Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out! Wookiee here to introduce this week’s post. Last week my Mom was out browsing the blogosphere and may have seen some stuff that made her angry. After calming her down, I did encourage her to write about whatever she felt like for a Mouths of Addicts post. Without further ado, here she is…WookieMama here. First off I am not a dung beetle, not a gamer and really not that original. I am just a cranky old lady who enjoys playing a silly game with yellow-fingered people and sharing the game with her family. Events are fun but so is the time in between.
I have been playing for a few months now. I visit my neighbors on an almost daily basis and enjoy looking at what they have done with their towns. I started off just plopping buildings anywhere just so I could level up on tasks. On experience points, I am at level 37. I find it unbelievable that I have reached that level just from playing daily. I have bought some premium items but I really have tried to keep this a freemium game as much as possible.
Recently I decided that my town needed to be more organized and to look better, at least to me, so I started moving things around and creating little areas. I am on a mission for everything to have a place of its own that makes sense to me and my crazy imagination. I had a “slum” of nine brown houses that really bugged me. I do not like the look of tons of houses in rows. The Wookiee and I were talking about the game and I commented on my “slum.” He suggested that the brown houses could be used as cabins for Kamp Krusty. He knew I had bought Kamp Krusty even though he wasn’t sure why I spent donuts on it since I have never seen the Simpson episode it is from. I actually bought it because of the things we did together a long time ago as he was growing up. I had tried to think of a way to make it look a little like a scout camp in our nearby mountains and the cabin idea was spot on.
So now I needed to save money to buy land along the mountains and begin to rearrange things. As I moved brown houses I realized I need trees – lots of trees – to nestle the cabins in. In my head a story grew about the Kamp and the different uses of the cabins during the year. In summer, lots of campers, in winter, cozy romantic get-aways. The Kamp could be bigger because it was near the nuclear power plant and the land was cheap because of contamination LOL. It is still a work in progress and will continue to grow. Maybe some “nicer” cabins in the future.
So now the Valentine Day event starts and I am excited. I am a hopeless romantic/princess waiting for my knight to arrive someday. I visit my neighbors every day, leaving valentines when possible. I moan and complain about how few of my neighbors are visiting me on a regular basis and leaving me valentines. I am growing roses every day. I have a plan for them. I want to spin the wheel over and over. There are certain things I want lots of because I have future plans for them once I have more land.
On FB, I see a picture of what one person did with Madame Chaos. I like the concept and modify it for me. A romantic restaurant with outdoor seating that gives a little intimacy, with a little romantic park right next door to sit in while waiting for a table.
I have always kept my nuclear waste and it always seemed to be a moving dump site that didn’t belong where it was. I am still buying land instead of buildings. Heck if I don’t buy buildings it will mean that tasks will be there to complete once I have gotten over my greedy need for land. I buy more land along the mountains and move my nuclear plant alongside Kamp Krusty. Fits the storyline I have in my head but something is missing. Once again the Wookiee has to listen to my whining and throws out a couple of suggestions. My creative thoughts start running and my tapping starts going crazy. I move my dump site outside the gates of the plant, have the plow truck pushing waste to clear a road and for fun put a choo choo train in with the waste. Still needs more land to be completed but I love it.
I visit other blogs but I always return to Addicts and it is not just because I am the WookieeMama. I play the game when waiting for shows and rides at Disneyland (I go a lot since I live close) and get into discussions about the game. I have added neighbors during these times. I always ask if they read any of the blogs and if so which one(s). I have had parents tell me they will not allow their child who plays the game to go on any of the blogs because of content. I always suggest they check out Addicts. It’s family friendly. No bashing of EA and other blogs, no vulgar language and you can easily pick and choose what content area you want to visit.
So… I’m gonna keep on tapping as long as it’s fun, ignore the negative things that other people say and enjoy my son’s blog. Sure, I’m a little biased but there’s all kinds of bias to be found on the internet. Mostly crank old ladies like me. Like my son says and stole from me btw, TTFN… Wookieemama out!
P.S. That is my origin name. Still looking for dedicated friends to share the love of TSTO year round.
For the record, I’m pretty sure I stole it from Tigger. My Mama may be a little crazy but I love her. If you’re curious, yes, I was a cub scout and boy scout. Seems mi madre may have caught the writing bug from her giant, furry baby boy. Also possible it’s gentetic. Kinda wish I’d let her write her original idea of a rant but there’s enough of that in the world. Rule #1 might be let the wookiee win but it probably really should be don’t anger the wookiee’s mama.
Anywho… sound off in the comments below if you like. Do you do any decorating with other tappers? Ever get heated by what you read in the world? Got something you’re dying to show off? Don’t let my Mom be the only person having her say. I know there’s a ton of creative folks here on the site and can guarantee one or two of you can wordsling with the best of us.
TTFN… Wookiee out!
