot about the 3 building set for the nuclear power plant that also earn no money, have no tasks, but are required for a character
I have just started neighbor visits during the future Springfield event and now that I’ve updated, I am seeing lemon trees in a lot of neighbor towns. There seems to be a bonus when I tap on the lemon basket. I have done a search for info, but only found Patric’s excellent recap on where it came from ( thanks, Patric). What’s the deal-ee-o?

OMG how many lard lands do we need, i want the character but not the lard land when i just got one for free ! .? EA isnt showing much imagination.

I have a question about Duff Gardens.. There’s a little face floating on top of the castel, which makes it look like there’s a mini game like the maggy one. But I can’t seem to find the way to trigger it on.. Any idea what’s happening..??
If you did the update, it opened the game. When You click on the face, it opens the game…to win Dutch Dollies. Be forewarned. It’s kinda lame…and the robot dollies are creepie!
The only thing it does for me is i can send ppl to visit the place and when they are done i receive a creepy doll female or male randomly.. But it’s more of a daily job than a mini game tho..
That is the game. That’s it. Boom. Like I said…not much of a game.
Yeah, it looks like a mini update has already hit. I just have to free up Homer to kickstart it.
So, what happens your future bucks, antimatter, and robot parts once you update?

I’m a level 60 but to others it shows a level 18 with a town completely different than mines. Does anyone know why that is or have anybody else have/had this problem and know how to fix it?

Hi David 😊 I’ve used EA help where the option of calling you back worked great. They tell you at the beginning of the call how long it will be, & it’s always been by then, or earlier, when they’ve called. Everyone here wishes we had the ability to fix your game, but only the game company can. Good luck 😊
I missed out on casino bart and a treehouse of horror pirate kang. Anyway of obtaining them. They are the only 2 I’m missing
EA may make them available in the future but only time will tell. Pirate Kang may be offered as a premium this Halloween so I’ll keep my furry fingers crossed for ya. Casino Bart… no clue.

Okay, first, no one in this site has done anything to you…neither this site, nor the moderators here, have any connection to EA.

David…I assume “you guys” you mean EA. It is frustrating. For sure. EA gives and EA takes away. But, “start over?” Did your game reset? You need to contact EA on that. But, if you don’t have an origin ID/username you may be in trouble.

If you open daily challenges and click on it there, it might help if your game just isn’t recognizing. Your other option is to dismiss that task. You can do this one time per day, but there is no per-task limit. This means that if you dismiss that task and the next one doesn’t pay donuts, you can keep dismissing that same task until you get one you like.

This may have been asked before but, is there a way to get rid of the little white rabbits hopping all over town? I am so tired of accidentally tapping one and suddenly being transported to the rabbit task (usually have the rabbit at Cletus farm on the 24 hour task). Thanks for any help.
Unfortunately, prevention is probably the most effective way to stop this. I don’t use that task for exactly that reason, it’s annoying.
