UPDATE: Looks like EA lowered the time for the Hunt Nightmares task. It’s now been reduced to 4hrs from 8hrs. So you should earn twice as many each day. This will be a big help for many of you worrying about just how you’ll earn the 9,000+ Candy Apples for Act 3.
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just popping in with a quick tip for earning more nightmares via the Hunting Nightmares Task. We’re seeing loads of you in the comments upset because you’ll send all your kids to Hunt Nightmares, and it’ll only yield 20 when the task is complete.
So why is that? Well it’s because the max in your town allowed at one time is 20. Now there’s been a bank of 40 throughout the entire event (that your nightmares will appear from when you clear the first 20), but it appears that..at least for now..the bank isn’t working with the Hunt Nightmares task.
So how to we optimize and get the most out of the task to yield the most Candy Apples? Let’s take a look….
The 2015 THOH Event hit our devices recently and it appears that it’s setup much like previous events..in various Acts.
Act 3 started earlier today and runs until November 17th. And as usual a questline is provided to help guide you along the way. So let’s take a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of the THOH questline for Act 3….
As many of you have pointed out this morning, 2 new premium items arrived in our stores. Two costumes for characters many of you have been asking how to get for a while now…Acorn Kirk and Squirrel Luann!
We’ll break down the full pros and cons on a should I buy post a little later today (I forgot Act 2 ends tonight and Act 3 starts tomorrow..so this Should I Buy will have to be put off for a little bit)…but here are a few basics…
Just dropping in with a quick note…while Act 2 doesn’t end until Wednesday morning…the three premium items that arrived with it will be leaving our games in the morning. So tonight’s your last chance to pick up the Halloween Party Wall, Light-Up Elder God & Wavy-arm Elder God.
Now I didn’t do a Should I Buy for these three…sorry about that, but I figured I’d do a quick recap on what each item is/does now. So here’s a look at each item to help you make up your mind before they leave the store…
The Bad Dream House made a return to our games recently and if you already had Devil Flanders, a fun little questline pops up with it. This questline will only trigger if you have Devil Flanders and the Bad Dream House. However, if you only have the Bad Dream House you’ll still be able to send the characters on tasks there (Willie, Bart, Lisa, Homer & Comic Book Guy) to animate the house this year. And we all know one of the best things about the Bad Dream House is it’s animation…
So let’s take a quick look at this little questline and the horror at the Bad Dream House now…
With so many updates hitting us rapid fire the last couple of weeks, I haven’t had a chance to post the conform-o-meter impacts for each of these mini updates. Which means it’s the perfect time for a Conform-O-Meter catch up post!
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
As many of you know by now only Level Updates make changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, so with the two episode tie-ins and Gil deal (even THOH) no changes were made to the Conform-O-Meter. However, several items were added that impact our meters. So let’s take a look at them now… Continue reading →
Looks like Ol’ Gil is back in Springfield…good to see the mob that drove him out during the Monorail Event couldn’t keep him away! And this time he’s got a trick or treat of a Halloween Deal for us…depending on how you look at it.
Back with more on this in a bit, as soon as I’ve had a chance to go through it… More details below the fold…
So, as many of you have noticed, we’ve received several returning THOH items in our stores this morning. Since we’ve covered all of these at one point or another, I initially wasn’t going to write a post about them…but after the confusion some of you had last time returning items were released I figured better safe than sorry.
Well here we are, in most Tappers favorite time of the year in Springfield….Halloween! The leaves on the tress have changed colors, the water is murky and there’s a darkness that falls over our TSTO screens. All of these effects fit in perfectly with this year’s theme….Nightmares.
For the last year (THOH 2014 was the first year they did this), EA has broken up Events into stages. Where every couple of weeks new prizes will be released. They’ve also, over the last year, added an element of crafting to each Event, where you pick which prizes you want and craft accordingly. And they’ve continued both methods into THOH 2015.
While the prizes themselves are pretty self explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”. Crafting requires some self direction. You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly. Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. However, crafting for this event is pretty simple and straight forward…and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to get every craftable item you want this time around.
Now I know some of you still have questions about what to craft, if you should wait or craft now and what will happen in future Acts for THOH…so as we’ve done in the past, we’re here to breakdown all the crafting fun for you guys. So let’s take a look at the complete guide to Crafting in Act 2….
